This Makes Me 'Smile'

I so love the 'Theme' for our latest challenge over at Cut It Up

My sister loved sunflowers so every tme I see them
I think of her and 'Smile'.
Hence the reason for today's die cuts and sentiment.

I love usng corrugated cardboard so that was
the perfect backdrop (swiped with white gesso)
tearing the top and bottom for my
multi die cut popped sunflower
in shades of yellow/orange from Tim's Oxide's
and some shimmer from Nuvo Solor Flare.
Added twine to the back and green leaves
cut from the same set.
I embossed an old CB leaf folder with white card stock
adding background texture
and finished with a fussy cut 'smile' from STAMPlorations
onto white card base.
Head over and see what thoughts came to mind
for the Team's 'Smile' creations
and come join in with what makes you 'smile'
to our Gallery.
Hope to see you there.

  2. This is lovely, Ina! This card has so much wonderful texture, with the the embossed background, corrugated cardboard (which I love!) and that fibrous twine. A beautiful card that will make anyone smile. Thanks so much for having me as a guest designer on Cut It Up this week.
