It's PARTY TIME!

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday post for
Just Us Girls and this week we have something
a little different for our Word Week.
Carol is hosting and chose Movement.

I must admit it stumped me for a while but then I remembered
I had these 'wobble' bits that you add to the back of your image
and they make them shake - yay to movement.
See what I mean!
I had fun with this project as I knew the
was perfect for my brightly coloured cup cakes.
These were heat embossed in white and
coloured with Brusho's and Nuvo Shimmer Powders.
The top wobbly cupcake has
Nuvo Glitter Drops for the icing.
Other stamps I used are

Hope you will take the plunge and play along with us this week.
Love to see you in our Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in -

My Mixed Media Jar

What's in store for you today?
It's my first attempt at a Mixed Media Jar for
and Anything Goes!

Here is how my jar started out.
by applying black gesso
then white crackle paint.
I think it cracked a bit too much so
applied some white gel medium then stenciling
on all four sides
 adding art stones from Finnebair
and now to brighten it up with Lindy's Sprays
and some cheesecloth for texture
some embellishments, painting  and waxing

and glass beads, pearls and diamond dust
and finished with  coloured cotton
and here is the lid

There you have it. My first ever MM jar.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created.
They really are super talented in the Mixed Media Field.

If you love dabbling in paints, texture and any itzy bits you have
around the house don't be afraid to
try your hand and you may just be like me and
LOVE IT!

Till next time -

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY DAY!

Hello and Welcome to May.
Oh yes we are nearly half way through the year
and isn't it scary how time is just flying by!
You know what that means - it's our
Watercolour Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers
and we are looking for HAPPY  as our
Optional Twist this month.

I made this card a little while ago while playing with
my fascination for Nuvo Shimmer Powders.
I used Cherry Bomb and Green Parade
on water colour paper. I inked randomly
using an acetate sheet to colour in the floral image
I heat embossed my
twice giving it a shadow effect.
Sentiment is from Pink & Maine.
Attached to white card base and I'm done.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and come join us in our Gallery.

I'm Hosting at Just Us Girls

Hello and Welcome. It's my turn to Host at
Just Us Girls for Photo Week

and chose this photo for our Inspiration

You all know I love purples and when I saw this
mood board I thought there was so much going for it
and I have this fabulous sea horse stamp I wanted to use again.
I did however make another simple card choosing
a floral image inspired by the flowers underneath the sea horse.

Here is what I used on my first card -
Visible Image Create Your Calm Stamp.
Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays
Navy Embossing Powder
Kaisercraft fish net stamp
CUTplorations Enchanting die.
***
For my floral stamp -
Stampin Up Because I Care/Creative Elements
Tim's Oxide Peacock Feathers
Memento Teal Zeal
Nuvo Shimmer Pen/Seeds.
***
Pop over and see what our April Guest Christine
and the Designers created.
Hope they have inspired you.
I look forward to checking it out
to see if you are our Chic of the Week.
You will be in the running to be our Guest in June.

A big Thank You to Christine for being a
Fabulous Guest this month and sharing your talents with us.
Thanks for dropping in

Happy Birthday in Colour

We have a super colour combination this week
at Just Us Girls from Our Host - Maria.

Aren't they a perfect colour choice to make a card
with some beautiful floral dies? The main one is from
Elizabeth Craft 's Black Eyed Susan that I got
at half price. Yay! The others are from my stock.
I cut the flowers out several times from
Tim's Oxide Ink blending in
Fossilized Amber,Spiced Marmalade
and Distress Carved Pumpkin.
I also added some shimmer from Nuvo Shimmer Powder
in Solar Flare and the leaves and stem from Green Parade.
I then cut the Memory Box Pinpoint Double Frame
to show the background in the same colours as the flowers.
I had cut out the tiny bits to add to the centres
but ended up using pearls instead.
Birthday sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.
This was then popped onto white card base.
Here's a close up.
This card is flying over the sea to a very dear
and talented crafty friend and will (hopefully)
have received it before this goes live.
. I know she will see this post so had to
make sure I posted it in plenty of time.
PS For all those Outlander Fans she has the same
birth day as our Jamie. Swooning here!
Okay back to real life!
Pop over to Our Blog to see what our Guest Christine
and my Talented Team Mates created
and come join us this week.

It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls

Hello and Welcome to  my Saturday post for
Hosting this week's Challenge is Angie choosing

I went off in my own little world to make my card
and pleased with the result I was - only to find
  I read the Trend wrong!
I had made a card 'Off the Page'
Back to my play station I went and came up with -
I got out a very old SU set called Inspired by Nature
which is still on a wood block. Aren't we spoilt with
our positional tool that we can stamp over
if the first one isn't quite right!
Couldn't do that here so took pot luck
that the inks and spritzing would be enough.
It didn't turn out too bad I thought.
I used SU inks in Rich Razzleberry
Close to Cocoa and Calypso Coral,
Memento Olive Grove and Tim's Gathered  Twigs.
I fussy cut the floral image so it is 'Off the Edge'
I corner rounded the inside and attached it to
Rich Razz card stock.
My sentiment is from Kaisercraft.
Added some shimmer with Twinkling H2O's
and Nuvo Glitter Gloss.
Finished with some cotton on the side.
Pop over and see what's
'Off the Edge' with Guest Christine
and the Designers Here
Thanks for dropping in

Here is what I made for today's post -
It's a pretty simple card but full of colour and shine!
I started my background with Lindy's Magical's in
Witches Potion Purple, Sweet Violet Purple Teal
and Hydrangea Blue. I love the shimmer you get from them.
for stability and covered with heavy duty gesso.
After that was dry I cut it in three leaving a space for
the sentiment from Hello Coffee Stamp Set
(out of stock)
Inked that up then popped the Happy Flowers
and added tiny gems to either side.
0preview-HelloCoffee

And another EXTRA for your pleasure.

I used lots of 'Bloom Items' here
(Unfortunately some of these are OUT OF STOCK at present)
STAMPlorations Bloom Factory and Big Bloom Factory
for my background inked with Tim's
Oxide Inks in Abandoned Coral,
Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves
and Cracked Pistachio.
Lightly stenciled the Bloom Factory Stencil in
Memento Lulu Lavender and
die cut with the CUTplorations Curly Labels
sponging the edges.
To finish I added some splatters and my
Sweet Spring Wishes Sentiments.

Home is where the Key Fits

Welcome to a new month of challenges over at
Our Host for our Word Week is Bobby
Choosing Houses.
We have a new Guest too - Christine Perez
Welcome Christine.

The stamp from AALL&CREATE
and die from Moving Madness Creations
is from a recent visit to my craft shop and bought
with this challenge in mind.
I went clean and simple here multi stamping
my background houses with Memento London Fog.
The main two houses and lamp were heat embossed in black
and cut from a SB Circle die.
I then cut the backing from Uniquely Creative
Cross Stitch Nesting Arches.
I simply highlighted the lamp with a Gelly Roll pen
The Home key die was cut with orange card stock
and added texture with crackle glaze.
Both were popped on to the background.
Added orange card as a backing then attached to
black card base.
Finished with three tiny gold stars.

Pop over and see how Christine and the Design Team
chose to showcase their Houses and come join in
our Gallery. You could be our Chic of the Week
and be chosen as our Guest in June.
Thanks for popping in.
Comment are always appreciated.

Dream Time for Creative Artiste Mixed Media.

Hello and Welcome to  today's post for our
April Challenge over at the
where Anything Mixed Media Goes
as long as we use multi mediums.

My play time has been limited lately with
family celebrations and hubby's cataract surgery
so please excuse the lack of detail on how
my canvas was created. I was just playing around when I made
the background but came in handy for this months project.
I will do my best to mention the products I used.

Here's a few close ups

I was planning to try something new for this month's creation
but was not to be - so hopefully next time!

Products used -
Gesso, Art Alchemy Metallic Paints, Nuvo Shimmer Powders,
Stencil from ScrapFX,
Dream Catcher from Which Craft Do You Do,
SU Butterflies, Prima Marketing Art Stones
and flower (just a perfect match)
from my stash with a brad in the centre.

Will have a more detailed description with next month's project for

Thanks for dropping in.
