Just Us Girls are Back!

Yes it's January and the Just Us Girls are Back
refreshed after our Christmas Break ready for
A New Year of Challenges.
Hope you enjoyed the Holiday Festivities.

We have two Talented Guest Designer's this month.
Welcome to Cindy Major and Janet Ribet.
Lovely to have you join us this month.

Sue is our First Host and it is WORD WEEK
and chose something I know we all have plenty of ---
LEFTOVERS! No not the food kind -
all those bits we sometimes have still on our
work space or tucked away for those
'I know I will use this one day'
Mine is a 'Bit Box' and I  rummage through it
quite regularly. I did so for my first challenge of the year
and have used the other half of my background piece
on my card here.
It was a little hard to get a decent photo. Sorry!

The coloured background is simply smooched with
Finnebair Art Alchemy Metallic Paints on water colour paper.
They were leftover paints on my work bench
that just couldn't go to waste.
I added a soft stenciling and a
sprinkle of glitter while wet on the side.
Added some pearls ribbon and an IO word die.
The background that I adhered to my card base is
stenciled with Nuvo Roasted Almond Mousse
and a new one from Sanna Lippert Designs
called ARTplorations Fairy-Tale-Forest

I saw a card from my good friend Loll Thompson
that I based my card on. Thanks for the inspiration Loll.

Hope you can come play with us this week
and add your card to Our Gallery
In doing so you could be our first
Chic of the Week for 2019
and be our Guest Designer in March.
Of course you will have seen what my Team Mates
created with their leftover bits haven't you?
Thanks for popping in.

  7. I can see the shimmer on the background, Ina, and am enthralled with the top layer. It's the rustic looks I like, even if that's not what you intended.
