Mixed Media Project for Random Arts

Hello and Welcome.
It's my turn to showcase what I have made
for the latest Mood Board Challenge at Random Arts

and here is the Amazing Mood Board
Check out the Blog Here for details and
how you can win 1 of 3 vouchers to the Store
by entering a project - anything you please
Canvas, Journal Page, Scrapbook Layout or Card
As you can see I went with the florals.
I started my project with a 5inch x 7inch canvas
sealing it with Gesso. After that was dry I
added texture with Tim Holtz Distress Grit Paste
with my AB Studio Stencil
I also added some Dreamweaver Crackle Paste
then on to some colours.
and the composition.
Here I applied the Little Birdie Paste to two
bamboo sticks from our Bunnings Store
and on I go to
placing the frame, some cheesecloth and those sticks.
Here I added waxes to the frame, a little heart and the stick ends.
Also playing around with some of the flowers I would use.
Continuing on - adding the little heart to the centre of the frame
and the placement of the flowers.
They are from Little Birdie
49andMarket and Kaisercraft
The tiny flowers are from
Tim Holtz Heirloom Roses.
Finishing off with a scattering of pearls.

I have used a multitude of inks/sprays etc overall.
The background is waxed with Finnabair Peacock/Vintage Gold
as are some of the flowers.
They also have Tim Holtz Distress Glitter and inside the frame.
Other items used are
Lindy's Caribbean Blue and Tiffany Lou Blue Sprays
Distress Oxide Spray in Broken China
Nuvo Shimmer Powder - Blue Blitz
Finnabair Mermaid Sparks Acrylic Paint.
Here are some close ups

All inks/sprays/glitter/waxes/flowers/frame and resin heart
are available at the Random Arts Store -
a locally owned store
with great Customer Service and Prices.

I'll be back later in the month with another project
Hope you enjoyed reading how my project came about.
Love to read your thoughts!
Till next time -
