I'm Guest Designer at the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog

Hello and Welcome to today's post.
Several weeks ago I was invited to be Guest Designer over at the
Thank You so much Jane for the Invitation.

Their New Challenge is this Sketch below.

Lots of potential here that you can go to town on
BUT you must use a stamp that is at least 12 months old.
After all it is nice to get those older stamps out
and ink them up isn't it?
I had so much fun working out which ones to use and
landed up with a couple of older Retired SU ones -
even using Retired Designer Paper and Inks.
Just don't know how old they are as I bought them
as Retired Items!

I started by inking my background from
SU Creative Elements several times.
I then got out the SU Delicate Details stamp
with it's lacey border inking and placing it underneath.
Both were inked with SU Tip Top Taupe.
My flower is from the same set as above
in Calypso Coral first then I inked
two more in Tangarine Tango and fussy cut them for dimension.

This was attached to a MFT stitched circle die
and backed with a Spellbinders Scallop die
from Groovy Guava DP.
Sentiment is from Altenew.
Finished by sponging the edges, adding cotton,
a bow and some tiny beads to the centre of the flower.

Thanks for dropping in.
Love to see how you interpret the Sketch
and add to the Gallery Here.
Of course you checked out what the
Design Team created first didn't you?

Hello Ina and thank you for being our Guest Designer at the RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE, it's a thrill to have you.
Your card is stunning my dear, what a lovely collection of fabulous SU images here, put together beautifully.
Love your background and the sweet detail of the lace border (I, fortunately, have this stamp set and I use it often).
Love the beautiful pop of color of your magnificent Dahlia, perfectly fussy cut and that sweet little bow.
Thank you again for joining my teammates and me as our Guest Designer, hope you continue to participate in future challenges.
Sending hugs.
Maria Rodriguez.

Wonderful take on the sketch. I love that you left the background uncolored. It really makes the pretty red flower pop.

Ina, this is so lovely! I like the contrast between the Tip Top Taupe background and the strong pop of the multi-dimensional flower. You even got retro with colour, using the retired Taupe! Thank you for being our guest designer at Retro Rubber Challenge.
