'Love' Always

It's Colour Week at Just Us Girls and hosting is Vicki
choosing these colours
They 'scream' Halloween to me but I chose a different path
as I am not a Halloween sort of person.
I think this flower from SU Bloom with Hope
makes for a lovely card. I remembered I had some
Twinkling H2 O's in my stash so I decided to
heat emboss the flower and go from there.
I fussy cut that out and then went on to
create the background.
This was achieved using SU Timeless Textures
with TH Black Soot & Mowed Lawn.
The green leaves are from Marianne Designs
and a MS punch.
I finished my flower with some Diamond Dust
in the centre.
and cut my sentiment from STAMPlorations Pocket Blooms
with a MFT Stitched die.
Pop over to Our Blog to see what our
October Guest Karola
and the Team created using these fabulous colours.
You are never disappointed!
Hope to see you there.

I Scream You Scream...

It's the middle of the month and that means
A Reminder for the October CUTplorations Challenge

I decided to go with Happy and chose
and CUTplorations Matching Die for my focal point.
You know the old saying -
I scream - you scream - we all scream for ice cream
A perfect Birthday Card.
There are lots of yummies here -
I decided to add a bit of interest with so many
party stamps and cut my card stock on an angle.
My ice cream cone was heat embossed with
Zing Brown Sugar then of course I had to add
toppings - Nuvo Drops in
Violet Galaxy/Wisteria Purple/Pumpkin & Blue Lagoon
and you have to have sprinkles!
I let that dry and continued on adding
some stenciling from ARTplorations Square Dance
with CTMH Thistle, Memento Lulu Lavender
TH Carved Pumpkin
So you see - so many fabulous party stamps/stencils/dies.

Thanks for dropping in and hope you will go check out what
my Team Mates created Here and come join us.
You still have plenty of  time.

A Simple Silhouette

Hello there my blogger friends -
Today I have a simple card experimenting
with some oxide inks (I need the practice)
and came up with

for the September CAS Watercolour Challenge
and for their

I am still having fun playing with some of my new
Lavinia Stamps and there are a few more to come.
My watercolour background has been smooched
several times. I then heat embossed my Lavinia Thistle
in white adding Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the centre.
For interest I stamped around it with a small script stamp
with Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink.
This was cut from a Spellbinder Die
and again with the 2 larger ones and popped.
Sentiment is from
and also has the crystal glaze.
PS I chose the LOVE die just because
I Love Thistles oh! and there is Purple...

#Updated -  Also popping this over to
City Crafter Challenge Blog for their
Challenge #378 Pick One.

I could play with more of these gorgeous colours!
I'm thinking I may just do that.
Thanks for dropping by today.
Love reading your comment. Till next time

We're Distressed at Just Us Girls

It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls
and Sue is our Host choosing a Most Popular Trend
using Inks as a background.

As I write this post I haven't yet had the experience of
trying the TH Oxide Inks but will remedy that
before this post goes live Yay!
So I am still playing (and lovin' them)
with Tim's Distress Inks for this challenge.

I did have another card in progress but time is
running out and needed to schedule this post
before heading off to spend time with family.
***
As a lot of you will know I love playing with backgrounds
so this challenge was such fun. I could have made so many more.
I started my base with a metallic card stock.
The background was made with
TH Distress Inks in Wilted Violet and Mermaid Lagoon
then I got out some Pearl EX Powder  and
smeared it with a paint brush which has given it
a lovely shimmer. I keep forgetting I have them.
Added my featured flower from
ARTplorations Rose Duet stenciled with
Pearl White Acrylic Paint. while that was wet
I sprinkled with Elizabeth Craft Cool Diamonds.
My sentiment is from
STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies 2
Finished with some gems.
