I lay the popped pumpkin onto a bed of sisal.

Adhered to brown card base.

My Sistah's have had fun creating with our

'Pumpkin' Theme and I am sure you will too.

Christmas Time is fast approaching so we really

should have started making those cards for Family and Friends

I decided to case a card I did for CCC in March last year Here

It is such an easy one to make. This time I changed the colours

and a few other things as you see below.

I changed the card base to blue, heat embossed my

STAMPlorations Large Flower

with white embossing powder

masking and inking with Tim's Mermaid Lagoon.

Sponged inside the flower to highlight.

Added splattered snow with posca pen,

Shimmer and Liquid Pearls to centre of flower.

Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers,

Cut corners and adhered to white card base.

With those lovely colours Tim's Wildflower Dies

screamed out to be used - so easy to create

something pretty with them.

The background was inked with his

 Distress Inks and Nuvo Shimmer Powders

as was the flowers. Other die cut is kraft.

Added stamping and stenciling from

AALL&Create in tan colours.

Kaisercraft Texture die,

Sentiment is from STAMPlorations,

Tiny ribbon from my stash.

Pearls to main flower, posca pen splatters.

Framed and adhered to kraft card base.

HLS Stencil Challenge...

 It's Stencil Time at Happy Little Stampers

I'm going all out bright this month.

My background is inked with

Tim's Distress inks then

stencilled the die with texture paste.

Added some speckles from Tim also.

Die cuts are Tim's Artsy Flowers

with black thred on top.

Sentiment is SU

Adhered to purple card base.

Doing What I Love!

It's time for our New Anything Mixed Media Goes at

 Creative Artiste Mixed Media

Here is my make for October.

It all began with - a splashing of colours

and some stencilling from AALL& Create

and Tim Holtz

I die cut a bunch of Hexagons and 

one of Tim's Wldflower from

some oriental DP

Did you notice I cut two extra flower heads?

Adding more texture with randomly adding

opaque crackle paste mixed with

Nuvo shimmer powder.

Before it was dry

and after

Added a little bit of interest with some random circles.

and dropped brown Magical's on top and 

behind some of the hexagons to highlight.

On to the flower - attached the two heads

adding texture paste to the centre, roughed up and sprayed

with more Magical's (love the shimmer)

adding leftovers to the left hand corner.

 a twine bow, teeny sentiment

from Tim's Small Talk

and adhered to kraft cardboard base.

My favourite colour challenge - Color Hues latest Challenge is live

and what gorgeous colours for us to play with.

You will want to play like me for sure.

These colours go together beautifully don't they?

It has been a while since I participated here and 

made time to play - housework can wait.

After seeing Nancy use her gingko dies recently

I thought my completely different ones would

go nicely with these colours.

I inked my SU gingko flowers in Tangarine Tango,

 softer in Calypso Coral. Background

is heat embossed in WOW clear gloss.

Lightly sponged the background

and added die cuts for dimention.

Some have a touch of shimmer.

Finished with die cutting the sentiment

 shorter from the set.

Case-ing our DT Host

It's our Case a DT Challenge at Just Us Girls

and Hosting is Vicki.

While browsing Pinterest some time ago

I came across a card by our very own Vicki Here

made way back in March 2013 so kept it in mind

for this very Challenge.

Here is my 'CASE' of Vicki's very soft pretty card

 with my somewhat brighter one!

How styles have changed eh! But I do like

Vicki's beautiful card so cased it for fun.

I am a little disappointed it didn't turn out as nice

as I had hoped. My starting point was the three flowers.

I wanted to use the few I had left from 

Inspired by Stamping - Now closed.

The Owner Joanne lived in Australia for a time and

I bought a bunch of her fabulous products.

Vicki was lucky enough to be on her Design Team.

After heading off to create it I realized near the end

 they were too big.

I chose to use the coloured card stock to match those flowers

and had to find ribbon the same to make a soft bow.

Then to find colours that would blend with the rich burgandy.

The two I picked seemed to blend in quite nicely.

Thought I had an ef the same as Vicki's only to find it

was a stencil so chose another. The strip on the side

is the same (I think) and an old MS punch.

The die cut frames and sentiment are from IBS.

Added my flowers (not as nice as the IBS ones)

 a few pearls and adhered to the burgandy card stock.

You  will see an amazing array of Anything Goes cards

from the Team then pick one you would like to 'case'

and add to our Gallery mentioning who's card took your fancy.

The 'Shape of Things'

Our New Challenge over at The Sisterhood of Crafters

is all about shapes of all sorts

I found this Layered Circle Technique recently

on YouTube Here

and decided to try it out with some DP's in my stash.

So easy to make and so 'fun'.

Circle die cuts are from MFT and the

small circles - Ringlets from Memory Box

Sentiment is from STAMPlorations

and finished with adhering to white card base.

Just before that I decided to add it on an angle

just to be a little different.

It's CAS Week at Just Us Girls

Welcome to my Saturday post for Just Us Girls

I don't have anything I thought suitable in my stash so

I cheated here and downloaded a 

cute precoloured image (Sorry)

Inked some colour for the young golfer to stand on.

Die cut with a MFT oval and

again with the bigger one with some DP.

Embossed an old CB folder, attached to

white card base and added sentiment

from Tim's Small Talk.

It's Photo/Mood Board Week at JUGS

Carol M is our Host at Just Us Girls for our

Photo/Mood Board Challenge and it is

full of wonderful colours and earthly elements.

It's always interesting to see what is taken 

and created from it.

 

I love creating with corrugated cardboard and works perfectly

with my golden gilding flake leaf. I don't know who made it

as it was purchased at a craft show some years ago.

Cardboard has texture pastefor dimension.

cut in black (bow shadowed in yellow)

adhered to black card base.

 The background and the variegated colours used

are just my style so this is a case of Sharon White's card.

Also perfect as the stamp/die set used are from 

Altenew-  Beautiful Day Found Here

I heat embossed my florals with 

Lindy's Prairie Wildflowers Magical Set.

The background is a little hard to see and is 

Seth Apter's stamp SBS-020 inked

with heavy gesso onto white card stock and

 lightly sponged with Tim's Frayed Burlap.

Sentiment is from the Beautiful Day Set

 heat embossed in Gold onto vellum.

Added a pearl to the popped die cut flower,

some scattered coloured pearls and splatters.

Adhered to gold card base.

Imagine the Impossible

 It's Saturday and Just Us Girls Day

Bobby is Hosting our Word Challenge and it is a

Super Fun One. There's sure to be

all sorts of Moons in our Gallery this week.

Don't mess with Magical's if you don't want colourful fingers.

In my case they are tones of very rich shimmery blue/silver. 

However I did have fun smooching/spraying lots for the 

background universe and my MOON!

My silver posca pen had a workout with the

 'twinkle twinkle' not so little stars.

The sentiment is from STAMPlorations

and thought it quite appropriate.
