Life is a BEACH!

Hi there and Welcome to today's post for the
CAS Watercolour Challenge to feature Birds

I was looking for something a little different
for my second card for this challenge and remembered
I had a couple of flamingo sets.
I started by inking a craft mat with
Tim's Spun Sugar spritzing with water
and smooching, then the brighter colours of
Evergreen Bough and peacock Feathers.
Stamped the palm tree and sentiment also in the
Evergreen Bough.
The palm trees always have coconuts
so added a few with Gold Liquid Pearls
and a few fell on the ground.
My 'Fashion Conscious'  Flamingo is from
 Inkadankdo's Flamingo fun
inked with Altenew Red Cosmos colours,
heat embossed in white, fussy cut and popped.
Added a touch of colour to match the coconuts
with a scallop die from MFT.

My Mix is Water Colouring, Embossing,
Stamping and Die Cutting.
Hope you like my Fun Flamingo
and to my overseas friends I hope
your weather warms up and you can
get to paddle your feet at the Beach soon.

Thanks for dropping in

We are 'Focusing on Sentiments' for April at STAMPlorations.

Time is just flying by and now April is here!
Hi and Welcome to today's post.
It is all about Focusing on Sentiments over at
STAMPlorations

Checkout all the details Here

I thought the STAMPlorations Large Hellinium
was 'Simply Gorgeous' so used that as part of my card.

To start with the background I inked white card stock
all over with Tim's Peacock Feathers
sprayed it with water then placed my
lifting that to take a bit of colour away
then placing it back to add
Tim's Mermaid Lagoon for a bright effect.
It was slightly damp when I heat embossed the
Large Hellinium (sorry it is out of stock)
with Lawn Fawn White Embossing Powder
and some stuck to the stenciling which
I was kinda happy with the effect.
I then added the heat embossed 'simply' sentiment
cut out my
and heat embossed it also to blend in.
Finished with corner rounding
attaching it to my white card base.

That's it for my part
BUT
there is so much more to see over at

Off course there are prizes to win so
don't forget to leave a comment here
for your chance to be a winner...
and why not create something
with your sentiment as your focal point
and add it to the Gallery.

Thanks for dropping in

It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls

It's our Photo Week and what a Beauty
Maria as Host chose for us.
What caught your eye?
There are so many elements here but
the bicycle is what I saw first
then the pretty flowers.

I love this Cherry Lynn Vintage Bicycle
which was cut from brown card stock -
the same as the base.
My embossed Brick Wall is from Kaisercraft
and inked with TH Frayed Burlap.
To go with the flowers I cut a Memory Box
Woodland Branch  and added a
multitude of coloured flowers with Nuvo Drop centres
and a few leaves from Marianne Designs.
For the Gina K sentiment I cut a MFT circle
and heat embossed in white then
cut a smaller one for the back wheel.

Don't forget to pop over To Our Blog
to see what caught the eye of our
January Guest Cathy and the Team
and come join us this week.
Hope to see you in the Gallery.

Thanks for dropping in.
Love reading your thoughts.

It's Challenge #5 at Season's Greetings

We are already up to Challenge #5 at Season's Greetings
and it is Team Kangaroo's turn to post.
Using the colours above as a guide
I used Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers
and Victorian Velvet for my background smooching.
I simply inked up my mat sprayed lightly with water
and blended with acetate till I got my result.
I then got out my stencil from STAMPlorations
ARTplorations Dots All Over using Acrylic Paint
and sprinkling glitter while still wet.
This was cut with a stitched die and attached to
my card base of white.
The Merry die cut is from Memory Box
and the Christmas is unknown.

Hope you can join us for this fun colour challenge
and check out what my Team Mates have created.
Thanks for dropping by today.

Spread Your Wings and Fly

It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Hosting is
Vicki choosing -

I'm afraid I didn't have a teapot in my collection so
went away from that and choosing the teapot colours
as my background. I found 2 matching coloured scrapbook papers
and cut them out with  a Spellbinder Square die
corner rounding 2 sides of each square.
These were popped onto white card stock that has been
cut with a stitched die.
Now the fun part - my butterfly
I got out various coloured distress inks similar to the
photographed butterfly and smooched them onto
card stock then cut the butterfly from a Kaisercraft die.
This was then heat embossed with clear powder
giving my butterfly a lovely shine.
The sentiment is from Gina K and
finished off with a few pearls.

Thanks for dropping in on my blog today
and hope you will check out what
our March Guest Nance and the Team created
Here and come join us.
You could be chosen as Chic of the Week
and then in the running for our
Guest Designer in May.
Thank you Nance for treating us to
seeing what a talented designer you are.
