We're Trending this week at Just Us Girls

It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls
and Sue is Hosting.
She has picked one of my favourites
Vellum.

I have seen a number of cards similar to my card on Pinterest
and have always wanted to make my version.
This was a perfect time to do so.

I started my card with kraft card stock as my base
then added navy and turquoise paper.
I used Stampin' Up Inspired by Nature stamp set for
my background flower that I inked with
Memento Paris Dusk spritzed with water and
stamped onto turquoise paper.
Sponged a little ink on the centre of the flower.
The stems (from the same stamp set)
are heat embossed on vellum in white
and roughly torn for effect.
I cut out 2 butterflies from a Cherry Lynn die -
one in white and the second (a little hard to see) in vellum.
Added a few small punched circles on the body and
 a touch of Stardust Stickles.
Continued with some white brads
and navy ribbon.
The sentiment is from Gina K Designs
and cut from McGill Vintage Label Punch.

Thanks to our Designer Kaylin.
I just love this Inspiration Photo.

I have recently purchased a number of sentiment dies
and here is one of them from
Kaisercraft - Script Polaroids
I have used white as my base card
and included pink and cream to match the
colour of the ice cream cone.
The backdrop for my Smile die is
a piece of scrap DP with a little glitter on it.
Thought this looked a perfect match.
The pink paper is cut out with Sizzix Framlits
The tag is also from
Kaisercraft - Tag Shapes
Added Kindy Glitz to the 'Smile'
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping
and inked with Tim Holtz Broken China.
Cuttlebug Embossing
Button from my stash
3 Tiny Pearls & a gem to finish.

Challenge #372 at Sketch Saturday

I saw this great sketch over at
Sketch Saturday and decided to have a play.
While playing with my sizzix butterfly I thought
they would look great on the side of my card.

For the circle I used an embossing folder from
Stampin' Up and cut out with
Spellbinders Circles after I cut a
larger one as backing.
The butterflies and background DP are from
an Oriental Paper Pack.
Also used are -
Sentiment is Gina K Designs inked with
Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers
 Variegated cotton and some
gemstones to finish.

Thanks for dropping in today. Hope yours
has been a good one.

Anything Goes at 'The House'

It's ANYTHING GOES at The House that Stamps Built

So where do I start?
I had a look through my Repeat Impression Stamps
and decided I needed to use this new butterfly
so in doing so I kept my card cas.
The butterfly was inked in orange then
heat embossed in clear powder to give it shine.
I love the Spellbinders hexagons
which I popped and inked the edges
The paper was on my desk as a spare
 using the shaving cream technique.
I decided it was a good match.
I have used white and kraft card stock
Also a little stencilling a touch of stamping
from Stampin' Up Beyond the Basics
The sentiment is also Stampin" Up Pocket Silhouettes
Butterfly is Repeat Impressions #107
Finished with some bling - pearls gemstones
and some orange dots.
I am hoping time permits so I can make another
card for this challenge.

That's it for now as I am off to play!

Addicted to Stamps Photo Inspiration #155

Addicted to Stamps have a gorgeous Photo Inspiration Challenge
going on at present and you can find the details

What gorgeous colours to be inspired by.

I picked  3 main colours for my flowers
to ink from the Gina K Designs Vogue Vases Set.
I stamped the vase and the flowers with
Memento Pistachio and the vase again
and fussy cut from scrap DP
The 3 flowers were also stamped again on
3 different scraps.
Added different centres to the flowers.
The vase has 2 pearls attached.
The background is from a Stampin' Up
Embossing folder from unknown DP
My vase of flowers is stamped on card stock
cut out from Spellbinders Ovals and backed by
Scalloped Ovals and popped.
The Best Wishes die is from Cherry Lynn
from the same DP as the yellow flower.
