Sharyn is our Hostess this week at
What do you see that inspires you here?
I saw the Chevrons and pretty pillows
I cut out a template and went from there.
Here are the products I used -
Navy and white card stock
Scrap DP
Kaisercraft leaf die
SU Butterfly
Several scrunched inked yellow silk flowers
(think I was a bit heavy handed inking them)
Memento Paris Dusk on
Sentiment from IBS
White brad (yay got to use another one lol)
The chevrons were popped for 3d effect.
That's it for now but be sure to pop over to our Blog
to check out what inspired our Guesties and DT.
Hope you get a chance to play with us this week.
Hello Ina! I just wanted to drop in and say that I love your card this week. I think that the inspiration photo is very cute, but I don't have much in the way of nautical stamps in my collection. I see that you went in a different direction and I love it! I would have had to do that too.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful design here Ina!! I love your flower and the chevron pattern cut going across the front!! Great interpretation of the photo! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your take on the photo, really pretty. Your flower is gorgeous, and I really like the white on top of the patterned paper and navy. Cute little butterfly, a great finishing touch!
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous card and awesome colors used.
ReplyDeleteFun cut out chevrons and great inspired card
ReplyDeleteI love your feminine take on the inspiration photo! Those chevrons you cut into your focal panel are so cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat an inspired way to work those chevrons in. Love the look of the patterned paper behind them.....nicely done!
ReplyDeleteLove how you interpreted the chevrons...very clever! And your flower is gorgeous! Very pretty card Ina!
ReplyDeleteIna, this is beautiful! I love the cut apart chevrons with the patterned paper behind them. I really like how you tinged the flower with the blue. Great design.
ReplyDeleteI wish I would have thought to do the negative on my chevrons! Brilliant idea and wonderful card Ina! You always do such a great job!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing when you use ONE brad from the gazillion in your stash, and it makes you feel like you used ALL of them?! LOL! Your card is gorgeous, and I love how you put the DP behind the chevron die cuts. Your inked flower looks awesome - just the right amount of ink used!
ReplyDeleteThis a great take on the challenge. Love the paper behind the cut out,the pretty
ReplyDeleteflower.
