It's that time of the month for our
TREND WEEK
and our Host MARIA has chosen Watercolouring.
Now I had a LOT of fun with this one
even though as you will see it was a little messy
My craft mat cleaned up better than my fingers.
Here's what my mat look like after I spritzed with water
and inked up my watercolour paper.
I dried most of it off with my heat gun but then decided
to leave it overnight and finish it off the next day.

Here are the products I used -
Basic coloured card stock as my base
and embossed frame which is by Stampin' Up
and slightly popped.
Black for matting
The beautiful flower is from
Inspired by Stamping - Elegant Flowers
and heat embossed in black to the watercolour background
popped for dimension.
Tag - JustRite
Sentiment - GKD
Several coloured inks
Kaisercraft ribbon slightly melted with heat gun
and finished with a few pearls.
Don't forget to pop over to Our Blog to
check out what our Guest Louise and
the Team have created with this fun challenge.
Hope to see you there.
For October & November Only:
If you are picked as Chic of the Week for any of our
October and November challenges,
you'll be in the running to be chosen as
one of two Guest Designers for the month of January 2016!
The Team will be taking a 2 week break in December,
so we will not have a Guest Designer for December.
It's MAGNIFICENT!!! I loved seeing the picture of the mat too. Always fun to see how things originated and from what. Your card turned out sensational, Ina. I love the purple with the blue cardstock.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend!

Love background like this -- hate the mess they make :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the effect you got with the spritzing technique. It's one of my very favorites. Your colors are awesome, and I like how you just stamped the image with black over the watercolored background. Very effective, thanks for the inspiration here. Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful coloring for the background and even though this is a messy thing to do I always love to see the end results.
