Spotlighting at Just Us Girls

I'm hosting Just Us Girls Word Week and
chose a something I bet you haven't done for quite some time.
the SPOTLIGHT Technique.

I had so many ideas running through my head but
in the end I went with what I thought was
a reverse spotlight going with the feature
as a background.
I inked up two images from
with thebackground from a
shaving cream piece from my bits box
and the top one with white c/s.
I got carried away and thought I would go all out
and make it a shaker card.
Remind me not to do one again in a hurry.
Bits go everywhere ...
Added tape to background and
managed to line the top fairly closely.
Finished with the sentiment from
and adhere to black base.
I did another one very similar to this
which went live a few days ago Here
Head over and check out the
Spotlighting that our Guest Rosemary
and the Team had fun with then I hope
you will go back in time and create
your spotlight card to add to our gallery.
Thank you for visiting and leaving
your kind comments.

  2. Thanks for helping us all get out this technique that is still a fun one! I think your design is spotlight in front or behind depending on how you look at it! Thanks Ina!

  4. Your shaker card is so pretty Ina!! I LOVE the image and the shaving cream background. It's such a cool way to add colour, although a bit messy. :) Good for you making a shaker. I have only made a few shaker cards over the years ... they are always more work than I think they will be! :) xx

  6. This was a fun 'word' for the week, Ina, and pulled us all into doing a great technique. I love that you did the reverse, and then made it a shaker. Great job!
