I Picked These For You...

Vicki is Hosting our Word Week at Just Us Girls
and chose FRUIT.

Some time ago I was browsing with my daughter
in a bed store and came across a pack of napkins
with the above pears and of course I thought of
Vicki's FRUIT Challenge.
I peeled off the layers behind the fruit
and scrunched it up to create some texture.
I then fussy cut out extra pears
touched up with rusty brown matte wax
around the edges and popped to the napkin.
String added down the side.
Framed in blue to match the flowers
then an embossed back (a little hard to see)
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations.
Finished with attaching to white square card base.
Head over and check out what fruit our Guest Rosemary
and the Team chose to use on their cards.
Hope to see yours in our Gallery.

  1. Ina, this is a great card taken using the napkin technique. It looks like a hand painted still life. Very nice card!

  7. Napkin art used to be quite the thing and you just may bring it back, Ina. Those pears are beautiful and you built a great card around them.

  8. Super pretty card. I, too, remember when napkin art was all the rage. You have used the technique to perfection!
