Just Us Girls 'Word Week'

Hello and Welcome to our May Challenges for
As we begin our month we start with a
New Guest Designer. Welcome to
Deborah Frings from
Our Host this week is Nancy and chose a
most appropriate word which at this trying time -
we all have them.
I know the Gallery will be full of wonderful
creations supporting all those incredible
essential service people in a variety of ways.

I made my card really simple by using
this free image from https://florafaunaclear.com/
 adding dp embossed with Geometric
by We R Memory Keepers for the background
and die cut a MFT stitched circle.
Cut and punched lots of pretty flowers and leaves
then finished with some bling in the centres.
Pop over and see how Deborah and the Team
chose to say Thank You to a Hero.
Come join us in our Gallery.
Thanks for coming by -

Mixed Up Masking

Time for the new Challenge over at
Mix It Up and this month our
Anything Goes Option is - Masking
So many ways to go about this technique
but I decided to mask either side and go with
showcasing my Mix of Flowers.

Those that frequent my blog know how much I love
to play with my Lindy's Magical's and they do make
amazing backgrounds.

See what I mean!

On to my layers of flowers.
First up I stenciled Tim Holtz Wild Flower
with Distress Crackle Paint in Clear Rock Candy
which didn't impress me much so
inked up one of the flowers with VersaClair Fallen Leaves
and heat embossed clear slightly to the side.
I then smooched more flowers and die cut adding on top.
All three layers are from Tim's Wild Flowers -
stencil, stamps and dies.
Threw on some splatters left over on my mat.
Inked my sentiment from Woodware Gone to Seed
with the Fallen Leaves then ran a pen down both sides
of my masking.
Attached to purple card stock.
(How hard it is to get a good colour photo wise)

After I made this card I had second thoughts about
the masking technique
and made another in the more traditional style.
Again I used Magical's with Twinkling H2O
and Nuvo Drops on my masked flowers which are
STAMPlorations Bloom Doodles
Sentiment is from Bloomful inked in
SU Calypso Coral and Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn.
Lightly smooched background.
I thought the sentiment perfect for this trying time.

That's my Designer's Makes for this month at
DT Badge
Pop over and see how the rest of the Team
chose to inspire you and come join in the fun.
Love to see you in our Gallery this month.
Thanks for dropping by.

A Simple Mixed Media Piece for Creative Artiste

I don't know where the time went this month and
I have been been caught out with making a project for
Creative Artiste
so what I had planned didn't happen.
Hello and Welcome!

I had this piece started some time ago
and has been sitting around waiting for me to finish
so this was a golden opportunity to do so.
Sorry there is no 'how I made this'
just products I used.
Lindy's Magicals
Nuvo Powders/Drops
Dream Weaver Crackle Paste
Which Craft Do You Do Stencil
(Australian Company)
Numerous stamps from
STAMPlorations and That's Crafty
VersaFine Clair Inks

Will be more organized for next month's make.
Till then Cherrio from

Who's waiting for SPRING?

Today's post is for the May Stencil Challenge at
Hello and Welcome.

This was a simple process. I used the
shaving cream technique through the
with SU re-inkers in Mossy Meadow and Calypso Coral,
Once dry I sprayed with a mix of Perfect Pearls.
Attached this to a cardboard back for stability
which by the way is the same size as the stencil.
Scored and inked around the edges
Added Nuvo Crystal Drops to the circles
and finished with one of the
and tied with some lace from my stash.

Live - Laugh - Love

Time just seems to be flying by and it is already May!
Our Watercolor Challenge for Happy Little Stampers
is now Live!

I took the easy way out here after finding the above piece
already made up in my bit box and simply attached it to
my optional embossed background gently inked in grey.
Unfortunately I didn't think to add any details to the back
for the future (which is now) so will try and do that
from now on.

Pop over and see what's in store from the
Talented Designers and come join in the fun this month.
Look forward to seeing you there.
Thanks for dropping in. Love reading your thoughts!

Flowers Abound at Just Us Girls

What a happy colourful photo Maria has chosen
as this weeks Host at Just Us Girls
Hello and Welcome.

I wanted to add a big sunflower like the photo above but
that just didn't happen and my card is nothing like the
lovely photo Maria gave us. Sometimes things don't work out
like you want them too. So after several attempts -
I stamped a bunch of flowers in the colours above
and added a big die cut flower instead.
Added a sentiment and a pretty butterfly.
Framed in pink and onto white card base.
Just not really happy with this one!
Head over and see what sunny creations our
Guest Cornelia and the Team made.
Come join us this week.
Thanks for dropping in

A 'Rusty' Happy Birthday

It's our Colour Week at Just Us Girls
and our Host Bobby has chosen one that
screamed Mixed Media to me.
See what I mean!

I knew cogs had to have a place here and there are plenty.
The background was inked up umteen times with
the colours above. The cogs were also but with so many
different products giving them a very effective result.
Apart from the cogs I added some plaster's tape
to the bottom..
My Happy Birthday is from Happy Little Stampers.
Attached to navy card stock and onto brown base.
I really enjoyed making this and finished with
extremely colourful fingers.

Check out what our Guest Cornelia and the Team created.
I'm looking forward to seeing how you
choose to use these super colours in our Gallery.
You could be our Chic of the Week and in the running for
Guest Designer with us in June.

Will pop this over to the Watercooler Challenge
for their AG with a masculine twist.

Thanks for  dropping in

HELLO - it's Reminder Time

Hello and Welcome to today's Reminder for
STAMPlorations
Check out  the Stencil Challenge Post Here

I have made a pretty floral card as the seasons change
from Winter in some parts and here where I live
Summer is over and the cooler temps of Autumn
are so welcoming.
I started with a smooched background
with Tim's Oxide Inks then again randomly
with Distress Grit Paste which give a nice
rough surface.
While I waited for that to dry I
inked up the frame and sentiment from
then added  some colourful flowers from

Here are the STAMPlorations products I used

'Be Brave' for Bleeding Art

Today is the day I get to show you the rest of my
'First Mixed Media Project' as part of the
New Extended Design Team at Bleeding Art

I decided to try something a little different. We all have loads of
unused cd/dvd's don't we? Why not dolly one up then.
I made this a little while ago and in the meantime my notes
on how I made this have gone missing. Lucky some of the photos
have the products I used which will help.
#Note to self - use a notebook to keep all my DT makes
together till they are blogged.
Here goes!
After covering my dvd with black gesso I stenciled
with texture paste roughing the surface slightly.
then painting with Art Alchemy Metallic Paints in
Golden Moss and Lime Peel.
Adding some some Apple of my Eye heat embossing
and Art Alchemy Waxes in Mint Sparkle and Rich Copper
to  my dvd and torn corrugated cardboard.
Added  some wire, glitter, beads and die cuts
Then to my chipboard dragonfly
After the dragonfly cracked (lol) I started adding
Art Alchemy Waxes in Fire Ruby and Mint Sparkle.
Here's a close up. Isn't it gorgeous!
There is lots of waxing over the dvd and the background die cuts.
Added my appropriate sentiment from STAMPlorations
blended to match and finishing with some ink backed pebbles.

There is sooooooooo much more
Magnificent Mixed Media Makes from
my Junkie Mates so please go over to our  Bleeding Art Blog
and see for yourself.

Off course we would all love to see
your project in our Gallery where
we're not only Mixed Media all of the time
but Anything Goes all of the time.

but wait there's more
There's even something special happening
with this month's Challenge!
With all this self isolation happening this will be
a fun way to get those kiddo's getting
messy and arty! You never know what talent
they inherited from you.

I know this was a long post and I thank you
for hanging around to the end.
Hope you enjoyed my Mixed Media Make.
Till next time -

I'm 'Squarely' Thinking of You

Hello and Welcome to this weeks Challenge at
Just Us Girls where we are all fine
to be 'SQUARE' as that is what our Host Cecile
wants for Trend Week.

I knew I had inked up a square stamp ages ago
and just put it in my Bits Box for 'whenever'
Guess you could say it's that time now.
The floral image is from Imagination Crafts
and heat embossed onto my background.
I liked the way it came out not perfectly covered.
I had the hard part of trying to match the background
with the flourishes as I can't remember what I used.
(Note to self - write on the back what you use
especially if it is leftovers)
After many attempts I think it is close enough.
Sentiment is from the same smooching as the flourishes.
I framed the flower and popped for dimension.
Attached to cream Bazzill card base.

Pop over and see what our Guest Cornelia
and my Team Mates created
and join us in the Gallery this week.
Thanks for dropping in
