With Love!

Sue is Hosting this week at Just Us Girls
and is looking for Hearts!

You can never send too much Love can you?

I hadn't intended my heart to be so "redish' but
the Lindy's Bougainvillea Fuchsia
has a mix of red/pink and purple.
I die cut an old Cuttlebug heart, flowers
and heart heads from the mix.
There is also a white cut out heart in the background
and scored behind that for extra interest.
Die cut a few extra heart stems in white
and a flourish from Fancy That.
Sentiment from STAMPlorations,
a few splatters and tiny pearls to finish.
Head over and see how our Guest Jules
and the Team used their 'Hearts'
perfect for those that create cards for
Valentine's Day coming up -
so come join in with yours to our Gallery.
We would love to see you there.

Sending this over to the  Romantic Challenge #229
Going with Middle Row Down

Thanks for visiting.

Be True to You!

It's our first challenge for the New Year at
we are starting off with
  Something New!
With so many new craft items either bought
or gifted the fun of choosing could be hard.

My Something New is
The stamp I used here bought
late last year after seeing a card
made by our Sistah Annie.
It's Timeless Tulips from Dark Room Door.
Background is inked up with
Tim's Ox inks, stenciling (new) and stamping from
AALL&Create.
Fussy cut the tulips inked, heat embossed
and slightly popped.
Framed and adhered to white card base.

Showing off the whole stamp here -
first time inking with Versafine Clair Nocturne
and heat embossed onto a background
from my bits box.
Added some splatters and a simple sentiment.
Framed and onto black card base.
Head over and see what my sistahs created.
We would love to see your
'Something New' in our Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in

Christmas Snippets

It's our first Challenge for 2023 at Christmas Craft Creations
and one I am sure we all have lots of after
our Christmas card making for last year.
'Snippets'

Here's mine!

All dp used here are leftover bits (snippets).
Die cut five trees, adhered to white cardstock,
framed in red and corner rounded as is the
one background piece. Both adhered to
white and red card base.
Merry die/sentiment is from Her Arts
and finished with a red bird.

After our recent DT call out we have
New Talented Designers joining the fun.
Head over to Our Blog and check out
how creative the Team were with their snippets
and don't forget to leave some kind
welcoming comments for our Newbies.
Looking to see lots of lovely creations.
Will yours be there?
Thanks for popping in

It's Gold! oh and Pink!

I just HAD TO make another card for the
using 'real gold paper' and of course pink.

I got out two dies - Memory Box Loveland Corner
cutting twice (pink and gold)
and CUTplorations Clustered Hearts a few (quite a few) more
as I was going to use them on another card but
didn't work out as planned so scattered a few spares for interest.
The Love Die was a gift.
This was all adhered to gold metallic paper
and on to metallic gold card base.
The Design Team and Newbies
Jules Stef and Marcia so inspired us
with their amazing cards didn't they?
Thanks for visiting.

'Inspire'

Welcome back to a New Year of Challenges at
We start our Challenges off with Color Week
chosen by our Host Lisa K
AND we have a few a few changes coming during the month too.
***
Lisa has made it so easy for us with such lovely shades of blues.

To get back into the swing of things I went with
a favourite of mine - a colourful background of blues
with Lindy's Afternoon Delight Denim and
Tim's Denim Delight on Canson Cold Press WC paper
(which is a very creamy coloured paper)
with his Wildflowers coloured in the same colours.
Added some navy cotton, a simple sentiment
and a blue pearl to the white flower.
Scored the card base to frame the popped florals.
We welcome our January Guest - Jules Pedd
and the Team back again for 2023.
Head over and see how the colours inspired us all.
Hope to see yours in our Gallery.
Thanks for visiting

Wishing You Happiness!

The Talented Designers at Color Hues are back
and have a fabulous colour combination
chosen by Nancy to inspire us.

As you can see my card hasn't the
traditional gold colour BUT  is
Lindy's Grab a Guy Gold.

My pinks are Tim's gorgeous Saltwater Taffy
and Distress Worn Lipstick EP for my
 STAMPlorations Fond Expressions 2 sentiment.
Dies were a gift.
Added some gold thread for interest and
gold flicks from a posca pen.
I couldn't help but add some stenciling
from AALL& Create also.
Inked the edges and adhered to white card base.
Love the fabulous colours Nancy.
Thanks for dropping in and commenting.

Christmas Wishes

Sistah Diane chose the Theme to use
Traditional Christmas Colours of  RED & GREEN
for our last Challenge of the Year at

A simple layout here using the chosen colours
with stitched die cuts, sentiment,
Kaisercraft Berry Vine full of red berries
and finished with twine.

We will be back on the 11th January to
start all over again to create and inspire you.
Look forward to you joining us again in the New Year.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas
and a Safe and Healthy New Year.

Merry! Merry! Merry!

The Theme for our December Challenge at

I only had one lonely gnome stamp but
lucky for me our local craft store had a
special on them recently (and with dies yay)
in plenty of time to create for our last challenge of the year.
I knew the paper I wanted to use here.
It's Boofle with lots of tartan and other gorgeous pages.
My bff brought it back from England
many years ago and use it sparingly.
I inked my gnome with Versafine Clair Nocturne
and heat embossed clear.
Inked again on one of the dp's
and fussy cut his hat, boots and mittens.
His beard is layered lightly with Liquid Pearls.
Added a touch of shimmer with a gel pen
and gloss.
Popped him onto a MFT die cut, added
three Merry dies and a heart to finish.
Head over and see what my Team Mates created.
Look forward to seeing your gnomes in our Gallery.
Thanks for your encouraging and kind comment
throughout the year.
Merry Christmas and as the Scots say
A Guid New Year Tae Yin An Awe
See you in 2023.

PS So looking forward to watching the
Edinburgh Military Tattoo once more.

Merry Christmas!

The December Stencil Challenge over at

You may wonder where the stencil is on my card.
The background is Tim's Speckles and I sprayed
Lindy's Black Orchid Silver through the stencil
on w/c paper and let it dry.

A close up!

I did the same with iridescent medium
and added extras with splatters.
The trees are coloured with the same background colours.
Sentiment is Hero Arts.
Finished with a few punched stars.

That's it for the year.
Hope you have a Merry Christmas
and a Safe Happy New Year.

It's a White Christmas

It's our last challenge of the year at
and I had a lot of fun creating a
Very Snowy Christmas Hanger.

I bought the hanger last year - just didn't get to work on it.
I knew when I saw it, it was perfect for Mixed Media.

Let the fun begin! Gessoed with black and white.

Painted the outer circle with
AA metallic rusty red and dark forest.
adding crackle paste to the inside circle
Lots of  'messy stuff'' going on here
adding crackle paste, glitter, art stones.
touched up back trees in green,
AA waxes, acrylic paint for snow capped trees and houses.
It needed a backing so cut out a circle
and smooched with Tim's ox inks and some
irridescent medium for shimmer.
and that finished off my
Christmas Wall Hanger.

Head over to our Blog to see what my
Talented Team Mates had fun creating.
Hope you get some 'you' time to create
a little mixed media something for us.
This is our last challenge for the year.

We take a break in January but
we will be back with more Mixed Media
for your pleasure in February.

Thank you for your kind comments throughout the year.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas
and a Safe Happy and Healthy New Year.

I'm Guest Designer at Color Hues

I am excited and honoured to be
the Guest Designer
for Challenge #54

Here is what I made
I started with my background inking the
Altenew Peony Bouquet flower several times
with Memento Paris Dusk onto cream card stock.
I then inked and layered up the peony flower and
Altenew Beautiful Day leaves in the same ink.
The last layer of the flower is heat embossed with
sparkly candy blue embossing powder as is the small leaves.
Here is a close up you can see a little of the sparkle
Added some navy blue thread to the back
while putting my floral spray together.
Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers and
cut from MFT circle die.
Framed in blue and attached to cream card base.
Isn't it just such a lovely combo?
You will want to head over to Color Hues Home
to see what  the Talented Design Team
created for your inspiration
and we all look forward to seeing yours in the Gallery.
You have till the 28th December.
See you there.

Thank you so much Color Hues for the pleasure of being
your Guest Designer for December.

A Merry 'Deer'

It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls
and full of wonderful Christmas Inspiration.
This is our last challenge for the year
as we take December off to
unwind, get ready for festivities,
relax and share time with family and friends.

Here's a closer look!

What took your eye?
For me it was that photo above the cosy fireplace.
I got out my trusty CUTplorations Deer die
inking it up with a concoction of colours
adding gloss gel medium to seal.
The die cut behind the deer was cut from the start of the colours
and backed by four embossed Christmas strips,
adhered to kraft card base, finished by
adding a small Merry die cut.

A Big Thank You for all the lovely encouraging comments
throughout the year and to all our Talented Guest Designers.
See you in the New Year.
Have a Merry Christmas and Safe Healthy New Year.

It's Merry and Bright!

Choosing our Theme this time round at
Darlene choosing - Anything Christmas or Winter

and that is the way I went here.
Using a Christmas embossing folder
for the background, torn bits of dp,
die cut snow flakes, diamond dust, vellum,
heat embossed sentiment, white card base.
Check out what the Sistahs created
and come join us with yours in our Gallery.
