Hi and Welcome to today's post.
It's for the current Tic Tac Toe Challenge at
Retro Rubber where we get to play with stamps
older than a year.
For my Tic Tac Toe I chose the Middle Line
Masking Birthday Flowers.
It's funny how your mind works.
I was happily stamping/cutting away yesterday
making my card for this challenge and ready to
photograph it and when I woke up this morning
I realized I had used the same Spellbinder dies
on the last challenge I made for Retro Rubber!
I had better not do that next time.
I thought of making another one wondering if
the Designers would think this girl only has 2 Dies.
Since time is of the essence I had to go with it.
Sorry it is so similar to my last one.
The stamp I used is another retired SU set
called Avant Garden which
I have finally used for the first time.
I cut out a mask for the flower and then inked
in 3 different colours from the Altenew
Red Cosmos set. The leaves were inked with
Memento Olive Grove and Pistachio.
Sentiment in Memento Luxe Northern Pine.
This was then cut with a SB circle die
and attached to the lacy circle die.
I backed that with a Cuttlebug folder
and corner rounded it.
Adhered to green card stock adding some ribbon
to match the flowers and on the white card base to finish.
Thanks so much for dropping in.
So so beautiful Ina, love the gorgeous colours in your bouquet!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this, my friend. I have that stamp set too, and of course had forgotten about it. Not that I have a lot of stamps or anything...lol. Your embossed background is perfect and I really like your colors. I think I better pin this one.....well done!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, love the feathery embossed background and the way you framed your lovely and colorful bouquet.

The embossed background and scalloped die go so well with the lovely flowers, Ina.
ReplyDeleteWow Ina, your card is gorgeous! Love how you've added the sentiment to the center of that pretty floral image! The texture in the background makes for a subtle and elegant look! So happy that you've played along with tic-tac-toe Retro Rubber challenge during my GDT spot!! HUGS
ReplyDeleteThe dry embossing looks fabulous and so do those beautiful flowers and leaves. Great masking and stamping and particularly love the dies....LOL x

ReplyDeleteHugs, Tammy
This is really pretty, Ina. As to using the same die - go for it. I think it's great if you get a lot of mileage from something and it looks different when you use it with different colours and accessories. Avant Garden is a great set for masking and it stylish as well. I love the way you've rounded some of the corners - it adds a nice twist. Thanks for joining us again at Retro Rubber Challenge.
ReplyDeleteSo many things to love on this pretty, feminine card, Ina! Gorgeous coloured bouquet, with that lovely EF.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, love the layout and colors. Thanks for sharing with Retro Rubber!
