Nature's Mixed Media

It's the first Friday of March (already)
and time for our New AG Mixed Media Challenge at

Once again I had fun creating my project for your pleasure.
The cuttings behind it are crotons cut from my garden and
thought I would put them in a pot and hopefully take root
and add more colour to my garden.
It wasn't till I wanted to photograph them that
they came in as a perfect backkdrop.
My Cricut came in handy to cut my pillow box
from soft dp, inking the edges and stamping my florals

more stmping from Tim's Ledger Script, Faded Type
and Wildflowers
(I cut two boxes just in case)

Put together and add an inked stenciled strip

Moving on -
inking the florals in bright distress inks and glaze,
another strip and torn inked and stamped cs
to place behind my flower and cheesecloth.
Added some prills to both pieces.
STAMPlorations sentiment to my card.
Also added some finishing touches to the pillow with
wire, cheesecloth and a popped inked number for interest.

and a few close ups...

That's it for another month from me - now
head over to Our Blog to be inspired by what our Team
created this month.
Look forward to seeing your MM creation in our Gallery.

On a sad note
We wish our Team Mate Jo all the best
as she bids us farewell for now.
Her talents will be missed by us all.

A personal note!
I have so enjoyed the pleasure of being a
part of the Team with you Jo and
hope the future hold much happiness for you.

Just Us Girls Die Week...

It's  a New Month of Challenges at Just Us Girls
and we start off with our Die Week and
a New Guest Designer -
Welcome Milla.
You can go a few ways here going all green for
the Irish St Patricks Day (traditional) or
the Luck of the Irish or any way you please
as I did as long as you use a die.

I started with DO smooched background
in twisted citron, peeled paint and
rustic wilderness.
Inked up leaves (as above) from Kaisercraft and
STAMPlorations Beautiful You.
Die cuts are Sizzix Thinlits from Lisa Jones.
Die cut sentiment is from 49&Market.
Added LOTS of splatters to the die cut background
and adhered to white card base.
Head over and see what is in store for you from
our Guest Milla
and the Talented Team.
