Hello Craft Friends -
It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Hosting is Bobby
with an all time favourite - Water Colouring but with a little twist.
You need to use an Acrylic Block.
It may not look like I have used a block for my Water Colouring
but it was a big one and I wanted to fill the page
with all sorts of colours

to depict a glowing sunny sky for my Hot Air Balloons.
I used several TH Distress Inks for my background - wetting
my acrylic block and inking my card stock.
I repeated it several times to get the overall background.
Touched it up with a bit of white speckle stenciling.

TH Black Soot in my trusty stamp positioner making sure
of a good outline. These stamps were a gift from a friend
and are from an unknown source.

I love those beautiful rich colours Ina. The black stamping fits so well to make it a super card.
Beautiful card and thanks for the reminder of using acrylic blocks for making a fabulous looking watercolor background. I have not done that in ages.
That's a fabulous bg! I love it when you never know what's going to turn up on your craft table with those inks. Perfect bg for those balloons! Great card, SS.
Those balloons look magnificent on that gorgeous background!
Wow, love this Ina! Your balloons against that gorgeous background really pop!!!
I never thought of repeat stamping, Ina, but your results are fabulous. Stamping the balloons with Distress Ink gave a softer feel to the card that you wouldn't get with another black ink.
Such a stunning background and love the technique. The pop of black looks fabulous against it x
Your background is amazing and I love those vintage hot air balloons! Beautiful card!
LOVE how you have done such a large stamped background. I would not have thought of that!!! But then I don't think of a lot of things that you do. Ha ha!!!! Your colors are fantastic, well done!
Beautiful sky background--love this!
