What's the 'Word' at Just Us Girls

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday post for
Just Us Girls
Our Host this week is Nancy
and has chosen Sympathy for our Word Week.
It's one that pulls at our hearstrings - but also
gives comfort to the recipient.

As it is a new Month we have a
New Guest Designer. Linda Snodgrass from
 https://linscraftcorner-linda.blogspot.com
Welcome Linda. So glad you are joining us and
looking forward to seeing your creations at JUGS this month.
***
I started my card with inking up the
SU Stippled Blossoms floral images in
Memento Angel Pink and Rhubarb Stalk
and fussy cutting them. Went on to the leaves
with Memento New Sprout.
For the background I added a butterfly
from SU Nature's Walk
and some script from
Happy Little Stampers Thinking of You
in SU Tip Top Taupe
cutting that out with a stitched die.
Sentiment is heat embossed from the same stamp set.
Popped my floral display after adding a touch of WOS
to the top flower and some Liquid Pearls to the centres.
Randomly dropped a few glossy accents to the script.
Finished by attaching to Tip Top Taupe card base.

Pop over and see how our Guest Designer Linda
and the Team chose to use our Word
then join us in the Gallery.
You could be our Chic of the Week and
may be chosen as a future Guest.

Thanks for popping in.
Love reading your comments!

  3. Beautiful sympathy card, Ina. Your blossoms are absolutely lovely. As I mentioned to Nancy, I tend to shy away from making these types of cards because I never feel I get it 'right', be that my selection of images, or palette or sentiment. This was a challenge for me, but glad I stayed the course, realizing that it's not so much about 'the card' but the compassion and love that goes into creating it...
