It's CAS Mix Up Challenge Time

Hi and Welcome!
It's a new month and the new challenge over at
CAS Mix Up is up and running.
I always find myself itching to try their
Monthly Mix and really excited to once more
play with my neglected gelatos.
Here is my first card
PS I was so eager to play with them
I even have anther one in the making
First of all my Mix is
Gelatos (of course) Stamping, Magicals and Die Cutting.
I wanted to do something out of the ordinary with
my Gelatos so starting with a washed background
with Magicals adding shaved bits of different
Gelato colours heating to melt
allowing them to bubble up for depth.

Here is a close up.

I added the smallest bits
of Stampendous Aged Copper Embossing Enamel
heating from underneath to also melt.
Added a little more interest by adding
some lines in the background.
I then cut out my MFT peek a boo die
and popped it in front.
Added the lovely Gina Maine floral flourish
smooched with the same gelatos and the
middle piece to match the background.
To finish I added my sentiment from
Happy Little Stampers.

Hope you liked my take on the Gelatos/Crayon Challenge.
I sure had fun.
Thanks for dropping in.

  6. Awesome look, great colors and wonderful texture. I don't have any of the gelatos so I had no idea what they would even look like before and after being used.

  8. This reminds me of enamel work, Ina. I did that a long, long time ago and don't remember much except for dropping the pieces on and firing them to melt them. It makes a wonderful textural background.
