Time to 'Layer' it Up at Happy Little Stampers

Can you believe we are half way into the year!
I know I can't.
Our Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers
starts with our Watercolour Challenge.
This month our Anything Goes Option is Layers

Every now and then it is nice to go back to a technique
or something in your stash that is a favourite.
This is what I did here. I got out two that go so well together -
SU Manhattan Flower EF and Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set.
Heat embossed the flowers in white then watercoloured  with
Nuvo Powders and fussy cut, popping up the smaller one .
This was attached to hand cut Manhattan Flower.
To add more layers I added more dry embossing with
Kaisercraft Leaves with paper to blend with the flower.
Corner rounded for effect.
To finish my card I added Diamond Dust to the
 embossed background and front flower
instead of adding a sentiment.
Finished by adhering to my white card base.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates chose to inspire you
and join us in our Gallery this month.

Live - Laugh - Love

Time just seems to be flying by and it is already May!
Our Watercolor Challenge for Happy Little Stampers
is now Live!

I took the easy way out here after finding the above piece
already made up in my bit box and simply attached it to
my optional embossed background gently inked in grey.
Unfortunately I didn't think to add any details to the back
for the future (which is now) so will try and do that
from now on.

Pop over and see what's in store from the
Talented Designers and come join in the fun this month.
Look forward to seeing you there.
Thanks for dropping in. Love reading your thoughts!

Wish Upon a Star

It's April Fool's Day so don't get caught with
all the silly things that happen today.
I'm not here to fool you but to show you my make
for our New Watercolour Challenge over at
It's Anything Goes with the Option
this month of Stars!

I started by doing a galaxy background
with Tim's Oxide Inks, drying each time
till I got a nice night sky.
Cut out on an angle and adhered to
my background of lightly inked stars.
Splashed a Perfect Pearls mix for twinkling stars.
My Wish Big Dies are new ones from
CUTplorations which were inked also
with oxide inks.
Punched a few stars spritzed with PP.
Finished with some Starform strips to the side.
Do you still have a container full of these like I do?
Card base is from Bazzill.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and we'd love to see you join us in our Gallery.

Thanks for popping in

A 'Thank You' with Flowers

It only seems like yesterday that it was Christmas
and now we are 'March' ing on with our third challenge
of the year over at Happy Little Stampers.
The first day of the month means its our
Watercolour Challenge and you are going to
want to play with us this month as our
Option is FLOWERS!
and who doesn't love playing with them?

My first go to was Tim's Wild Flowers.
I recently bought the stencil so that is where I started.
Found this watercolour background piece in my bit box.
I know I would have used up some Lindy's Sprays here
also Nuvo Shimmer powders.
I stenciled with Cadence Champagne Relief Paste
thickly, let dry then added some plaster's tape
and die cut flowers.
Sentiment is from Altenew and finished my card
with some Art Alchemy Waxes and attached to
cream card base.
Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and join us in the Gallery.
Hope to see you there.
Thanks for dropping by -

XOXO For You

Welcome to February at Happy Little Stampers
and first up is our Watercolour Challenge
We are an Anything Goes Challenge and each month
we have an Option to choose if you wish
and this month is
  BLING!
and who doesn't love that!

Once again I had fun with Lindy's Magical Powders
smooching, drying with different colours.
I adhered my popped, corner rounded watercoloured piece
to cream card stock, attached a metallic heart die
and the xoxo (using a mix of Magical's)
Finished with some bling by adhering
purple glitter to the back of some gemstones
and my card is complete.
Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and come join in the glitter this month.
Hope to see you in the Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in

It's a New Year at Happy Little Stampers

Happy New Year! and Welcome.
Hope you had a lovely Christmas and
didn't celebrate too hard bringing in the New Year.

It's our first Challenge of 2020 at Happy Little Stanpers
and of course it starts off with our Watercolour Challenge.
With the New Year we have New Designers joining us
and they are Carole, Swapna and Anna.
A Big Welcome to the Happy Family.

Our Watercolour Challenges are always Anything Goes
but we do have an Option and this month we are looking for
Watercolour Creations using Die Cuts.
We all have an abundance of those, so should be
an easy task for you to join us!
I started by smooching my watercolour background with
Lindy's Magical Shakers in Magnolia Magenta Gold
adding some texture pasted stenciled dots.
I then inked another piece of watercolour paper,
this time with Lindy's Afternoon Delight Denim
and cut out various die cuts - some coloured and
a few in white. While I had a bit of colour left over
I smooched my SB tag on one corner and added
the sentiment from Happy Little Stampers.
Added some splatters for effect then
placed my die cuts and popped die cut sentiment.
Finished with adhering to blue card base.

Have you been over and checked out what my
Team Mates created? Hope you were inspired by
what you saw so you can add yours to our Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in on me.

'tis nearly Christmas Time

It really is 'Nearly' Christmas Time as December is upon us.
It's the first day of Summer here in Australia so
for our Anything Goes Watercolour Challenge at
Happy Little Stampers and our Option being Christmas
I went softly softly with my watercoloured floral card.
Too hot here for the traditional reds and greens.

It's hard to believe but the only item I used to
colour my Large Christmas Flower from STAMPlorations
         is from Lindy's Magical Shaker
in Oom Pah Pah Pink. I heat embossed it in white then
tapped some powder onto my work surface
and spritzed it with water and painted with a water brush.
I lightly smooched the background with
some of the leftovers and added
heat embossed random text.
Die cut a simple Merry Christmas sentiment
and finished by adding some Little Birdie
Texture Embossing Paste and puffed it up.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and join in the festivities by adding yours
to our Gallery this month.
Hope to see you there.
As this is my last post for our
Watercolour Challenge for the year
I would like to wish you all a
Merry Christmas.
See you in the New Year.

Born to be Wild

Hello November and Welcome to
Happy Little Stampers
Time for our Watercolour Challenge

and our Optional Twist is

When I saw this option I knew exactly what stamp set
I was going to use. It's
Happy Little Stampers Born to be Wild
My background is made from
Magical's Sprays (of course)
and the surround circle die of the lion
is also with Lindy's Sprays/Shakers.
I stamped my lion with VersaFine Clair in
Fallen Leaves then heat embossed in clear.
I like the effect I got with the different outline shades.
I cut out a Kaisercraft die that I thought
could look like part of a cage. Again I used
Magical's and used my fingers to cover it.
(I still have coloured fingers a day later)
Needing something more I cut several leaves from
Carta Bella Spring Greenery arranging them
around the lion and 'cage'.
Lucky I have some Glad Press and Seal
that helped me hold all of this in one piece
so I could glue them all down.

I really had a lot of fun getting inky here.
Hop on over and see how my Team Mates
chosen to play this month and
come join us in our Gallery.
 Hope to see you there.

This lion is roaring over to join in the Silhouettes
at Double D Challenge

UPDATE!
Just saw that over at
Mix It Up Challenge their
Anything Goes Current Challenge
optional twist is Watercolouring!
My card above fits perfectly.

A Floral Hello

Hello and Welcome.
Spring has certainly sprung here in Oz
and over at Happy Little Stampers we are going
Botanical for this month's
Anything Goes Watercolour Challenge.

I went with some of Tim's Wildflowers
and for my watercolour effect I
inked them with his Oxide Inks in
Seedless Preserves/Aged Mahogany
Wilted Violet and Blue Print Sketch
sprayed with water then stamped onto photo paper.
Once they were dry I buffed them with a paper towel.
I didn't quite get the washed out look I intended.
I added some white dots with a gel pen to the
centres of some of the flowers.
This was cut with a stitched die.
Added a strip of SU ribbon and a brad
adhered to some SU paper and onto white card base.
The sentiment is from STAMPlorations.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and come join us this month in our Gallery.
Love to see you there.
Thanks for dropping in.

A Simple Tropical Climbing Orchid

Hello and Welcome to October!
It's Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge Day
and we have an awesome Option for you this month.
It's Tropical and what's the perfect flower for the Tropics?
Orchids of course - and that is the way I headed here.

I received the beautiful SU Climbing Orchid stamp set
as part of an early birthday gift - so perfect timing.
The background is stenciled with
Little Birdie Frosty Fizz Embossing/Texture Paste
and when heated puffs up beautifully.
I then started on the orchids with
Wow Blush Embossing Powder and coloured them with
blending Lindy's Clam Bake Beige and Cape Cod Coral
on my glass mat and spraying with water.
These were fussy cut and popped on to a
Memory Box Branch.
The leaves are inked with Tim's Oxide Pealed Paint
and the centres lightly coloured.
Had a bottle of shimmer left over so decided to add
a touch of colour to the background
as I thought it needed a little something.
Sentiment is from the set.
Finished by adhering to coloured grainy card stock.
Pop over to Our Blog to see what the other Designers created
and come join in this month.
Love to see you in the Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in - till next time

What Beauty Lives 'Under the Sea'

Hello and Welcome to today's post for
It's the first of the month so that means it's our
Watercolour Challenge.
Our challenges are always Anything Goes but
we do have a Twist that you are welcome to use.
This month it is Ocean.
It's certainly not the weather for having a dip here in Australia
so I have gone with the beautiful sea horse
that live deep down among the colourful sea bed.

My sea horse is from the AAandCreate #137 stamp set
I bought at a recent craft show.
I heat embossed the sea horse and sentiment in
Deep Water embossing powder from Colour Blast.
The fun then began with using Lindy's Sprays in
Tiffany Lou Blue, Glory of the Sea and
Cowabunga Copper for the sea bed.
Heat embossed some pebbles
with Midas Touch Embossing Glitter
and the sea shell with
Wow Chocolate Caramel Embossing Powder.
Some Impression Obsession Bubbles were heat embossed
coming from the sea horse's mouth.
Added some final touches with Rusty Patina Texture Paste,
Nuvo Mouse in Coastal Surf and Toasted Almond.
Glossy Accents on the sea horses eye.
Cut my ocean scene with a stitched die,
attached to matching card stock and then to  my card base.
It certainly was fun creating this underwater scene.

Hope you get a chance to pop over and see what
my Team Mates created and come join us this month.
Love to see you in our Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in.

Thinking of You

Hello and Welcome to July!
Today's post is for our new Monthly Watercolour Challenge over at

It's always 'Anything Goes' but Fun when you
play with our Monthly Option.
This time round it's 'Wings'
And we ALL have plenty of 'winged things'
so no excuse for not joining us this month.

I continue my obsession with powders
and this time using Nuvo Blue Blitz Shimmer Powder
and added a darker colour with
 Lindy's Afternoon Delight Denim.
I inked my dragonfly with VersaFine Clair Warm Breeze
and decided while the ink was still wet to
add some Deep Water embossing powder from Colour Blast.

A close up of the shimmer!

Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers 'Thinking of You'
This was done on watercolour paper and cut
with a stitched die and adhered to  matching card base.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and join us this month. Love to see you in our Gallery.

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY DAY!

Hello and Welcome to May.
Oh yes we are nearly half way through the year
and isn't it scary how time is just flying by!
You know what that means - it's our
Watercolour Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers
and we are looking for HAPPY  as our
Optional Twist this month.

I made this card a little while ago while playing with
my fascination for Nuvo Shimmer Powders.
I used Cherry Bomb and Green Parade
on water colour paper. I inked randomly
using an acetate sheet to colour in the floral image
I heat embossed my
twice giving it a shadow effect.
Sentiment is from Pink & Maine.
Attached to white card base and I'm done.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and come join us in our Gallery.

What if Nothing Ever Changed?

Today is April Fool's Day but I'm not fooling you
'cause it really is the first of many Challenges each Month
 over at Happy Little Stampers
It is of course our Watercolour Challenge.

Here is what we are looking for this month
if you choose to do our Optional Twist.

My play time was very limited in March
so I rummaged through my 'Bits Box'
to find something watercoloured brightly
and found the piece I used above.
It has a mixture of my favourite products -
Brusho's, Magicals, Nuvo Shimmer Powders
and thrown on was some Art Alchemy Metallic Paints
and good old Inka Gold.
I added some script from Kaisercraft
then carefully tore it in 3 then adhered to
my white card base.
I went looking for a nice butterfly stamp
and found this one - an oldie but goodie from Gina K.
This was heat embossed and then coloured
with some of the above products and fussy cut.
Added a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops.
Before popping it I cut out a few small MB ringlet dies.
Finished with my STAMPlorations sentiment.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and come join us this month in our Gallery.
Love to see you there.
Thanks for dropping in

UPDATE! We have a New Designer joining the Team
and it's the most amazingly talented colouring Artist -
 Gwendolyn Goh
A lot of you will have already seen her talents in Blogland
and I feel so lucky to again be working with her here.
A HUGE Welcome to the Team Gwendolyn.

It's Your Day to Shine.

We're marching in to March already and that means
A New Water Colour challenge over at

Our Optional Twist for March is

I've certainly gone all misty here
playing with my limited Lindy's Sprays.
I sprayed Gecko Green and Witches Potion Purple
with Tim's Mermaid Lagoon Distress Stain
 with water on to acetate
and adding to my watercolour paper.
I then heat embossed my sentiment in white and stars from
STAMPlorations in Memento Eldenberry.
Also flicked some iridescent medium to the background,
cut out with a stitched die and adhered to white card base.

Here's a closer look at the Sentiment.

Pop on over to Our Blog and check out what
my Teammates created and come join us this month.
Love to see you in our Gallery.

Thanks for popping in

Make a Wish

It's a New Month and time for a
New Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers

Here's how I made my card.
I recently got a new Feathery stamp/die set from
STAMPlorations and had to try them out.
First I lightly sprayed my Lindy's Sprays in
Gecko Green and blotted to leave a soft colour.
Heat embossed with green pearl powder on the feathers and
blended the same colour as above.
I inked my watercolour paper with
Lindy's Tiffany Lou Blue and die cut.
To add my metallic effect I added
Stampendous Embossing Enamel in
Aged Copper to the tips.
The one feather was popped.
Added some gold splatters and
Nuvo Copper Penny Drops.
Finished with a MFT die cut sentiment
from the same set.
Adhered to coloured card base.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created.
Hope you get to play with us this month
and see you in our Gallery.

Thanks for dropping in.
