It's 'WORD' Week at Just Us Girls

Elizabeth is Hosting again this week for
our Word Week at Just Us Girls
and picked that one word that can lift
anyone's spirits in such a simple way.
Of course an Encouragement card can do the trick!

I went with a light hearted way with the
WORD - ENCOURAGEMENT.
STAMPloratons has a bunch of
great encouragement word stamps and
while I was flipping through them
I came across the one I used here
and a few others, not sure at that stage
where this card was heading.
My background is from my bits box.
You never know what didn't work out
at the time comes in handy for times like this.
Added a flicker or more white paint then
heat embossed the feather in white.
Looking rather lonely I decided to heat emboss
a seconed one on vellum and used the die
that comes with the
Feathery Set from STAMPlorations.
Inked the appropriate sentiment in black
and decided to tear around the edges
giving it a little left.
Added a small frame to blend in with the background
and adhered to white base.
Pop over and check out what our Guest Laurel
and the Team created as an
Encouragement card to show they care.

  1. Ina, you had me at vellum, especially heat embossed! It softens the look and your fun sentiment does, too!

  3. Ina... love how you and Sue used a play on words. The red, white, and blue background is wonderful for those vellum flowers... so nice!

  4. Good thing you saved that background! It looks perfect with the feathers and I love the sentiment! So wonderful that Shery is well enough to reopen Stamplorations!

  6. That is a fabulous background and I'm glad you found the perfect use for it, Ina. It works great behind your feathers.
