Trying my hand at ATC's

Hello and Welcome! I ventured into another room
for this month's Anything Goes Challenge over at
and tried my hand at ATC's.
Now I am sure most are aware of what these
'little pieces of art are -  measuring 2.5" x 3.5"
Here are my fun makes! All very different.

Now a few close ups and how they were made!

I love using corrugated cardboard as you get a great effect
when tearing it apart. After I gesso-ed the back I added some
DecoArt Crackle Paint but hasn't shown up well.
I then got out Tim's Gathered Twigs Distress Ink
Alchemy Metallics in Emerald Green
and Rustic Brown for the background
and the Spellbinder Circles. Added some
plasters tape before attaching the circles
and popping the main one which has
an epoxe sticker attached that I have had
in my stash forever.

I took inspiration from an ATC I saw
from the talented Asia Marquet.
I started with my background of Orange Brusho's
Lindy's Gold Glory of the Seas Spray and
Art Alchemy Fresh Orange Metallic Paint.
These colours were also used for my cheesecloth
and fussy cut butterfly.
Some random inking from Finnabair in black ink
adding some Nuvo Repened Pumpkin Drops.
Sentiment is from AALL & Create - #39.

I got some blue tissue paper with some items I had bought online
and thought it perfect as a start to my background.
Scrunched it up and adhered to my canvas with Crackle Medium.
Once that was dry I swiped Tim's Oxide inks in blues.
(doing the same with the attached pocket)
My denim pocket is from CUTplorations and
I cut out a bigger piece as backing.
The die behind it is from Kaisercraft.
Fussy cut the two stamped paint brushes
from AALL & Create - #39
adding some gold splatters. Gold gelatos were
also added to the raised parts.
Sentiment is from SU.

Hope you liked my first ATC's.
Pop over to Our Blog and see what Mixed Media
my Team Mates chose to make and
have a go at our Anything Goes Challenge this month.

Thanks for dropping in

You've done a stunning job for your first attempt at ATC's, Ina! Everyone is a wonderful mix of colour, texture and design. A great mix! I'm sure we'll see lots more in the future! :)

Ina, these are terrific! Love all the different dimension you've achieved on each one. My favorite is the butterfly one, but love the color combinations of each one. The plaster tape really adds great texture as does the die you used in the last one. Beautiful work!!

Love all these designs, but the butterfly is my favorite. I have not used a butterfly on a card for a long time and you have reminded me how much I like them. Great texture and dimension on all of the designs.

Three beautiful works of art Ina! Each one is so creatively unique and inspiring. I have never made an ATC, but you have inspired me to give it a try. I like the idea of these pieces of art that let you explore the different products and techniques on a smaller canvas. Great work!! xx
