A Simple Thank You.

Our New Cut It Up Theme for the end of the month is
Thankful, Grateful, Blessed.

We have had quite a few social functions at the Village
where I live and a lot of work has gone behind the scenes
so a Thank You card was more to what I needed and
went in that direction.
Going with the lovely metallic paper I cut out
one tag and a small die punching a hole
to create another tag, inking the edges
and adding my Thanks so much sentiment.
Flowers were die cut three times inking the edges
and adding a pearl to the centre.
The background is randomly stamped in grey
to add interest.
Finished with tying variegated cotton to the tags
and attached to white card base.

Talented Team Mates created and
join us with your card to our Gallery.

Just Hi!

It's our Case a DT Week at Just Us Girls
'cause there are Five Thursday's this month.
The Design Team love it when this comes around as we get to
do our 'thing' and you get to CASE one of our creations.
Just don't forget to let us know who's card inspired yours
and add to our Gallery.
Let the Fun begin!

I saw This card on Pinterest and was drawn to
the die being used as a stencil and adding texture (my thing).
I found a scrap piece in my bits box which was coloured
using the shaving cream technique
and die cut as my feature,
adding the other two smaller dies in white.
Die cute the sentiments from MFT
inked with VersaFine Clare Verdant
adding splatters with TH crushed olive.
Adhered to matching card base.
Pop over and check out what my
Talented Team Mates created and
we all look forward to seeing who's card
caught your eye to CASE.

PS Photo was taken on my patio with the
Pony Club paddock in the background.
We added pool fencing so we could look out and
watch the horses, wallabies and birdlife
at our leasure.

Life is Good!

I'm Host this week at Just Us Girls
for our Stencil Challenge.

I had made this card weeks ago but was unhappy with the
main element I had added so it sat around and in two minds
whether to just throw it out or find something else
which I did. Still not completely happy
I decided to go with it.
The stencilled background is
 again that sand texture paste
using distress ink for colour once it was dry.
Added some roughly broken up bark
and tiny art stones.
I removed what I had adhered earlier,
replaced with stamped die cuts popped
and some tied twine.
The big multi cut sentiment is inked with the same colour
as the stencil work from CUTplorations.
As this is Gerda's last week with us -
a Big Thank You for sharing your talent with us.
Check out Gerda's last card and
the creative stencil work from my Team Mates.
This is always a popular challenge so
I am looking forward to checking our Gallery out.
See you there.

Discards from Nature!

What's our Theme for our New  Cut It Up Challenge
ADD EMBELLISHMENTS.

Because I like to do a bit of Mixed Media
I tend to pick bits of 'stuff ' that has been
as the heading says - discarded by nature.
The bark is off a tree that is outside my patio
as is the twigs - blown down by wind.
I thought I would try and see if I could cut my bottle
from it and worked perfectly. Just had to be careful
it didn't fall apart. Sealed it with some old crackle glaze.
I backed it with cardboard.
My background is a cover plate die
from ARTplorations.
I then die cut a circle and added the other side
of the sealed bark behind it.
The hardest part was attaching the bits of bark
and getting the bottle glued down.
Added some more bark to the bottle as a shelf.
Certainly different embellishments eh!
Die cut the Fig 3 from AALL&Create
and attached two frames.
Adhered to white card base.

from our fabulous Designer Team and

In the Mood for Coffee!

I am in the mood for coffee aJust Us Girls
after seeing the Fabulous Fun Mood Board that
our Host - Carol M chose for us.

When I saw this Mood Board some time ago
I knew what I was going to make
as I had recently bought some itty bitty beverage dies.
This was fun to make - just a little fiddly.
I die cut lots of 'coffee' items in a few different colours,
added a large MFT circle die and inked with Tim's stencil
then a couple of cut out circle dies.
Added my coffee embellishments with one 'frothy' topped cup
which really is sand texture paste.
I stencilled the card base lightly as it needed a little something.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations.
There is an amazing variety of inspiration from
our Talented Guest Gerda and Team Mates
for you to check out and lots to choose from
that Fabulous Mood Board.
Head off and create yours to add to our Gallery.
See you there.

My Eyes are on You!

It's looking kinda SPOOKY at Just Us Girls
because our Host Sue chose HALLOWEEN
for our Word Week Challenge.

Lucky for me I had this STAMPloration Monster
I inked up and coloured.
Halloween celebrations are getting bigger here
in Oz but no scary critters live at my house -
hence why this card took an age to create.
After endless visits to Pinterest a few ideas came to mind.
You can't see the background clearly but I embossed it twice,
covered it with Lindy's Magical's and shine.
Die cut the tree, coloured and added crackle paste.
Added the moon and 'that google eyed monster'.
Die cut the big B - more crackle paste
and inked over it in grey.
Finished with adding all the eyes and
adhered to black card base.
Phew! now that's done I need to
get me some spooky craft items for next time.
There's certainly some scarey creations
from our Guest Greta and the Team so
head over and check them out.
The Gallery is going to be fun to check out this week.
Will yours be there?

Die Cut Day at Cut It Up!

Hello and Welcome to my post for the
and our prompt is
Use More Than One Die

My inspiration came from a left over die cut
that was sitting on my desk.
I love using kraft card stock as a base.
The flower dies were a gift and cut multiple times
from w/c paper colourd with
Paper Mill Lavender Pigment Powder and
Cosmic Shimmer Frosted Heather Mica P/Powder.
Leaves are die cut from Lisa Jones Thinlits
with SU Mossy Meadow DP.
Cheesecloth, Wax Nylon Thread,
Scattered Pearls including the flower centre.
Sentiment from STAMPlorations Leafy.
Distressed the edges and attached to Kraft C/S.
Check out what multiple dies were used by the Team
and join us with yours.

Be Unique - Be Strong

Welcome to my post with my October project for

It's always fun getting a little inky, using products in my stash
and adding layers and fun sentiments.
I was going to use a canvas but what I wanted to make
didn't fit either size so went with watercolour paper
adhered to cardboard backing for strength.
It all began with my AB Studio stencil
adding sand grit texture paste. When dry I sponged with
Tim's Hickory Smoke. Then coloured with Crackling Campfire
and some splatters
Die cut and inked up for my first layer.
then dulled the colour with Hero Arts Unicorn pigment ink
and adding some splatters. Deciding to only use two.
With the leftover ink I die cut a frame for my second layer,
smooching, stamping, more splatters
and inking the edges.
oops! forgot to take photo of the stamping
My main feature came in handy as it was
a 'spare' left over from another make.
It is Tim's leaf die coloured with an abundance of
Lindy's Magical's, sprays and powders.
Adding another element with a favourite of mine -
inked cheesecloth.
Die cuts and frame were popped,
finishing with inking the main background
and smooched sentiments from
AALL&Create.

Mixed Media can be daunting but
it is a lot of fun so I urge you to just
have a go and play around with whatever you have
and see what results you achieve.
You may surprise yourself .

Hope to see your efforts in our Gallery.
Go check out what our Guest Majda and the Team
created for inspiration in our own Mixed Media Style.
