Happy Birthday!

It's time for our New Challenge at
Cut It Up with the Theme -
Add a Sentiment.

The background sure is a fun technique.
A little messy but the result is always spectacular.
Find a deep edged stencil and add bright powders to the
debossed side Spray lightly with water and carefully close
making sure your card front is faced down
to get the detail, close gently and run through your machine.

Showing the detail.

I used Lindy's Magicals -
Cowabunga Copper, Bratwurst Brown and
Nuvo Golden Sparkler.
The big Happy Birthday die was cut with
gold paper and a tiny shadow behind in white.
Adhered to white card base.
Pop over and see what my Design Team Mates created
and hope to see your SENTIMENT  card in our Gallery.

Sending this card to

Mine is Happy Birthday.

Another Birthday Card.

There's nothing better than spending a bit of time
in my 'playstation' on a cold drizzly day.
Here's what evolved!

There are a few challenges I will send this off to.
This is my second card for Addicted to Stamps and More

A favourite stamp I like to use for a CAS card is
Rubbernecker Watercolor Poppies #719.
This time round I went in a different direction.
Instead of heat embossing the outline  and then
water colouring I inked the solid image with
Tim's Oxide Spiced Marmalade and added a
shake of Lindy's Cuckoo Clock Cardinal
lightly misting the stamp and placing it
onto Canson Cold Pressed W/C paper
leaving it for a minute to penetrate.
I then stamped the outline with
Versafine Clair Tulip Red.
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping
heat embossed in black.
Die cut and adhered to coloured card stock.
Finishing by attaching to card base.

Thanks for visiting. Love reading your comments.

Got out my Doodled Flowers Stamp Set from
Happy Little Stampers, heat embossing with
Nuvo Gold Enchantment.

Die cut a leaf flourish and coloured with
Nuvo Green Parade.
Fussy cut the flowers and attached to background
embossed with Darice Henna.
Happy Die is from Heidi Swapp,
birthday stamp from above set.
Added some Nuvo Blue Lagoon Dew Drops
to the main flower.
Attached to coloured card base.

A 'CAS' Thinking of You card

Today's post is for
Addicted to Stamps and More
and our new Challenge is

Once more I have inked up a fairly new stamp of mine -
Woodware Going to Seed.
I saw This Card over on Pinterest and decided to Case It.
I cut out a Spellbinder die to use as a mask and inked
inside with Versafine Clair Cheerful and Summertime.
Stamped over it with my Seed Stamp with the Fallen Leaves
(those ink pads ink up so well)
and inking the edges. Added some score lines
and Nuvo Shimmer to the bigger images.
Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.
Attached to white card base.
Pretty CAS but colourful.

Hope you pop over and see what the Team have created
and come join in our Challenge this week.
Thanks for dropping in -

What lies 'Under the Sea'

We have the most beautiful photo at
Addicted to Stamps and More for this weeks Challenge.

I couldn't go past the sea shell covered in pearls.
As you can see that is where my inspiration came from.

Lots of smooching for my background,
stamping some fish netting, adding grit texture paste,
ink splatting, fussing cutting my coloured sea shells
and popping them. Added lots of glitter, pearls
and gems. Finished with an appropriate sentiment.

Pop over and see how the Team were inspired
and come add yours to the Gallery.
Thanks for popping in.

It's 'Black Magic'

Hello and Welcome to today's post for
This will be my last posting as a Designer here
as new doors have opened for me and
it's in a different direction.
I will still be card making - just not as many
as I normally do.
Sorry for the poor quality of this photo.
You know how hard it is with metallic paper.

This card was made quite some time ago
and never got around to blogging it -
so here is my attempt at the
Black Ice Technique.
I had this sticky backed metallic paper
and decided to try it out.
You can find the processHere.
While heat embossing it I noticed
that the edges were curling so
I continued with it and liked the result.
Adhered it to grey card stock.
My rose stamp is from Penny Black called Temptation.
I bunched up my black ribbon
adding a Starform Sticker to finish.
Pop over and see what my Team Mates created for our
Challenge.
Look forward to seeing you in our Gallery.
Thanks so much for your lovely encouraging comments.
Also a BIG THANK YOU to Kylie for giving me the
opportunity to be part of this Team.

Till next time Cherrio from

It's a Holiday card for?

It's a Holiday Themed Challenge over at
and I chose a very unusual one for my card.
It's for St Patrick's Day on Saturday 17th.
Not the traditional Four Leaf Clover
or Pot of Gold card.
I found the stamp I used among my friends stash
had horse shoes and for me that brings Good Luck
 BUT
they have to be the right way up and they were -
can't have that luck fall out!
so my card was born.
Now to start from the back - this was sprayed with
green magicals (sorry don't know the colour)
and framed in white.
I then smooched my background for the stamp
from the same bottle then heat embossed in black.
This was cut from a Spellbinder die and popped.
Finished with some green gemstones.
Couldn't find a place for a sentiment so
decided to add an Irish Blessing from Google on the inside.

That's my post for today but don't forget to
pop over and see what Holiday Themed cards
my Team Mates have made for your inspiration.
I am sure you will find a holiday that could
celebrate by making something for this challenge.
Hope so!
Till next time Cherrio from

Just 'Hello'

It's everyone's Favourite Anything Goes Challenge at
Addicted to Stamps and More
Here's my take.
and a close up of the shiny dragonfly
I went CAS here and if you look closely at the
ornate dragonfly from Fancy That you will see
I have cut it out from  a scrap piece of glossy paper
which was inked up with Brusho's and cling wrapped.
I chose where to cut it as I wanted to show of the
wings and tail in different bright colours.
My background has a very light smooching.
Popped up my frame which was cut from
MFT Peek a Boo die. Added the dragonfly
and finished with a sentiment from
STAMPlorations Feathers 2.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates
have created and come join us.
Hope to see you in our Gallery.

Thanks for dropping in.
Love reading your kind comments.

It's simply a 'Deer'

Hey there Crafty Ones - today post is for
the new Challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More
and I couldn't be happier when I saw the beautiful mood board
for our Photo Inspiration Challenge.
You will know what caught my eye as
you will have seen me using this gorgeous deer from
a few times now and what got me excited also was
the amazing ribbon I used which came all the way from Scotland
with my Christmas card - how perfect.
This was a simple card to make using black card stock and
gold paper to frame my deer.
I simply smotheredthe black card with Versamark
and heat embossed in gold.
Added some Inka Gold splatters,
that beautiful ribbon and some
Starform strips down either side.
My Merry Christmas sentiment was also
heat embossed and from Gina K Designs.
Yay! my first Christmas card for 2018.

I love looking to see what others pick out
for Photo Inspiration Challenges and
the Team have created a gorgeous variety
for you to oooh and aaah over so
go check them all out Here
and come join us.
Love to see you in our Gallery!
Thanks for dropping in.
