I was super excited when I saw the latest challenge over at
'cause you have to make a cas card with Plaid
Now to me being a Scot - it is Tartan
and what better stamp to use was the
very appropriate Thistle I bought while holidaying in my
Homeland of Scotland.
My bff bought the tartan paper I used for my background
while she was in London and I love it to bits.
It is from Boofle.
I stamped my image with Memento Pistachio
and cut it out with Spellbnders Floral Ovals
then inked the edges.
I added a touch of yellow to the flower
and enhanced the thistle also with a bit of colour.
The top of the thistle has a generous amount of
Heather coloured Flower soft.
My sentiment is a die cut from Spellbinders.
Finishing off with a cotton bow.
This really was a simple and quick card.
I will send it on to my niece for
her birthday as she was with me
when we visited Bonny Scotland.
Thanks for dropping in

This card is awesome!! Didn't know plaid is also called tartan.....I thought tartan was a particular pattern of plaid. Learn something new every day. I love that thistle too...so pretty.
ReplyDeleteDid not know you were a Scot. My son-in-law hails from there and I went to my daughters wedding there ans saw all the heather in bloom. Wonderful project. The die cut is perfect for featuring your pretty focal image.
