Let it 'SHINE'

Hi there Crafty Ones! It's time to show/tell you what our
New Challenge is over at Just Us Girls and
Hosting is Judy. She has asked for 'SHINE'
So 'Shine' it is!
I took several shots trying to showcase how shiny my card is.

I got out my Gilding Flakes to use as my 'Shine'
trying once more not to get sticky fingers (alas it failed)
So onto the start of my card -
Card Base is white and I stenciled a feather on the side with
Gold Colour Blast Paste. For my feature I stenciled
another feather with white texture paste and randomly adding
a little Inka Gold and splatters. This was popped.
My feathers are from SU 4 Feathers - the middle one
inked with TH peacock Feathers and dipped in Inka Gold.
The other 2 are covered with Autumn Leaves Gilding Flakes.
Stencil Feathers are from Crafters Workshop/Hero Arts.
Added a small stitched circle from MFT with a simple sentiment.
Finished with some gold cotton.

Darnell is again with us as our August Guest so please
pop over to Our Blog and see what we have all
created for your inspiration.
This certainly is a fun challenge - the sky is the limit
with the word 'Shine' especially as foiling is all the rage
at present. I don't have anything in that line hence
the reason I went with my trusty sticky flakes.
Hope to see you there.
Thanks for dropping in this week.

  1. Those gilding flakes look fantastic on the feathers, Ina. The whole design of your card is wonderful. Now I need to get that gold paste and some Inka Gold but I think I'll pass on the flakes. I can see it all over the place.
