 I chose - One for the Guys!

It's a White Christmas!

Hello and welcome to today's post for 

Christmas Craft Creations

Our Theme this month is White on White

There is something magical about an all white card

especially a Christmas one.

I got out my favourite Spellbinder Poinsettia dies

and for some snowy shimmer added

Lindy's  Milky Way White Magicals to my flower and

the foliage dies behind it.

I dry embossed a sentiment strip to the background

(a freeby from a magazine)

Did you see the little birdie sitting on the branch?

Shame it couldn't be a red one.

Adhered to white card base.

What do you do with a little leftover snippet 

that's too nice to throw out and want to use somewhere!

Thanks to the lovely Sarn from

Snippets Playground leaving me a 

kind comment on one of my cards I found

a New Challenge that uses 'snippets' YAY!

I went CAS here inking a Kaisercraft stamp 

for my background on cream card stock.

Added some gold splatters and popped my

Cuttlebug leaf coloured with Lindy's Magical's

 dry embossed for texture.

Finished with a bit of twine, corner rounding and sentiment

from Happy Little Stampers onto

rusty card base.

It's Creative Chaos!

 October is Halloween Month and DT Carol from

Color Hues Challenge has chosen

the perfect ones!

for Challenge #50

I do love these colours together

(well there is my favourite colour purple there)

so I had to play and purple is so hard to photograph!

Since I have been having fun with the

Visible Image Creative Chaos recently

(you will see that card in a few weeks)

and still on my desk - it got inked up again.

I smooched Tim's distress inks for the background

adding some stenciling from AALL&Create,

inked my flowers with VersaFine Clair Nocturne

and heat embossed. Cut the second head

and inked in same colours as the background.

Cut and coloured the vase (also AALL&Create)

Popped both flower head and vase.

Sentiment was inked and heat embossed.

Adhered to black card base to finish.

Sue is Hosting our Trend Week at Just Us Girls

and chose CAS - Clean and Simple.

An easy one here using dies.

 

I die cut my flowers with the same paper as my base

and inked them to highlight them.

Tore a bit of plasters tape, inking that also,

adhering to white card stock.

Flicked some fine splatters and finished with

a torn popped sentiment.

With Brave Wings She Flies!

It's time for our new challenge over at

Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge 

and I must apologize for my contribution this month.

It has been one of those times with so many different things

happening on the home front that craft time

has been on the back burner.

What I have made above was already started and 

just had a little finishing off to do.

I decided to make it into a card adhering to

SU card base and adding an appropriate sentiment 

from Tim's Small Talk.

My background is smooched Magical's,

Inked circles and text,

die cut background is Kaisercraft and

that beautiful bee is a Sizzix die

also inked Magicals with glossy centre.

Stencil Time at Happy Little Stampers

 It's that time of the Month for the

Stencil Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers

My stencil is from AALL&Create Mock-croc #58  sponged with

Tim's Oxide Inks. Added an inked die cut and circle inside.

Black strips are from credit card.

Fine splatters from perfect pearl spray

Added die cut flower coloured with

Art Alchemy Gold Rush Metallic Paint

Inked the edges and added a simple sentiment

to finish.

My Team Mates have been creative using stencils

Can you believe we are in to October already!

Well it's true and our new round of challenges at

Just Us Girls is upon us.

That means we have a New Guest Designer

A Big Welcome to Lynne from Rubydoobydoocrafts

 I am Hosting our Word Week with

SCRAPS! 

We all have an abundance of those leftover bits of paper - Right!

How hard is it to create a card using them?

Well for me this challenge was just that.

Even with boxes/drawers of bits, somehow I found it

hard to get what I was happy with. 

In the end after leaving it for a few days,

 contemplating whether to just thow it out and start again.

 I finally finished with something I am happy with.

I knew I wanted to use some leftovers (scraps) from

the retired SU Pumpkin Pie DP

then went looking for a colour to go with them.

Found one and started die cutting

The top strip is from Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders,

Butterfly is CUTplorations Flutter Zen #2

Sentiment - Impression Obsession

Leaf Swirl - Fancy That - inked with Lindy's Magical's.

Kaisercraft pearl.

 Don't you love it when a card comes together quickly?

This is exactly what happened for the Latest Challenge at

The Sisterhoold of Crafters

The chosen the Theme is

HAPPY EVERYTHING!

(Just has to have Happy in your sentiment)

I knew I wanted to ink up a stamp that

has those very words.

It's from STAMPlorations Happy Everything

as is the floral stamp - Darling Dog Roses.

I was going to heat emboss in gold on to

white card stock but

had the Paper Rose DP close by and

decided to see what it looked like

heat embossing in white.

Turned out nicely and finished with

adding a few little white hearts

and adhered to white card base. 

So there you have it - 

an easy peasy CAS Happy Everything card.

 Nancy has chosen such a gorgeous photo

showcasing the beautiful colours with the

changing of the seasons for our Photo Challenge.

Once again I got out those old CB leaf dies

inking them with Lindy's Magicals

and Ken Oliver's Liquid Metals.

Embossed with older CB folders to add texture.

Kaisercraft die for background

 and sentiment heat embossed in gold.

Added a gold button and attached to 

orange leathergrain card base.

It's Colour Week over at  Just Us Girls

and our Host Bobby chose such easy ones to create with.

I have seen a card similar to this on Pinterest

and wanted to re-create it .

I love using corrugated cardboard, tearing away

all the paper this time and inking the corrugations.

My orange flower is Black Eyed Susan from

Elizabeth Craft Designs using

Tim's Distress Inks, cut several times and layered.

Green and brown leaves from different dies.

Finished with twine bow and

sentiment from Tim's Quotations.

Added this to white card base.

Time for our New Challenge over at

Anything to do with Summer that is!

I went with a 'Sea Theme'

Again my Magical's created the beautiful

under the sea colours.

The lovely seahorse and sentiments

are from AALL&Create

Underwater Wonders and heat embossed.

Added some Ryn bubbles filled with

Nuvo Crystal Glaze.

A few other circles from Visible Image.

Adhered to bright blue card base.

Let it Snow!

 What is our Theme this month for

Christmas Craft Creations ???

Ribbon or Twine - maybe use both.

I got out several snowflake stamps and

heat embossed in white randomly on kraft paper.

Added ribbon from stash and a couple of

snowflake dies from Spellbinders.

Sentiment from Happy Little Stampers

is heat embossed on a tag.

Added some white cotton in a bow and red gems to finish

adhering to kraft card base.

Feeling Sentimental

 It's Saturday and Challenge Day at Just Us Girls

Choosing our Trend as Host is Carol M

Repetition! Repetition! Repetition!

For my card I got out the old retired 

Feeling Sentimental Set from SU.

It's a favourite of mine for repeat stamping.

The old stamp a ma jig comes in handy for this as 

this set is on wood.

First image is inked with Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves

and the second and third were inked and

stamped off before adding next to the first one.

Inked a strip under the bicycles to ground them.

Added a few strips of dp, sentiment

and that's it. Easy Peasy!

HLS Stencil Challenge

It's Stencil Challenge Time over at

Happy Little Stampers

I love using more than one stencil at a time

and here I used one from Studio Light and

one from Little Birdie with Tim's Oxide Inks.

Added script stamping from AALL&Create  and splatters.

Butterfly is from Sizzix die cut twice,

placing the itty bitty insides into the black outlined die

and touched up with Nuvo Shimmer Pen.

Leaving a sentiment off at the moment,

adhering onto coloured card base.

A Basket of Blooms

Spring is on it's way here and our Host Sue has picked

Basket for our Word Week at Just Us Girls.

Perfect timing for me to fill a basket with pretty blooms.

We also welcome our New Guest Designer

Julie Beech from Crafted by Jules

I really enjoyed creating this card. I have had the

basket die in my stash for 'years' 

and it is from Marianne Designs.

I die cut it from an inked piece from my  bits box.

Added a touch of colour with AA Sparks/Waxes

as I knew I wanted to use them for some of my flowers.

For my background I used

Spellbinders Opulant Ovals and Floral Ovals

from metallic card stock.

The main flower and leaves are from 

 Sizzix Thinlits 664377 Dies 

cut from leftovers from the different card stock  used here.

Smaller flowers are MS punch.

Centre of some of the flowers have Liquid Pearls.

Card base is same metallic paper.

Tag Time for Creative Artiste

 Today's post is for the New Anything Goes  

Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge.

This month I chose to make a Tag!

I did manage to  take a few pics along the way.

Started out with a die cut tag, Added Gesso randomly

then inked with distress ink, stamping

a couple of flourishes and added some glitter.

Adding on texture with lace, cheesecloth and coloured skewers

Finished with lots of greenery behind my flower,

ribbon and gems.
