Believe in the Magic

It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls
and our New Designer Lisa E has chosen a cutie!

Now you won't find many snowmen in my craft room,
luckily I have a very old Gina K stamp set called
There's Snow One Like You
and there are two 'snowpeople' too.
I heat embossed them in black, coloured
and fussy cut carefully.
My background is lightly coloured in blue
and added lots of snow.
Die cut a partial circle after stamping
some snowflakes.
Added some Liquid Pearls and glitter
to part of the hats and positioned them.
Finished with a big snowflake with pearl centre,
sentiment, inked edges and
on to white card base.
This was rather fun to play around with.
Check out what our Guests -
Chrissie and Stef created then
scroll down to the Teams makes.
Love to see yours in our Gallery.

Sending my snowpeople over to

Thanks for popping in.
Till next time -

It's Your Day

The first thing I noticed when I saw the
was the beautiful card by my friend Nancy
and I commented to her at the time I would like to
watercolour one of the STAMPlorations In Bloom stamps
that we both have and use Lindy's Magical's too.
Thanks Nancy for being my enabler.
I finally got to make it.
I used the In Bloom Precious Plumerias
with a variety of bright coloured Lindy's Magical's
and Ken Olivers Metallic Metals
after heat embossing in white onto
Canson WC paper.
Wetting my paper I let the fun begin
adding colours till I was happy with the result.
Added some splatters and sentiment from
Inspired by Stamping (no longer in business)
Attached to metallic card base to blend with the
watercolour cream colour.
I have had a blast playing around with different
loose watercolouring. Something I haven't done
with stamped images for ages. Now makes three LOL
My Mix is -
Watercolouring, Magical's, heat embossing,
stamping, splattering.

Thanks for visiting.
Catch you again soon.

Sending Hugs

Having a little fun play time for the
CAS Mix Up Challenge and for the first one of the year
we are to do loose water colouring.
Details Here

I thought I would try something a little different
by die cutting my images with acetate and inking
but was too thick so were then cut
with watercolour paper. While they were still together
I wet the paper and sprinked with Lindy's Magical's
in Alpine Ice Rose, Cathedral Pines Green
and Nuvo Cherry Bomb Shimmer Powder.
After I had taken them out
I sponged through the negative cuts to use as a background,
adding more colour to the die cut flowers as needed.
I then added some Distress Grit Paste through
Tim's Speckles stencil before adding the flowers
in a different order to the front using the
back watercolouring as a shadow.

Here's a close up. I had a hard time getting a clear photo
of the whole card.
Hope this qualifies as loose watercolouring.

Added a sentiment from a CB tag die
and tied a pink cotton bow.
Attached to card base to complete.
My Mix is - loose watercolouring, sponging, stencilling,
die cutting, stamping.
Hoping to make a more traditional
loose water colouring card before the end of this challenge.
I am having so much fun.
Thanks for a fabulous Challenge.

two silver frames on an angle.
topped with some pretty blue and heat embossed silver flowers
and a vellum piece to make three.
A simple blue sentiment, a few pearls and finished by adding
to white card base.

You're Special

Welcome to the First Challenge of 2022 at
Sistah Darlene has asked us to
use the colour BLUE

Of course I love to splosh some colour for my backgrounds
which I have done here using Lindy's Afternoon Delight Denim,
wetting the w/c paper, dropping a tiny bit of powder then
blowing with a spritzer to move  the wet colours for a fun backing.
Love the colours you get with just one little magic pot.
Shame they don't show up like they should in a photo.
Die cut a few wildflowers, inked them with
the leftover puddle and added a few splashes.
Fot extra interest I cut two with blue vellum.
Sentiment from STAMPlorations cut with
JustRite Die and popped.
Finished with pearls and adhered to white card base.
Pop over and see what the Sistah's created
and hope you can add your blue card to our Gallery.

#Update Sending this card over to the
Elements used are
Watercolouring, air blowing colours, die cutting, stamping,
splattering and ombre.

What's our January Theme at Christmas Craft Creations?

Hello and Welcome to 2022 at Christmas Craft Creations
We begin our January Theme Challenge with Stencilling.

I love adding texture to Tim's
Holiday Knit Stencil used here on kraft card base.
Die cut trees and the deer has added crackle glaze.
Thought he needed grounding so added some textured snow
and covered part of his feet as well as
the trees. While wet sprinkled some fine glitter.
Finished with the joy circle sentiment.
A close up -
I have already made a reminder piece
for later in the month so hope you
come back to see what I made.
In the meantime check out the
returning and new designers creations
and join us by adding yours to the Gallery.

Happy New Year to you All.
Hope you are recovering after the festivities
and ready for New Adventures in 2022.
it's the  start of our challenges for the year.

The Details for our Stencil Challenge is Here
and most of you would know I am part of that Team.
I had this card made the same time I did my December make
and decided to hold it off to use for January.
I got out the gorgeous
cut out three squares and framed them.
My background was stenciled with
a favourite of mine - ARTplorations Fairy Tale Forest
inked and adding distress grit paste
lightly then stenciled again darker on another piece of card stock.
This was framed and adhered on top of the first piece.
My flower cuts were framed and popped in different sizes.
Added my sentiment from STAMPlorations Fluttery
Pop over and see what's in store for you
with all the New Challenges Here
then add yours to the Gallery.

As we do each year we take a February Break
and be back in full swing for March.
See you then.

It's time for 'Lemonade'

 Hello and Welcome to 2022.
It's our first Challenge of the year at Just Us Girls
and to get the ball rolling
Nancy chose the word BEVERAGE!
Since it is New Years Day some may have a little
beverage 'hungover'
For me in the height of summer I chose to
cool off with a jug full of delicious home made lemonade.
I found some DP that worked nicely with the
Lawn Fawn Make Lemonade stamp set
for the background. Inked the jug and lemons
with Nuvo shimmer Powders, Tim's Fossilized Amber
and Kitsch Flamingo, adding Nuvo Crystal Glaze
for the sparkling lemonade. The Cosy Coaster Die is
from The Greetery thanks to a friend and popped.
Added a tiny leaf die and sentiment.
Framed and attached to white card base.
The New Year is also full of Exciting News!
As you may know we had a Design Call in December
and we have two Super Talented New Jugheads -

and will be back on January 12th
to kick start our Challenges all over again.

Have a Merry and Safe Christmas.

A Snowy Christmas Scene

We are making a Scene this month at

My card certainly doesn't depict what
Christmas looks like here - in fact
I will be spending it in the
Tropics of North Queensland with family
(which I am really excited about)
relaxing by the pool and eating an
abundance of fresh seafood, salads,
yummy deserts of I don't know what yet and
off course a few glasses of my favourite wine.
Not to mention my granddaughter's
amazing gingerbread cookies
that us girls are going to be making.
Okay! on to this months challenge -
I went for a snowy scene using an old stamp
from Inspired by Stamping
(no longer available)
heat embossing and added some
Cool Diamonds Glitter for the snow.
Still a little hard to see here!

Adhered that to grey frame
and on to an embossed Christmas background
with a few gems attached.
Added a Christmas Greeting, corner rounded
one side and attached to same grey card stock as the frame.
I'm sure you will see wonderful Scenic Christmas Cards
over at Our Blog to inspire you.
We would love to see yours there.
I do have another one made for our Reminder
so till then - Cherrio from

with Elizabeth Crafts Cool Diamonds Glitter.
This was die cut and added to my
snowflake background with Texture Paste.
Heat embossed my sentiment and holly,
adding some Nuvo Drops to the centres.
Adhered to grey card stock and on to
white card base.
Pop over and see what The Girls have been up to.

The Merriest Christmas!

It's time for the last Anything Goes Challenge of the Year at
and being December - what else to make but
A Mixed Media Christmas Creation.

The start of my project was to add
gesso and some old crackle paste that
didn't crack much on to torn corrugated cardboard.
Moving on to the tag part I cut the white one
slightly smaller adding text, a bit of blue smooching
and distressing the edges.
Here are the colours from the Lindy's Magicals for my leaves
 with leftovers for the deer.
Placing Tim's Holiday Green dies, some dry wall tape
and snow to the bottom.
and some finishing touches -
red cotton bow, red kindy glitz on the berries,
waxing around the edges and
on the branches.

One last look!

That's it for this years Mixed Media Makes.
Now head over and see what my Talented Teamies made
for your inspiration as we would love to
see your creative creations over at our Anything Goes
using multiple mediums.
Let your imagination run riot
and get those fingers messy -
the inks and things washes off easy.
I have had so much fun creating as part of the Team
and look forward to doing it all over again in the New Year.
A Big Thank You to Andree and my Mixed Media Mates
for a wonderful creative year together.

#Note The Creative Artiste Girls are taking a break in January
but will be back in full swing for our February Challenge.

# Update - sending this over to the The Mixed Media Lovers
for their  Challenge #8
Have yourselves a Merry Christmas!
See you then!
