It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday Post for
Just Us Girls - Photo Week

Vicki is Hosting and chosen this gorgeous bright photo
for our Inspiration.
What I made isn't what I had originally planned
but that's how it goes sometimes.
I was going to focus on those squares in the background
till my card went in a totally new direction.
I decided to concentrate on the lovely orange daisies instead.
I will start at the back with the embossed Kaisercraft Leaf
then added the black backing which was the shaving cream
technique using Tim's Black Soot reinker and a snippet of white
from a SU punch.
My flower head was cut several times from the
CUTplorations die - Trendy Spring Blooms
adding a few MS leaves.
The centre of the flower is flower soft.
This was backed with black and added some yellow cotton.
The Best Wishes die is from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Pop over and see what our April Guest Karren
and the Jugheads created and come join us in the Gallery.
Hope to see yours there.

  2. What a cheerful card this is, SS. I love your bg layers and how your card took it's own direction to help you create this art. That orange flower is a perfect focal image. Perfect interpretation of the photo.

  6. So many wonderful details to look at on your lovely card, Ina. I especially love what I can see of the shaving cream panel. It a great tribute to the vases in the photo, or the pictures, whichever.
