Simply 'With Love'

Hello and Welcome!
It's been rather cool here and my little wood fire
has been burning to keep me warm inside.
What better way to spend a little more time
playing in my craft room.

I mentioned in an earlier post I was hoping to
make another card for the Gelato/Crayon Challenge
at CAS Mix Up before I heading north for a few weeks.
I did just that!
There has been sooooooooooo many challenges
using butterflies they seem to be flying
all around my craft room.
The one I used here wasn't what
I was going to use but the spare one I had left over
from creating for another challenge was too big.
I started my background with a stamp from
Katzelkraft which doesn't have a name on it
using Prima Marketing ink in Bare.
I then cut out a frame and filled it with gelatos
in Metallic Mint and Gold Champaigne
rubbing it in with my finger.
I then cut out a few flowers from
Tim's Wild Flower Dies in the same colours
and adding a soft peachy colour.
Attached them to the background and
popped my frame.
My butterfly was cut from a Cheery Lynn
die from gold metallic paper
and the SB sentiment the same.

My Mix is Gelatos, Die Cutting and
Lucky for me I stamped my background. Phew!

That's me for today.
Thanks for dropping in.

It's CAS Mix Up Challenge Time

Hi and Welcome!
It's a new month and the new challenge over at
CAS Mix Up is up and running.
I always find myself itching to try their
Monthly Mix and really excited to once more
play with my neglected gelatos.
Here is my first card
PS I was so eager to play with them
I even have anther one in the making
First of all my Mix is
Gelatos (of course) Stamping, Magicals and Die Cutting.
I wanted to do something out of the ordinary with
my Gelatos so starting with a washed background
with Magicals adding shaved bits of different
Gelato colours heating to melt
allowing them to bubble up for depth.

Here is a close up.

I added the smallest bits
of Stampendous Aged Copper Embossing Enamel
heating from underneath to also melt.
Added a little more interest by adding
some lines in the background.
I then cut out my MFT peek a boo die
and popped it in front.
Added the lovely Gina Maine floral flourish
smooched with the same gelatos and the
middle piece to match the background.
To finish I added my sentiment from
Happy Little Stampers.

Hope you liked my take on the Gelatos/Crayon Challenge.
I sure had fun.
Thanks for dropping in.

CAS Mix Up Reminder

It's the Middle of the Month and Reminder Time
for the current challenge at CAS Mix Up Challenge.
Here is my card as December's Guest Designer.

You can find the Details Here
My Mix is *Stamping
*Embossing *Smooching
*Stenciling *Die cutting
I had a lot of fun with this card.
Thought I would try something a little different
here and got out my neglected Gelatos.
Unfortunately they don't have the colours
on them but have used just three adding a touch of Inka Gold.
Showing the shimmer from the Gelatos
I simply scribbled them onto water colour paper and then
smooched with a water pen till I got the result I liked.
I then got out my Lavinia Stamp and heat embossed in black.
Touched up the middle with the green gelato and a tiny bit of
Inka Gold. Added some tiny circles from
Dutch Doobadoo Pop Art stencil with Tim's Black Soot
and added a few circles for contrast with a white uniball pen.
Sentiment is from
and heat embossed.
This was then cut from a stitched die from MFT and popped.

If you haven't had a chance to pop over and see what's
already posted - please do and hope you come join in
this month's fun challenge.
Thanks so much for dropping in.
A Big Thanks to Bonnie & Loll for their kind invitation
to be their Guest for December.

My first posting as Guest Designer at Shopping our Stash

I was so excited and thrilled to be invited to be
Guest Designer for February over at  Shopping our Stash
Their challenge this week is Winter Blues BUT
don't make a Winter card. Pop over to the SOS link above
to get all the details.
This wasn't too hard for me as I am
sweltering through a heat waive
and anything cooling is fine by me.

I went with a clean and simple style getting out my
neglected gelatos in navy and swiping across watercolour paper
then adding layers of white acrylic paint.
I attached 2 cut out bull rushes from Craft Emotions
  framed and popped it.
The sentiment is from STAMPlorations Noteworthy.
Isn't is a great sentiment and one we should live by?
To finish it off I added more splats of white acrylic paint.
If you haven't been over to The SOS Blog be sure to head that way
and see what the Design Team have created for you.
Such a fun challenge. Hope to see you there.

Thanks for coming by today.
