STAMPlorations Things with Wings Part 3
Here is what I made for your pleasure.
In my mailbox a few days ago was the
CUTplorations Perched Bird Die
(Thanks Shery)
so of course I had to try it out.
I rummaged through my bits box and found this
colourful piece made from Alcohol Inks and Photo Paper.
I cut out the bird die and then
did something I had never done before -
embossed with ARTplorations Ethnic Organic One stencil
It's very hard to see in the photo as it is very soft
and I thought adding dimension to take the stark white away.
That wasn't quite enough so landed up
adding some stenciled splats in the similar colours as my bird.
These were Tim's Distress Ripe Persimmon
Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio.
This was popped and attached to coloured card base.
My simple sentiment is from STAMPlorations Art Marks

Again I used the Perched Bird
I thought it would look stately on top of a
STAMPlorations Feathery Stamp
It even comes with matching dies which
I didn't need to use this time.
I started by heat embossing the feather with
Ranger Potting Soil adding colours from some
new shakers from Lindy's Magical's
I did land up die cutting the feather
so I could mask my background for the
ARTplorations Weaving Stencil
also with Magical's.
I die cut my Magical coloured bird and cut the branch
so I could pop her on top of the feather.
I sponged 'her' with a stamp from
STAMPlorations Scribbly Splattery Grunge
and again on her back with a darker ink.
Also inked around the edges.
A touch of Nuvo Glitter Gloss was added for her eye.
I finished with some splatters and heat embossed sentiment
from the Feathery Stamp Set. Adhered to SU card stock.
