Celebrate the Season

This month at Christmas Craft Creations
we are looking for Slimline Creations.
I decided to go with the traditional size after
watching Kristina Werner make This card

It's pretty simple really.White card base and
red to heat emboss my Large Christmas Flower
from STAMPlorations with Nuvo Gold Enchantment Powder.
Stamped the flower on scrap paper for masking then
blending Tim's Aged Mahogany around the flowers.
Also on the inside.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations Merry.
Decided I would add some gold embossing
on the sides for even more sparkle.
Head over and see which way the Team chose
to make their Slimline Cards -
traditional or mini size!
Looking forward to seeing the Gallery this month.
Thanks for dropping in

'TIS THE SEASON

It's time for a New Challenge over at

For this Challenge I went with a Wintery Scene.
My background is a mix of Lindy's Magical's and
Iridescent Medium on the edges and
flicked for snowdrops.
Die cut my trees with metallic paper
and added in front of very lighly inked trees
from Tim's Great Outdoors.
Sentiment is also from the same set.
Punched a few shimmery stars and
attached to navy card.
Head over and see what The Team created
and add yours to the Gallery.

A Little Bit of Ireland

Elizabeth is Hosting our Word Week over at
Just Us Girls and has chosen
Now if you look at the date -
St Patrick's Day is coming up soon and that was
my first thought on where I was heading.

After searching every stamp set I have
I couldn't find any 'lucky' ones and
that is where I was stumped for quite some time.
Eventually I went CAS with my favourite technique
using Lindy's Magicals in
Bells of Ireland (of course)
and found some tiny hearts hiding in my
drawer of old Cuttlebug Dies, cut a tiny stem
inked the edges to give a little definition.
Sentiment is computer generated using the
Emerald Isle Font (naturally)
even got lucky inking the edges.
€€€
Since we are talking about lucky!
I was lucky enough to spend time in Ireland
with my sister/husband niece and cousin
doing the tourist thing checking out the
beautiful floral displays that are everywhere,
get a photo with an Irish Model (lol)
and couldn't go past Sweet Molly Malone
then as we were driving along I saw
a sign that had MY NAME on it so
asked the bus driver to pull up so I could get a photo.
(Lucky Me)

Hope you head over to Our Blog
and see what is in store for you there.
Join in and you could be Chic of the Week and
in the running for our Guest Designer in May.
€€€
As we start a New Month we welcome our
 March Guestie JoAnn Burnam.
Thanks for visiting.

Live in the Moment!

Did you blink and February disappeared?
It did for me and found myself being reminded
the New Challenge for
Lucky for me it has been raining steadily all day
as well as last night so perfect day to get inky.
Sorry there are no progress photos this time
but a run down on how it was made
and products used.

So glad my playtime was creative and
turned out quite nicely.
I used Canson 300g Cold Press W/C paper
inking up Tim's Crackling Campfire and
Peeled Paint inks for the background.
Stencilled AALL&Create Moc Croc and
Art Anthology with texture paste,
liking that it gave me a light colour.
Then on to some random stamping from
AALL&Create #28, That's Crafty Texture
and Visible Image Live in the Moment Sentiment.
Added touches of Lindy's Pumpkin Fiesta EP
on top of the texture paste in parts.
My dragonfly stamp was a gift from a friend.
Added some Nuvo Glitter gloss to the centre of the dragonfly
then sprinkled Lindy's Ponderosa Pines Olive
over the top and roughed it up a bit.
Inked some of the edges with the same powder
and Tim's Black Soot.
Tried a bit of gold wax on the dragonfly
but didn't show up enough.
Pop over and see what The Team created
and we would love to see your MM project
in our Gallery.
Thanks for visiting.
Till next time -

A Bright Happy Happy Birthday

We have had our February Hiatus and now we
craft on at STAMPlorations.
Time to showcase what I made this month.
Something a little different for our
Anything Goes Stencil Challenge

I started my card by inking up the
with Tim's Oxide Inks in various colours
then some watermarks with my fingers.
For an interesting background I  put the
through my machine and adding
tiny red splatters before adding the

It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls

Carol Mc is Hosting this weeks challenge at
and chose such a cute and sweet photo
with so many ideas to run with.

I know there will be amazingly cute cards with bunnies abounding
so I went a different direction picking up on the pretty flowers.
Maybe I am the only one without that cute Bunny/Puppy!
I saw a card I liked on Pinterest that appealed to me
as I had stamps similar from SU.
Background stamp is Dark Room Door
and others - SU Because I Care and Nature's Walk.
Sponged the edges and coloured images
with Lindy's Magicals.
Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.
Added some cord and adhered to coloured card base.
Head over to see what the Team chose to showcase.
There's lots of lovelies there.
Now it's your turn to share yours in our Gallery.
Hope to see you there.
Thanks for visiting.

What's YOUR Favourite Pet?

Sistah Debbie has chosen the Theme for our Challenge at
The Sisterhood of Crafters and wants to see
Our Favourite Pet.
My favourite would have to be a Blue Heeler
as we have always had them on the farm
but I went with my Favourite Dog instead.
You Guessed it! A Scottie Dog in all it's traditional glory.
I decided to go with a not too fancy fun fold card.
I used Designer Papers from Boofle,
a friend brought back from London many years ago
(and I use it sparingly)
My Scottie Dog is die cut from Marianne Designs
adding black gesso for his hair.
I embossed the inside and have left it vacant
so I can add a sentiment at a later time.
There's some cute dog cards from the Sistah's over on Our Blog.
Pop over and check them out.
We'd love to see yours there.
Thanks for taking a peek at mine.

In the Pink!

Just a really quick post today as I am trying to
beat the clock and get my card in the Gallery
for the New Kids on the Blog -
Their first Challenge is

I have gone with the Retired Manhatten Flower
Embossing Folder from SU
I added Lindy's Alpine Ice Rose and Oom Pah Pah Pink
and a hint of Nuvo Golden Sparkle
to the inside and sprayed with water
then layed my w/c paper down and
ran it through my machine.
I have already done this technique recently
and will see it in a few weeks.
I then fussy cut and attached in front of
two other folders from
Darice and again from SU.
Popped my Manhatten Flower
Added a sentiment  from STAMPlorations
and Petal Pink Liquid Pearls to complete.
Thanks for visiting
See you again real soon.

Another MerryChristmas Card

It's time again for our New Challenge over at
and again I have gone CAS and ideal for posting purposes.

Unfortunately the background stamping
didn't come through enough on the photo.
(and that often happens)
I stamped numerous snowflakes
on red card stock with VersaMark Ink
then die cut my Spellbinder snowflakes
and sentiment with Metallic Galaxy Glitter paper
which doesn't show up here
adding Cool Diamonds around the sentiment
for a bit of sparkle and pearls on the snowflakes.
Attached to white card base.
Head over and see what the Team created
and join in by adding yours to our Gallery.

I'm Hosting Colour Week at Just Us Girls

Hello and Welcome to today's post for
It's my turn to Host our Colour Week choosing
some favourites of mine with my new favourite dies.

You get to see this floral die again this week
after I came across the idea of using it to cut as a stencil
in last weeks JUGS challenge.
Background and die cuts inked with Tim's Ground Expresso
with Spiced Marmalade and Peacock Feathers
for his Wildflower Stems #1 and #3
Die cut just the flower head and
touched  up with some Magical's and
Art Alchemy Peacock wax.
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping
(no longer available)
inked onto MFT circle die.
Added a gem and variegated cotton.
The talented JUGHEADS have created
amazing cards and I loved seeing
how they used these colours.
Head over and check them out -
you won't be disappointed.
I am sure you will want to play with them too.
so I will see you in The Gallery
You could be chosen Chic of the Week
and in the running for our Guest in April!

Sending this over to
I know it's a little different as I have used
a few Wildflowers.
Thanks for visiting

Just Us Girls Trend Week

Today's post is for the New Challenge at
it's Trend Week and Hosting is Sue choosing

After several attempts and choosing the wrong dies
my card came about by accident.
I was die cutting the main flower for another card
and the penny dropped - this would look great
as a stenciled background!
So you will see two cards in quick succession
with this same flower. I have only recently got
Tim's Wildflower Stems #1

Both sides of stencil - one for the inked background
the other some nearly dried up crackle paste.
How easy it was to use that die as a stencil!

and a close up

Items used are
Watercolour paper/white card base
Tim's Wildflower Stems #1
Kitsch Flamingo Oxide Ink
Lindy's Alpine Ice Rose
Crackle Paste
Art Alchemy Indian Pink Wax
STAMPlorations Sentiment
Memento Ink
Head over and see how my Team Mates
created their projects and come and have fun
with this weeks Trend.
Thanks for visiting.

Inspired by Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Popping in here quickly for the
with these gorgeous Mood Board colours.

We need to take at least three elements from the board
and of course I chose the colours as one.

After checking it out to see what I could
incorporate in my card, the first thing I noticed was
the lovely big monstera deliciosa leaf
and it happens to be in my favourite
SU Botanical Blooms Stamp/Die Set
So of course the flowers are part of my minimum elements
as is the leaf hiding at the back.
A bonus here was the Designer Paper I used
matched perfectly which I used as
the background for another element.
Added a simple sentiment and
some tiny stamped flowers to the side.
My big gem is another element as it is a circle.
There certainly is lots of inspiration  in that
Mood Board. Thank You Enfys for a
Super Fun Challenge.

A close up

This was a nice way to relax after finishing off
some lawn mowing.
Thanks for visiting.

You are 'Amazing'

It's time for our New Challenge  at The Sisterhood of Crafters
and we are looking for
Anything Feminine and  must Include Flowers
How easy is that! We all love Flowers!

I thought it a perfect time to use a few of my
bought flowers.
Background has  some random stenciling
and distressed edges.
Floral arrangement adhered in front of
some pieces of bark from my yard, cheesecloth
and art stones. This was attached to some
brightly coloured DP to match, then a
scattering of coloured pearls and
finished with the sentiment.
Head over and check out what
beautiful floral cards the Sistahs made
and head into your craft den,
create your feminine floral art
and add it to the Gallery.
Look forward to seeing it full
of wonderful flowers.
Thanks for visiting.

Merry Christmas!

Time for our February Challenge at
Our theme is to use Blue and Silver.
Such lovely softness!

My background was created with
my go to Lindy's Magical's then has
iridescent medium sponged with a baby wipe
for more silvery shine.
My ARTplorations Christmas Tree stencil
was then smothered with the
iridescent medium and texture paste
and allowed to dry overnight.
This was then attached to a
patterned metallic paper
slightly popped and finished with
a simple inked Merry Christmas
and a few pearls to complete.
Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and hope to see yours in our Gallery.
Thanks for visiting.

Holly and Ivy Merry Christmas

The New Challenge for

A very simple card using designer paper
embossing on red card which is a little hard to see
and ribbon to separate.
Die cut my Merry Christmas sentiment
and popped in front of gold ribbon.
Head over and see what the rest of the Team created
and come join in and add yours to the Gallery.
