It's time for our Reminder Post for STAMPlorations

Mine is for the Stencil Challenge

I found a background piece using the shaving cream technique

in my bits box and thought it would blend nicely with the

 ARTplorations Slimline Bamboo Stencil. I used 

Distress Grit Paste to give it a rough layered look.

I then inked up some watercolour paper for my

CUTplorations Dragonfly Layering Die

with Lindy's Magical's and Nuvo Shimmer Powder.

To add a little more to the dragonfly I inked

both top and bottom die with a stamp from

STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge

a stamp set I go to often.

Inked the tag from STAMPlorations Fluttery 

then the CUTplorations Fluttery Die for

 my sentiment from STAMPlorations Bloom Happy

I backed it with the fluttery die cut smooched

with the colours from the dragonfly.

Finished it off with backing with some

coloured card stock to match and attached to card base.

I'm Hosting 'Trend Week' at Just Us Girls

 Hi there! I am Hosting this weeks Trend Challenge at

Just Us Girls 

and chose a favourite of mine - Stencils

I love using more than one stencil on my cards,

 moving them around, adding extra colours and layers.

This is what I have done here starting with the

Two Toned Stencil from Visible Image using

Tim's new Crackling Campfire with

Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber.

On top of that I used Retro Circles from ARTplorations

with Dreamweaver Crackle Paste. 

Die cut some leaves and added a tiny bow.

Inked the edges in brown.

Sentiment is from Kaisercraft and

finished with some tiny pearls and on to

white card base.

Hello 2021

 Welcome to our First Challenge of 2021 for

Just Us Girls

 and our first Guest Dssigners

Welcome Carol McFarland and

Melanie Hungerford

I saw this lovely card on Pinterest Here

and loved the concept so decided to make my version

for our Word Week Challenge.

Nancy is our Hostess and chose

How easy is that!

I started by cutting a circle so I could 

colour the inside with Lindy's Magical's

in Oom Pah Pah Pink  then added some

more colour 'blotches' and splatters

of pink and gold. To add a bit of interest I

added some gold using a gel pen.

Then came some pretty washi tape and

a gold die cut.

My hello die is from CUTplorations

cut with black paper and waxed with

Art Alchemy Vintage Gold.

A little pink butterfly with a pearl were the

finishing touches and adhered to bright pink card base.

Thinking of You

 Happy New Year!

It's a New Year and we continue giving you

inspiration from STAMPlorations.

Here's my first make for the Stencil Challenge

Check out what my Stencil Team Mates have created

Here also.

It's always a lot of fun creating with stencils especially

when you combine a few together.

This is what I did with the ARTplorations Bubble Dance

Dots and Dashes and Checkers

Background was made with gelatos

then adding crackle paste on the checker stencil,

 oxide inks and white pigment ink on the other stencils.

Sentiment is the CUTplorations Thinking of You

cut twice for shadow effect.

Added three coloured stones around the circle to finish.

A Reminder for STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge

Posting today with our Reminder Post for the

Stencil Challenge at STAMPlorations

This time I DID make a Christmas Card and

it's quite CAS with a bit of Sparkle.

I started my background with some

VersaFine stamping with 

STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge

around a few of the edges then adding

ARTplorations Christmas Tree Stencil

with Distress Grit Paste for texture.

While wet I sprinkled it with 

Cool Diamond Glitter. Adding

white splatters for snowflakes

and a glittery red star.

Sentiment is from 

STAMPlorations Layered Holly

heat embossed onto heavy vellum.

This was then popped on to the

card base after inking again with VersaFine

The glitter was a bit hard to photograph.

'tis the Season

 It's time for the New Challenge over at

Creative Artiste Mixed Media

and since it is sooooooo close to Christmas

I thought I would make something easy -  a Tag. 

I started by stenciling my tag with Tim's Holiday Knit

with transparent matte texture paste then

spraying and wiping with his Broken China Oxide Spray

Added my die cut trees, hills and deer after they were

glammed up with Chunky White Enamel and Elizabeth Craft

Cool Diamonds.

Inked binding with the same spray and also

a touch of Nuvo Blue Blitz Powder heating it till it melted

and added some wire to the back.

Sentiment is from Tim's Great Outdoors Stamp Set.

Finished the front with a tiny star.

I like the look of two tags so went ahead and

stenciled the back one with the same stencil

and texture paste.

Think it just finished my tag off nicely.

Happy Birthday 'Deer'

 Welcome to December and our New Challenges over at

STAMPlorations

Check out what my Team Mates created for the

Here is my Make!

I had intentions of making a Christmas Card

but the colours I inked up weren't suitable so

a Birthday Card came about instead.

You can never have too many eh!

Lots happening here...

Background was an array of Distress Oxide Inks

using ARTplorations Art Splatters

with the edges inked directly from the pad.

Experimenting with my 

ARTplorations Christmas Reindeer

I stenciled with oxide ink then added

Transparent Texture Paste thickly

and waited patiently for it to dry hoping

it would turn out - which it did!

While waiting for that to dry I played around

with more oxide inks and waxes to add dimension below the deer

with ARTplorations Placid and my

STAMPlorations Ever Day Greetings Sticker 

tearing the edges and inking.

The reindeer has also been waxed with

Art Alchemy Rich Copper and Fire Ruby.

Adhered to an orange frame to match the 

Crackling Campfire Ink

and on to coloured card base.

A CAS Merry Christmas Card for Mix It Up Challenge

 Did someone say Christmas?

Well it is nearly here and over at Mix It Up Challenge

our Anything Goes with the 

Optional Twist for December is CAS (Clean and Simple)

Just what we need  this month.

here's a close up - still hard to get a good photo

of the sparkle!

I was recently gifted the tree die I used above

so I decided it needed 'sparkle' and so it is.

The background was a mix of smooched Magical's

and Nuvo Powder.

Added a silver Christmas Die attaching to

white card base and my

CAS card is complete.

A Jugs 'Merry Christmas'

 It's our last Just Us Girls Challenge for 2020

and Cecile has chosen a very appropriate photo

for us to play with.

I was going to go with the colours and gifts but

landed up getting out Christmas Paper instead.

I concentrated on the gifts, cutting my

Echo Park DP in different sizes,

adding ribbon, twine and a Christmas bell.

Adhered to a cuttlebug embossed strip and framed.

Repeated that again and attached to card base.

Sentiment die is from Lawn Fawn.

We Jugheads are having December off to

have a wee break and some family time for sure.

Me - I will be resting up after my second knee surgery,

doing my exercises etc and look forward to
