I got a little 'Messy' here

Oh what fun I had making my card for the
Latest challenge over at Just Us Girls

Vicki is hosting this week and chose
a Rainbow Themed Photo for us.

I got out my trusty rainbow coloured Distress Inks from Tim
and started stamping away using
STAMPloratons  Art Marks - Mixed Media Elements
which were perfect to go with my
sentiment stamp from AALL&CREATE #28
The hardest part was the placing of the stamps
so you could see the sentiment clearly.
and a 'real close up'
Added a few splatters to complete my 'mess'
I then framed it in black and on to white card base.

Pop over and see what our Guest Eva and the Jugheads
conjured up and I am sure to see lots of interesting takes
in our Gallery this week.
You know that you could be chosen as our Chic of the Week
by playing along with us!
Thanks for dropping in

Spring Time is for the 'Birds'

Hello and Welcome to today's post.
We are having a
Things with Wings Blog Hop and Linky Party
and it's already in Full Swing over at STAMPlorations
In case you missed it - here is the Link to Day One
with all the details with prizes and linky.

There is still so much more to come and I am
with the Girls for the
STAMPlorations Things with Wings Part 3
Here is what I made for your pleasure.

In my mailbox a few days ago was the
  CUTplorations Perched Bird Die
(Thanks Shery)
so of course I had to try it out.
I rummaged through my bits box and found this
colourful piece made from Alcohol Inks and Photo  Paper.
I cut out the bird die and then
did something I had never done before -
embossed with ARTplorations Ethnic Organic One stencil
It's very hard to see in the photo as it is very soft
and I thought adding dimension to take the stark white away.
That wasn't quite enough so landed up
adding some stenciled splats in the similar colours as my bird.
These were Tim's Distress Ripe Persimmon
Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio.
This was popped and attached to coloured card base.
My simple sentiment is from STAMPlorations Art Marks

Again I used the Perched Bird
I thought it would look stately on top of a
STAMPlorations Feathery Stamp
It even comes with matching dies which
I didn't need to use this time.
I started by heat embossing the feather with
Ranger Potting Soil adding colours from some
new shakers from Lindy's Magical's
I did land up die cutting the feather
so I could mask my background for the
 ARTplorations Weaving Stencil
also with Magical's.
I die cut my Magical coloured bird and cut the branch
so I could pop her on top of the feather.
I sponged 'her' with a stamp from
 STAMPlorations Scribbly Splattery Grunge
and again on her back with a darker ink.
Also inked around the edges.
A touch of Nuvo Glitter Gloss was added for her eye.
I finished with some splatters and heat embossed sentiment
from the Feathery Stamp Set. Adhered to SU card stock.

A 'Fabulous Day'

I'm back today to post my second card for the
You will remember I mentioned that I had made another
with my first posting.
Here it is!

I used the same colours from one of the baby wipes -
SU Mossy Meadow, Yo Yo Yellow and
Tim's Carved Pumpkin for my leaves
and the Carved Pumpkin, Yo Yo Yellow
and Tim's Tea Die for my multi stamped flowers
from SU Stippled Blossoms.
After stamping and arranging them I inked my
sentiment from Darkroom Door.
I dry embossed the background
then inked the corners with the baby wipe.
Added a touch of Nuvo Shimmer to the main flower
then attached to white frame and orange card stock.

My Mix is - Baby Wipe Technique, Stamping
and Dry Embossing

Thanks for popping in - till next time Cherrio
