A Magical 'Oldie'

It's time to get out those old but faithful dies
we 'needed' an age ago to use this time round at our

With Christmas in mind (yes it is fast approching)
I got out an old CUTplorations Christmas Tree die
(I like to use it yearly)
Making a reasonably CAS card I inked up
a background for my tree with Lindy's Magical's
adhering it on the side for effect then added my
Christmas sentiments cut from gold paper.
Punched out a snowflake and dotted
some SU gems to complete.
Pop over and check out what old dies
my Team Mates 'discovered' again to create their cards with
and join in with yours to our Gallery.

Cut it Up Fun Fold...

for end of the month is to make a
FUN FOLD Creation.

Mine isn't a fancy fold type but was fun to make -
and not at all what I had planned.
The fold part was but it all changed when I went looking
for some DP to use as a background but
it went as my feature point instead.

The DP  I used with the front feature folded.

Using the DP with the cuts from left to right.

Started with the arch dies with SU Mossy Meadow
and the backing
then Hello Honey and the DP
I added die cuts to blend in.
The word die cuts were a bonus as part of the
Kaisercraft Paradiso and cut out by hand.
Attached to the back to complete.
The Design Team have been very creative
with their choice of fun folds so head over
and check them all out and join in with
your fun fold make to our Gallery.

Because I Care!

We are sharing our favourite colour at
Cut It Up Challenge for our New Theme.
Purple never really shows up well in photographs
which is a shame as this card looks stunning IRL.

Unfortunately this card was made for a
long time craft friend who recently lost her Mum.
I used metallic card stock, inking my die cut flowers
in a few shades of purple. Die cut,
adding purple c/s behind the flowers
and again the metallic card stock as base.
The sentiment is so appropriate.
Head over to our Blog and check out what colour the
Design Team showcased for your pleasure
then be inspired and add yours to this challenge.

A Simple Thank You.

Our New Cut It Up Theme for the end of the month is
Thankful, Grateful, Blessed.

We have had quite a few social functions at the Village
where I live and a lot of work has gone behind the scenes
so a Thank You card was more to what I needed and
went in that direction.
Going with the lovely metallic paper I cut out
one tag and a small die punching a hole
to create another tag, inking the edges
and adding my Thanks so much sentiment.
Flowers were die cut three times inking the edges
and adding a pearl to the centre.
The background is randomly stamped in grey
to add interest.
Finished with tying variegated cotton to the tags
and attached to white card base.
Pop over and check out what my
Talented Team Mates created and
join us with your card to our Gallery.

Discards from Nature!

What's our Theme for our New  Cut It Up Challenge
ADD EMBELLISHMENTS.

Because I like to do a bit of Mixed Media
I tend to pick bits of 'stuff ' that has been
as the heading says - discarded by nature.
The bark is off a tree that is outside my patio
as is the twigs - blown down by wind.
I thought I would try and see if I could cut my bottle
from it and worked perfectly. Just had to be careful
it didn't fall apart. Sealed it with some old crackle glaze.
I backed it with cardboard.
My background is a cover plate die
from ARTplorations.
I then die cut a circle and added the other side
of the sealed bark behind it.
The hardest part was attaching the bits of bark
and getting the bottle glued down.
Added some more bark to the bottle as a shelf.
Certainly different embellishments eh!
Die cut the Fig 3 from AALL&Create
and attached two frames.
Adhered to white card base.
Pop over and check out all the inspiration makes
from our fabulous Designer Team and

Die Cut Day at Cut It Up!

Hello and Welcome to my post for the
and our prompt is
Use More Than One Die

My inspiration came from a left over die cut
that was sitting on my desk.
I love using kraft card stock as a base.
The flower dies were a gift and cut multiple times
from w/c paper colourd with
Paper Mill Lavender Pigment Powder and
Cosmic Shimmer Frosted Heather Mica P/Powder.
Leaves are die cut from Lisa Jones Thinlits
with SU Mossy Meadow DP.
Cheesecloth, Wax Nylon Thread,
Scattered Pearls including the flower centre.
Sentiment from STAMPlorations Leafy.
Distressed the edges and attached to Kraft C/S.
Check out what multiple dies were used by the Team
and join us with yours.

There is BEAUTY!

It's Cut It Up Challenge time and
It's Looking Like Fall
just not here in Oz -
as I type this it is our first day of Spring!
but I do love getting to play with Tim's gorgeous leaves
which is mainly pulled out to cut around this time.
I even snuck in a wee mushroom.

Lots of smoochy background using Lindy's Magical's
as there was on Tim's leaves adding a touch of script
though very hard to see.
Mushroom has inked edges and popped.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations.
Added sissel to the background.
Adhered to white base.
Check out The Team's Fall creations
made for your pleasure and come join in
with yours to our Gallery.

SMILE!

What's the Theme this time round at Cut It Up ???

LOL/ That's Funny

The stencil I used was bought years ago
at a craft show and I thought it was sooo cute!
You have  a smile on your face don't you?
I used white texture paste mixed with
Lindy's Alpine Ice Rose through the stencil
and while wet sprinkled with
Rainbow Lites glitter (Celebrations of Australia)
My also cute die was cut three times with the top
pink same as card base.
Of course I had to add some splatters to finish it off.
You will want to check out my Team Mates
fun side to see what they created for your inspiration
then you will head off and have fun too and
add yours to our Gallery won't you?
Thanks for dropping in

It's Anything Goes!

Time to play at the New Challenge at
Cut it Up and it's the popular
ANYTHING GOES!

It was our monthly Ladies who Lunch outing
and we went to a cafe attached to the
 most fabulous Plant Nursery.
Off course we all came home with  a 'few plants'
My eyes feasted on the gorgeous pots of
pretty soft coloured daisies -
hense that is where I got my inspiration from.
Another piece from my bits box was used for those daisies.
Die cut twice using white as a shadow.
Flicked some splatters.
Added some circle dies and the middle one
was run through my crimper.
Some flower soft and glossy accents to the centres
and finished with a simple sentiment.
The Design Team have created an abundance of creations
for your inspiration and we look forward to
yours in our Gallery.

Happy Birthday!

It's time for our New Challenge at
Cut It Up with the Theme -
Add a Sentiment.

The background sure is a fun technique.
A little messy but the result is always spectacular.
Find a deep edged stencil and add bright powders to the
debossed side Spray lightly with water and carefully close
making sure your card front is faced down
to get the detail, close gently and run through your machine.

Showing the detail.

I used Lindy's Magicals -
Cowabunga Copper, Bratwurst Brown and
Nuvo Golden Sparkler.
The big Happy Birthday die was cut with
gold paper and a tiny shadow behind in white.
Adhered to white card base.
Pop over and see what my Design Team Mates created
and hope to see your SENTIMENT  card in our Gallery.

Sending this card to

Mine is Happy Birthday.

Addicted to Stamps & More

with the three colours on the right.

Thanks for dropping in

Thinking of You!

Time for our new Cut It Up Challenge
and looking for Monochromatic makes.

I started with cutting my tag and smooching it with
Turquoise Brushos. Die cut  my CUTplorations
Flutter Zen 1 with the same for the bottom
butterfly die cut and white for the top.
Inked a piece of scrunched up seam binding
and attached to the tag.
As it looked a little flat I got out my
very old Iridescent Medium diluted with a touch of water
and sprayed each piece. Smooched the card stock
with the mop up from a wet one giving it a soft effect.
Added some blue glitter to the middle of the butterfly.
Sentiment is from Crafts4U (an Aussie Company)
Check out how the Team chose to create their
Monochromatic creations and join in
with yours to our Gallery.

'tis The Season!

It's our Christmas in July Challenge at  Cut It Up

I cased THIS card I saw on Pinterest.
As I was on the same DT as the maker
Cornelia Wenokor I had the die and
a similar stamp.
I used CUTplorations Christmas Tree Die
a Spellbinder circle die and
inked the STAMPlorations 'this the Season stamp
in black on to kraft paper with
Versafine Clair Nocturne and heat embossed.
Inked up Tim's Festive Berries
also heat embossed.
Added some washi tape to the bottom and
finished with a red dew drop.

Something 'Beautiful'

going with a fun theme
'CRITTERS'

Here's a more detailed photo of the dragonfly.

I had one part of Tim's dragonfly tail left over on my desk and
worked perfectly with our 'critters' challenge coming up.
I tried to pick out similar colours for my bug using
Lindy's Autumn Leaves Magical's,
Tim's Antique Bronze Distress Stain
and Stampendous Aged Copper Embossing Enamel.
Even die cut out one from plain coloured paper
and attached it to the bottom layer.
Of course there are 'splatters'
Die cut a simple panel to rest the popped dragonfly
adding some Liquid Pearls to the centre.
Finished with sentiment from STAMPlorations.
Attached to white base.
Head over and check out the critters that
my Team Mates used to fill our blog with.
Sure to be a fun filled critter gallery this time round.

Celebrate with CAKE!

Our New Challenge over at Cut it Up requires anything
 starting  with C
and I have just the card loaded up wth colour
and a whole lot of calories LOL

Of course  the CAKE has to have chocolate (C)
and then there is raspberry sponge and frosting.
Even the bunny got into the action.
I stamped TH Ground Espresso, Picked Raspberry
and Fossilized Amber with a touch of Nuvo Shimmer Powders
on the die cut cake from CUTplorations Sweet Cravings
Yellow stickles was added for the frosting.
Cut out various strips of colourful dp
with the striped one with glitter.
Circle dies from MFT popped as is the cake.
Added tiny splatter to the white circle and also the card base.
Sentiments are from the same set as the cake.
This was a whole lot of fun.
Head over and see how the Design Team used
the letter C on their creations.
Hope you get the chance to play  with us

It's 'Anything but a CARD'

The heading says it all -
We are creating Anything but a CARD
for our latest challenge over at

I found this 4in/4in canvas I though would be
a nice choice for this challenge.
It has splatters of bright coloured acrylic paints
touches of liquid pearls and a hint of glitter.
Adhered some cheesecloth, cut out some
bold bright flowers to match the background,
and beautiful butterfly inked with
Tim's Crackling Campfire
and a hint of Lindy's Magical's.
Inked the edges
Liquid Pearls were dotted to the centre.
Sentiment is from Tim's Small Talk.
I do love messing around with paints etc
so this was a fun challenge away from
our usual card making challenge.
Hope you like the idea and join in
with what gets you trying something different.
Don't forget to check out our Team's choices
for your inspiration.

The Colours of 'Spring'

Today's post is for the Cut It Up Challenge
and we are thinking of "Spring"

I die cut three floral images from Tim's Wildflowers
in colours I thought represented Spring.
Added some stencilling and stamping
behind each one.
The background framing is from the same
card stock as the flowers.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations
inked and hand torn.
Attached to white card base.
Head over and see how my Team Mates
chose to showcase "Spring"
and come join in with yours to our Gallery.
