Let's Go for Three!

It seems an age since we had our last challenge at

 Creative Artiste Mixed Media

maybe because October was a long month.

Lucky for me as I spent most of it

over the other side of Australia

celebrating my granddaughter's wedding,

catching up with family time and 

with long time friends.

Then I came back to catch up on all sorts of things.

One -  hoping Mo and Jo came back with me.

Yay they did!

Wasn't sure what I was gong to create

and while browsing through my box of

supplies of sorts, the neglected ones mainly from

AALL&Create making it easy-ish for me.

I began with three canvas ATC's 

adding gesso.

Distress inks, sprays and spritz were

out to show off some bold colours.

I was finally happy with the result - 

Continuing on with some stamping/stenciling

Stencil - Scrap FX

AALL&Create - 1261, 1263, 978, 991.

Finishng with posca pen splatters, inked edges

and TH Small Talk.

The middle stamp says Let's Go

(a little hard to read)

Acorns are something you don't see lying around

here in Australia so I am thankful to kind friends

for the gifted DIES I have used on this card.

I die cut a few leaves from a scrap in my bits box

as well as my acorns.

Also cut my MB perpetual double frame

and lightly sprayed it with

Frayed Burlap Distress Spritz.

Added my arrangemnt and a

simple thankful sentiment.

Background is TH alterations embossed

onto kraft c/s and adhered to kraft base.

Since we are still in October  it's 

the changing of seasons.

We are into Spring here but over the other side it's

all about Fall Foliage.

so timely that I got out Tim's leaf fragments

and went to town with a bunch of colours

with distress inks and

 Lindy's Magical's for shimmer.

Adhered them to black c/s, adding

posca splatters in gold and white.

die cut three time for lift

and finished by adhering to coloured card base.

Flowers Bloom!

Here we are nearing the end of October Yikes!

That means it is Stencil Week at Just Us Girls

Our Host this week is Bobby

and we look forward to seeing your play time

Here's mine!

I love stencils that does all the work for me

and this one from AALL&Create is the case here.

I used two parts by adding

part circles for extra interest.

Coloured with Tim's distress inks.

Inked my favourite Visible Image - Creative Chaos

and again for the flower head which was coloured with

distress inks and Lindy's Magical's 

(of course) and popped. Sentiment is from STAMPlorations.

Framed in navy onto white card base.

Hey there!

 Our Host this week at Just Us Girls is Carol M

and has picked the most delightful Mood Board

 for us to play with - and I did just that!

Yes those cute Ghosts came out and I found them

sneaking around some colourful leaves!

I started with some simple embossed background

then went about creating bright colours on w/c paper.

After finding suitable smallish leaves it was

down to cutting them and arranging,

then those ghosts came to join in.

Went with a different sentiment away from halloween

with a favourite from Paper Smooches (again)

Adhered to green card base to complete.

What's the WORD at Just Us Girls?

Welcome to our WORD challenge at

 Just Us Girls with Host Carol Mc

wanting us to create something with a 'moving' motion.

Anything that moves that is!

I changed my mind from my first thought

and went with a rocker card.

One I haven't done for an 'age'

and went all feminine using some

old Spellbinders and Marianne Design dies.

Some reverse embossing behind my elegant Lady

and card base with dp to the front.

Die cut a bunch of flowers, leaves

and added liquid pearls to the centres.

Here's to Coffee!

Hello and Welcome to my project for

 Creative Artiste Mixed Media

A quick run down on how my Mixed Media piece was created.

The background was done a little while ago for CA

 but I went in a different direction and never got finished

till now and I needed to create something quickly.

This was coloured with distress ink, stenciled with texture paste

and randomly stamped with varies grungy stamps.

Cut out some words from an old book. Scrunched it,

 added a die cut tag smooched and inked.

tore and inked edges of coffee ephemera

then put it together adding more inkings

and sentiment.

with a few close ups!

My talented team mates have also been busy

creating fun Mixed Media projects

for your inspiration so we would

love to see one of yours in our Gallery.

We are delighted to welcome our October Guest

   Carrie Sheridan sharing her talents with us.

I had fun creating my ghosty card thanks to

co-worker Lisa who sent those ghosts flying my way.

Started with orange card stock adding texture to Tim's script stencil.

Die cut a tag with dp and added my ghosts

with a black shadow.

Got out a very old Cuttlebug alphabet set for the

layered BOO.

Thought it need something so added some

purple splatters with a posca pen.

Attached to white card base to complete.

Once more I delved into my bits box for my background.

I love Tim's Wild Flowers and used the stencil

first with distress inks then added more with

metallic texture paste.

Finishing with a black die cut wild flower.

As you can see my eye focused on the coffee cup

just went with different colours.

Here's the BIG VIEW!

Thought it a perfect time to get out Tim's coffee mug

and play using with bright colours.

The background piece is some DP from my stash.

Behind that is card stock.

Covered it with vellum then added my pretty cup

and some florals.

The sentiment fits perfectly and is from STAMPlorations.

Adhered to white card base to complete.

It's BOLD!

It's my turn to host this week at Just Us Girls

and it is our WORD WEEK!

I chose BOLD!

As you can see I went with BOLD COLOURS!

An easy card using an

 alcohol inked sheet cut into triangles from MFT

attached to card stock for stability onto dark card base.

Sentiment is from Paper Smooches

and finished with some bright sequins.

Mixed Media for Creative Artiste

It's  Creative Artiste Mixed Media Time

and here is my project for September.

It has been a hectic month with family and 

not too much craft time - and is ongoing

as this goes live I will be at the 

tip of Australia with family celebrating

my grandson's wedding.

Hence something simple and a few photos

to show you a little bit of how my tag came together.

Time was running out so didn't take photos of

 the other embellishments as I added them - sorry!

 

Started off with cardboard and

added some lovely dp from my stash.

That came about because I had the flower

in a drawer from years back.

Adding some stencil work from AB Studio

with Liquitex paste and Lindy's 

Have a Scone Heather shaker.

then lace on the side

adding a row of pearls,

die cut a tiny frame, popping the centre

after die cutting some flowers with pearl centres.

Found some scrap bits and used them for

the leaves in the background.

Inked the seam binding and ribbon adding it behind

the flower that has now found a home.

Tied ribbon to top of tag and that completes

this month's Mixed Media Make.
