It's Out of My Bits Box with Something New!

Hi there and Welcome! It's a bit dreary here today so
perfect time to show you what I was playing with yesterday.
The new challenge over at the
and the element we need to use is BIRD.

I rummaged through my bits box
to see what I could find - just in case
there was something there and I didn't need to
make a new watercolour background.
Yay! I was in luck as I found this
 perfect little piece of
 Brusho Watercoloured Canvas.
Just the right size to heat emboss my
new not out of the packet stamp
from STAMPlorations called
preview-bloomtangled1
Now I am not a colour - in - er type but knew this would
look amazing behind my type of  colouring -
Watercolour Backgrounds.
I only had to cut a smidgen off my canvas colour
and added it to a sticky background for support
and onto white card stock.
I then got out my Wow Metallic Platinum
Embossing Powder. That was the easy part.
Now just how many bird stamps do we have?
That was the hard part - trying to find
just the right one. After several attempts
I found the one -  from SU.
Inked up with Memento Sweet Plum,
adding some Nuvo Glitter Gloss and fussy cutting.
She was slightly popped then I added a coloured mat.
This was popped onto Metallic Sculptured card stock.
This was also used as my base.
The simple sentiment is from SU and
finished off my card.
Here is a close up

I have a watercoloured background, adding heat embossing,
stamping and my BIRD!

I am dropping this card over to the
Happy 2nd Anniversary.

Thanks for dropping in today.
Till next time - Cherrio from

Oh my stars, I love this. I think I want to enter this challenge, looks like so much fun. Your background is amazing, as usual. And I really like how you have included the bird. The mat picks up the color in the background just enough. Well done!!!!

Absolutely stunning, SS. Picking out that bg (already to go) and adding the image embossed in that elegant ep created a beauty. The addition of the charming little bird was completed this masterpiece. I love it!

Who needs to 'colour in' when you can make colour move like you do, your backgrounds are always wonderful!

That birds ties in perfectly with the colors in your background, Ina. I wish I had a bunch of bird stamps/dies to choose from. I'm still contemplating. ;)
