I was Inspired by a Song for Challenge #75 over at The Squirrel & the Fox

I found a great challenge that suited me down to the ground.
It is over at The Squirrel & the Fox
and their challenge is to make a card
inspired by a song or movie
Details are HERE

For this challenge I decided the
beautiful Thistle Image
needed to stand out hence it is cas card.

With the Commonwealth Games being held over in
Glasgow Scotland my first thoughts went back to
seeing Team Scotland march to their
National Anthem - THE FLOWER OF SCOTLAND.

Being born in Scotland I love Thistles even though it is a weed
and of course those Scottie Dogs.
How awesome it was to see them take centre stage
as the athletes marched in to the arena.

I have used basic card stock colours for the base and matting
Tartan paper is from a friend who just happens to live in Glasgow.
I cannot remember where this thistle image is from
so cannot give credit to (sorry)
Used a MS punch, own ribbon
and the Scottie Dog was given to me by my sister.
Sentiment is from Just believe by SU.

I really enjoyed making this card because of the
 beautiful thistle image
and just listening to the bagpipes ringing out the
music of  'The Flower of Scotland'

Thanks to the team at The Squirrel & the Fox
for this challenge and giving me the reason
to make this card and remind me of my Homeland.

The Games in Glasgow have been wonderful, haven't they? I have many Scottish relations and friends who are so proud of Glasgow 2014! Your card is lovely, so elegant - I love the monochromatic thistle! Flower of Scotland, indeed!

Thanks for joining in at The Squirrel and the Fox!

This card is gorgeous...absolutely amazing looking. I love all the ties to Scotland, yet it remained clean and just gorgeous. The pops of yellow are perfect for the grays and blacks. That scottie dog charm is precious. A seriously outstanding card Ina!
