Living Life!

Hello and Welcome back to a New Year of Mixed Media at

Here is my Mixed Media Make that came together
by chance with another challenge in mind. As I played on
I knew it was perfect for our challenge.

As a result I wasn't taking progress photos.
I started with a cardboard back covered with gesso.
I then coloured with Lindy's Magical's
then again with  stencil work from AALL&Create Mock Croc
and reversed for more effect.
Also used the same stencil for the crackle effect.
Cut out some coloured hollyhock dies and branches.
Inked some random Ledge Script stamping  from Tim Holtz.
Sentiment stamp is from AALL&Create Lotus Clusters,
torn around the edges, inked and popped. Ruffled the edges
of the main piece.
Added a bunch of thread and a heart to finish
(but no)  I decided to adhere to a 5in by 7in canvas panel.
I wanted more colour.
I had one that had texture paste on it
and coloured it up with a whole lot of product.
A quick run down on colours used -
Lindy's Witches Potion Purple
Have a Scone Heather
Tim's Villainous Potion
VersaFine Clair Nocturne/Monarch..

Here's a few close ups

My talented Team Mates have also been busy
creating over our hiatus and are looking forward to
checking them out and leaving kind comments.
Now it is your turn to have some fun and add your
Mixed Media with multiple mediums to our Gallery.

Thank you for taking time to visit and leave a comment.
They are truly inspiring and encouraging.

  3. A riot of shapes and texture, so beautiful Ina. I also love that you've stuck to one color family to give the layered textures a strong focus. So glad you changed your mind and showcased this in our challenge, haha. Happy February. Anita xx
