Hi and Welcome.
The cards I have made for today's post are costly
You see quite some time ago
Bobby (this weeks Host)
asked us for our thoughts on Alcohol Inks.
so a BIG THANK YOU
to you Bobby for picking this as it was
something I didn't own and I have had
great joy and fun experimenting with these
fascinating addictive little bottles.
I played and played with them and in the end
I didn't know which pieces I wanted to use and how.
I landed up with 2 here.
ThE one above is pretty cas using lots of
different AI's on Yupo Paper and just cut on an angle
matting part of the back with
SU card stock in Hello Honey
The sentiment and inking is also SU.
The one below - I didn't know if I liked or not.
Again I used a variety of colours on Yupo Paper
die cutting my Perky Poppy from Memory Box
and framing it. Added a Gina K sentiment
cut from a Kaisercraft Die.
Adhered to basic white card stock.
I know we will have so many fascinating creations
in our Gallery at Just Us Girls this week.
Do go over and check out what our
June Guest Talented Hannelie and
the Team made for your inspiration.
Hope to see yours there.
PS I will be at our yearly Craft Show
(it's a few hours away by bus/train/car)
mingling among the crowds looking
and of course purchasing some new goodies
when this post goes live.
I had a ball last year staying for 3 days
but sadly it's just me this year and only for a day.
Thanks for dropping in.

So glad you finally got some alcohol inks....they are right up your alley with your love of backgrounds. I remember last year when you went to the craft show. It was with Cheryl, wasn't it? Hope you are having fun. Your cards are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI have loved playing with alcohol inks for many years and it truly is addicting. Your pieces here are gorgeous and I really love the one you're not sure about...it's bright and the colors you brought together are perfect. Your craft show trip sounds wonderful...wish I were going with you. Have fun, SS.
ReplyDeleteAren't they fun to play with! Both results are quite fabulous too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards and alcohol ink backgrounds. I enjoy using them too but have not done many for a long time. I also used them for the Polished Stone technique.
ReplyDeleteGlorious colours on the first card and the angle of the die cut looks great. Your card lets the alcohol inks be the star....I love the second card Ina...great colours and the line poppy die looks fabulous against the wonderful alcohol inked background....You are not sure if you like it...I love it!!! You are clearly loving your alcohol inks Ina, unique and absolutely beautiful x
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration. With all the new products out now, I rarely go back to my alcohol inks, but I too had my Yupo stage! Love the results that the alcohol inks give on the Yupo - and these two beauties are no exception!
ReplyDeleteI have 6 bottles now of ink and now with these stunning cards I think I have to get some gold! WOW! You really did well with these backgrounds. Hope you enjoyed the Craft Show and got lots of goodies!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these AI panels turned out great! I just purchased some myself and can't wait to give it a try! Sorry you only have a day this time, but I hope you have a great time anyway!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I didn't scare you off and that you enjoyed playing with the inks, Ina. Both of your panels are gorgeous and you've finished them into outstanding cards.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful alcohol inks cards Ina! You are going to love playing more with your new inks! They are the most bright and fascinating colours. Just remember to wear gloves! :) I love the design of both cards! xx
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had such a fun time playing with your designs here and I really love how your cards turned out! Thanks for sharing! ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful creations! I love your ink combinations with the addition of the gold, the metallics are so cool!
ReplyDeleteIna Fascinating designs, love them both but the first one is one that now I need to CASe. So eye catching.
ReplyDeleteI love your alcohol backgrounds, Ina! Such beautiful rich colours! I must drag mine out again soon!
