SMILE!

What's the Theme this time round at Cut It Up ???

LOL/ That's Funny

The stencil I used was bought years ago
at a craft show and I thought it was sooo cute!
You have  a smile on your face don't you?
I used white texture paste mixed with
Lindy's Alpine Ice Rose through the stencil
and while wet sprinkled with
Rainbow Lites glitter (Celebrations of Australia)
My also cute die was cut three times with the top
pink same as card base.
Of course I had to add some splatters to finish it off.
You will want to check out my Team Mates
fun side to see what they created for your inspiration
then you will head off and have fun too and
add yours to our Gallery won't you?
Thanks for dropping in

The Beauty of a Butterfly

It's the first Friday of the Month and our
Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge is Live!

There's LOTS and LOTS going on here so let's get started with...
a 5x7inch canvas gesso-ed, background coloured with
salvage patina and
AALL&Create stencils using metallic white texture paste
which look a little silvery.

Adding some stamping and texture paste,
inking the edges.

The top butterfly is from dp and the other two
had embossing glaze, distress stain added to brown card stock.
Realized the bottom right butterfly was the wrong one.
Edges have random crackle paste and
inked with spiced marmalade.
Added rusty brown wax to the stencilling and the edges.
Die cut a couple of numbers, adding lots of washi tapes
to the butterfly background, die cut circles and a few gears.

A few tiny flowers added for a bit more colour
and matched the washi tape.
Liquid pearls to the centres.
The butterfly looked a little lack lustre so
sprinked it with tumbled glass distress glitter
adding a centre piece for more dimension.

A few random close ups

And there you have my Mixed Media Project for September.
It was nice to have a bit more spare time to create
something a bit more involved.

We have Annie as our Guest this month
so head over and check out
what Mixed Media Annie and the Team created
for your inspiration and join in with yours to our Gallery.

THANKS!

It's  our first Challenge for the Month at  Just Us Girls
and it's DIE Week - Hosted by Vicki
As we do each month we start with a New Guest
Welcome to Jaydee.
Vicki has gone with Anything Goes
so the gallery will be full of an amazing array of
  DIE CUT CREATIONS.

I can't take credit for this card as I saw this card
on Pinterest and loved the simplicity of it
and case-d it.
It was simple to create apart from the
tiny tiny bits of the THANKS die
which was fiddly filling in the white and gold ones.
I do love to play with Tim's Wildflowers and just added
a centre bit to the main flower.
The stencil background is Woodgrain from Couture Creations
using some metallic paper.
Head over and see the marvellous makes from
Jaydee and the Gang and be sure to
add yours to the Gallery.

A Simple HELLO!

It's Stencil Week at Just Us Girls

I made this background some time ago.
While I had this AALL&Create stencil inked
with LIndy's Magical's
I reversed it and used the remaining ink to
create the background.
Added some die cuts in bold bright colours,
some torn washi tape and a simple
STAMPlorations sentiment to complete.
Head over and see the last fabulous wow cards from
our August Guest Julie
and Talented Team.
You will be impressed and hope you
then add yours to our Gallery.
I BIG THANK YOU Julie for
sharing your fabulous cards with us this month.

It's Anything Goes!

Time to play at the New Challenge at
Cut it Up and it's the popular
ANYTHING GOES!

It was our monthly Ladies who Lunch outing
and we went to a cafe attached to the
 most fabulous Plant Nursery.
Off course we all came home with  a 'few plants'
My eyes feasted on the gorgeous pots of
pretty soft coloured daisies -
hense that is where I got my inspiration from.
Another piece from my bits box was used for those daisies.
Die cut twice using white as a shadow.
Flicked some splatters.
Added some circle dies and the middle one
was run through my crimper.
Some flower soft and glossy accents to the centres
and finished with a simple sentiment.
The Design Team have created an abundance of creations
for your inspiration and we look forward to
yours in our Gallery.

Know your ABC!

The Lovely Lisa has a super Mood Board Pic
for us this week as our Host at Just Us Girls
and you can guess were I took my inspirtion from.
The slate on the chair is a so very old school item
every child had one - back in the day...

I cut out several alphabet letters and numbers
with different dies randomly placed.
Big die cut frame for the slate and found a colour
for the slate itself that matched the photo.
Added some texture paste to the frame for effect.
and popped.
Adhered to kraft card base and that's it.
Our talented Guest Julie and the Team
have had fun with this board so head over
and check them out then go and do the same
and add it to our Gallery.
Looking forward to seeing what caught your eye!

My Summer Petals...

Over at Sunday Stamps Blog for their current challenge
with their gorgeous Mood Board colours
and that sweet daisy that the bee is loving also.

I couldn't resist creating a simple card
with the featured beautiful daisy
and at least three of those colours underneath.
Using my favourite Cracked Walls1 stencil
from AALL&Create with
Brusho's orange, lemon and leaf green
for the background.
My daisies are coloured with
Lindy's Salt Water Taffy,
ColourArte English Lavender and
ColourBlast Deep Water
with a touch of crackle paste.
Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers
(Aussie Brand)
Die cut is Tim's also covered in Crackle Paste
and popped.
The centre of the flowers have Art Stones.
Adhered to retired SU card stock.
Thanks for visiting and leaving such kind comments.

How Old???

We are into our Word Week at Just Us Girls
and Hosting is Elizabeth choosing
BIRTHDAY!
so our Gallery will be overflowing for sure.

Here's what I had a whole lot of fun creating -

Going with something a bit out of the ordinary
using stamps from STAMPlorations -
A Snarky Birthday to You created by
Talented Becca Cruger for the heat embossed sentiment
and balloons with Tim's Distress Inks and
highlighted with Lindy's Magical's for extra colour.
The fun stampings are from
Deepti Malik's Balloons and Banners
framed with my Arched Dies and
coloured card stock on to white base.

Sentiment reads -
I'm not making
any jokes about
your AGE
because
genuinely feel
bad about how
old you are

Head over and check out how
our Guest Julie and the Team
chose to use BIRTHDAY on their projects.

Happy Birthday!

It's time for our New Challenge at
Cut It Up with the Theme -
Add a Sentiment.

The background sure is a fun technique.
A little messy but the result is always spectacular.
Find a deep edged stencil and add bright powders to the
debossed side Spray lightly with water and carefully close
making sure your card front is faced down
to get the detail, close gently and run through your machine.

Showing the detail.

I used Lindy's Magicals -
Cowabunga Copper, Bratwurst Brown and
Nuvo Golden Sparkler.
The big Happy Birthday die was cut with
gold paper and a tiny shadow behind in white.
Adhered to white card base.
Pop over and see what my Design Team Mates created
and hope to see your SENTIMENT  card in our Gallery.

Sending this card to

Mine is Happy Birthday.

Addicted to Stamps & More

with the three colours on the right.

Thanks for dropping in

Big Hugs!

Welcome to a New Month of Challenges at
First up is Elizabeth as Host with our Die Challenge
and asking for FLORALS.
Easy eh! as we all have a multitude of flower dies.
I'm excited to give a Big Welcome to
Julie Beech as our August Guest.
You are in for a treat.

How good is it when you find leftovers
in your bits box and a card comes together nicely!
Both colours came from it and the plain background
matched nicely from my stash.
Die cut the frames, popping the middle piece.
The centre die is an old one of Tim's.
Flowers were die cut and layered.
Sentiment is a simple one.
Added a teeny bit of crochet cotton to the stems
finishing with attaching to white card base.
Go on over and check out our Gallery to see what florals
our Talented Guest Julie and Team created.
I'm sure I will see lots of lovelies there this week.
Thanks for visiting

It's Mixed Media Time at Creative Artiste!

Hello and Welcome to my post for

Craft time was short this last month and I love that
products from AALL&Create give me the chance to
whip up somethng quickly with so little time.
Hence what I made here did the trick.
What I had started out to do didn't eventuate
so this is my revised piece.
My background is randomly inked with stamps from
their Petal Path set.
I then die cut a circle, cut in half,
coloured with Lindy's Salt Water Taffy.
Die cut a strip of w/c paper, stamping some script words.
Inked the smaller flower  with Tim's Kitsch Flamingo
and fussy cut the head for dimension.
I also did that with the main flower inking the edges
with a touch of black.
My vase is Tim's also coloured with SWT.
I cut out some mesh from my stash in gray
with the vase die but was too much so
placed some small bits for texture.
The Figure 1 and 2 stamps are from the Container Stamp Set.
Finished with black thread to the background
and squiggles around the edge.

Just a couple of close up's of my simple MM make.

Head over and check out the creative MM makes
from our Talented Guest Granne
and Amazing Team Mates inspiration.

Please make sure you use multiple mediums on your entries.
This is a mixed media challenge for cards and projects.
Hope to see yours in our Gallery.

Hello Coffee!

It's the Design Team's Favourite Fun Challenge
at Just Us Girls when there are Five Weeks in a month.
Yes it's our Case a DT Week!
I'm Hosting this time round.

I decided to create my card using
some Kaisercraft DP/scraps.
The background sheet was the start
then using scraps for the TH coffee cup.
Die cut an old CB C as part of the cup itself.
TH Splatters stencil, inked with his Tea Die.
Sentiment - STAMPlorations.
Check out what fun the Design Team had
creating their own Anything Goes card
for you to Case - just remember to tell us
who/whose card you case-d.
Have fun and add yours to our gallery.

Hello Summer!

 Welcome to today's post.
I had a fun time making this card for the
current challenge at AAA Cards

Here is the Game Plan and lowdown Details

I chose to go with the summer colours
and what better way to enjoy summer is with
some cool icy poles, deciding to go green
instead of the usual raspberry lol
My icy poles are coloured with Lindy's Magicals
heat embossed and die cut from
STAMPlorations stamp/die Sweet Cravings.
As with summer the sun (die cut) is shining and you need
cool sunglasses cut with some dp and silver paper.
Some dry wall tape and a strip of paper for interest.
Finished with the perfect STAMPlorations sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by
