May finally arrived and our new Challenge Blog
Mix It Up Challenge is in full swing with Team A
showcasing their Craft Styles.
It is Team B's turn to showcase ours and
as a REMINDER! to get your entries in
and join in our First Challenge -
It's an Anything Goes Challenge with the
Optional Twist to Emboss.
For all the nitty gritty check it out HERE
Here is how I made my card -
This was my first attempt at using Brusho's
and I had only bought a few so of course I wanted to
'use them all' only 3...
My base is basic black card stock.
The fun began when I added
black turquoise and violet to my water colour paper
and let some magic happen.
Once that was dry I kept on adding bits & bobs here and there.
My rose stamp is from Penny Black - Temptation
which was heat embossed with Ranger black powder.
I think I should have done that first as it
didn't stamp as clear as I would have liked
but I did have other 'stuff' added (gold gelatos) which didn't help.
Next time I will know better!
For a bit more texture I have added
splotches of Inka Gold.
There is a tiny bit of script to the left side which is
from 49 AND Market
Some grunge from STAMPlorations Scribbly Splattery Grunge
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping.
Added a stitched sheet of card stock as a frame
and finished with a rounded corner.
Hope you will pop over and support this new challenge
by entering in your Embossed Project.
Thanks for dropping in -
We all love reading comments so why not leave one for me
and the Team while you are over there!

Really nice background. There is a learning curve to the Brushos and it looks like you have mastered it. Great colors and I love the black silhouette of the rose. Beautiful card!!!
All the bits and bobs made for quite an interesting look, SS. I love the Brusho bg and the gold really makes it all pop. The fun part creating such a bg is you never know what you'll get. Beautiful.
Fabulous card design.
Beautiful card design, love the colors and that rose!

Great card xx
You sure look like you had fun with those magical brusho's. Your card is fabulous, so creative and great background x
Brushos and grunge are two words I enjoy! Lovey blue tones you created and the entire background is amazeballs! So fun to see everyone's projects all complete and read the details. Happy to be on a team with you at Mix It Up! Hugz. ~Niki
