Life is a BEACH!

Hi there and Welcome to today's post for the
CAS Watercolour Challenge to feature Birds

I was looking for something a little different
for my second card for this challenge and remembered
I had a couple of flamingo sets.
I started by inking a craft mat with
Tim's Spun Sugar spritzing with water
and smooching, then the brighter colours of
Evergreen Bough and peacock Feathers.
Stamped the palm tree and sentiment also in the
Evergreen Bough.
The palm trees always have coconuts
so added a few with Gold Liquid Pearls
and a few fell on the ground.
My 'Fashion Conscious'  Flamingo is from
 Inkadankdo's Flamingo fun
inked with Altenew Red Cosmos colours,
heat embossed in white, fussy cut and popped.
Added a touch of colour to match the coconuts
with a scallop die from MFT.

My Mix is Water Colouring, Embossing,
Stamping and Die Cutting.
Hope you like my Fun Flamingo
and to my overseas friends I hope
your weather warms up and you can
get to paddle your feet at the Beach soon.

Thanks for dropping in

I Made My Mark for Addicted to Stamps and More

Hi there and Welcome to today's post for the
Make Your Mark Challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More

This is another card I made some time ago at my
bff's house using her goodies.
The background is Tim's Oxide Inks
Loved her big sunflower die - what better
way to showcase it with the bright yellow paper.
The centre was sponged and I added
some Magicals for shimmer.
(can't wait till mine arrive)
Inked up my sentiment and cut
from a SB die.
This was attached to my kraft card base

It's a CUTplorations 'Threefer'

Hello and Welcome to today's post.
It's all about the latest happenings over at
STAMPlorations where we are focusing on Phrase Dies.
You can find The Details Here
PS This a longish post!

No automatic alt text available.

I had sooooooooooo much fun choosing how I was going to
showcase these fabulous Phrase Dies.

I knew which stamps I wanted to use with this die and chose
STAMPlorations One Cool Chick. I think it's a perfect match.
It needed a background so I versamarked  the
ARTplorations Zen Hearts stencil with pink glitter.
Also added it to the surrounds but a little hard to see.
was cut from red card stock.
Finished by adding a black mat, attached to red card base
pearls on her scarf and bracelet and a little bit of lippy.

This was pretty simple to make.
My background is a mix of Tim's Oxide Inks.
I then stenciled the ARTplorations Flowers 1
thickly with Gloss Gel Medium and
Pearl White Acrylic Paint.
Added my CUTplorations Life is Good
die cut from the same card stock as my base.
touching it up with WOS for shimmer.
Gems were attached to finish.

and my last one I went all out
adding so many bits and bobs hoping I wouldn't
make a mess!

As you can see there is a lot going on with this one.
I used ARTplorations Retro Circles first inking
and sponging in yellow to add more colour
then added crackle paste.
I started my other background with
lots of Brusho colours then I started adding
stamping and heat embossed images
from STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge
and STAMPlorations Scribbly Splattery Grunge
in a variety of colours.
I then stenciled ARTplorations Evolution
with white acrylic paint.
This was cut on angles and attached
adding the CUTplorations Art Happens die in yellow.

A Blooming Birthday

Hi there! I am back with the other card I was making for the
April CAS Mix Up Challenge using rubber bands.

I found another Brusho background in my 'bits box'
suitable for my card and went with it.
Once more I decided to heat emboss this time using
  White from Stampendous
then die cut some flowers from Tim Holtz Wild Flowers
with white card stock. I cut the background from a
stitched die then added my flowers.
My sentiment/die is from STAMPlorations Fluttery
inked with Memento Sweet Plum.

My Mix is Rubber Bands, Brusho's,
Stamping, Embossing and Die Cutting.

Once more I had fun with this technique
and have another idea swirling in my head.
It didn't quite work out first time round
but I will work on it and see how it pans out.
There may be Number 3 before the end of the month.

That's it for today so till next time -

Friend to Friend

Hi there Blogger Friends!
Today I am posting a card I made for the
CAS Mix Up Blog and this months challenge
is using something I have had on my
'Techniques to Try List' Rubber Bands.

This was so much fun using
Rubber Bands, Stamping, Heat Embossing, Dies.

I started by adding rubber bands to an acrylic block
then Versamarking onto my white card stock with
Yellow and Egyptian Gold Glitter embossing powder
randomly over the page.
I cut this with a stitched die and also
the MFT peek a boo die.
I then cut out my gifted daisy die several times
in white and leaves in gold and vellum.
Attached the popped background then attached
my daisy which I finished off by adding
some lemon flower soft to the centre.
To complete my card I added my SU sentiment
with the gold glitter and popped after cutting it
also from a MFT stitched die.

And there you have it!
I enjoyed this technique and
have more in the making.
Couldn't stop at one!

Till next time - Thanks for dropping in.
Love reading your Comments.

Here's Looking at You!

Hi there Crafty Friends!
Today's post if for the
and I was excited to make my card with one of the
New Release Sets -  Born to be Wild.

Born to be Wild

I have this fabulous stencil called
preview-evolution
which made a perfect background for my
Here's looking at You 'Zebra's'.
I thought it would be fun to shadow stamp
the second one for added interest.
I inked up my stencil with blended
black and silver pearl acrylic paint
giving it a not so stark black colour
then cut it out with a peek a boo die.
Added my zebra's to the back touched
with a hint of  Tim's Dried Margold ink.
This was popped to a black mat then white
and finished with black card base.
Birthday sentiment is from the above set
cut from a JustRite tag popped in front of
some ribbon to match the zebra's.
