Be Strong!

It's Saturday and post day for Just Us Girls
We have the start of a New Month with
Lisa E as Host for our Colour Challange choosing
such beautiful soft delicate ones - Aqua and Apricot.
It also means we have our New Guest Designer for September.
A Big Welcome to the Talented Stephanie Lanzalotto

I couldn't find inks light enough so got out my
trusty Lindy's Magical's and did a bit of smooching.
I then inked the AALL&Create Elegant Stems
with VersaFine Clair Nocturne and heat embossed clear.
Sentiment is from AALL&Create Power of the Word
and popped.
I did a 'Cecile' to the side as I didn't want to
add a frame to distract from the floral stamping
but just needed a little colour to finish it off.
Adhered to coloured card base.
Our Guest Stephanie and the Talented Team
have created beautiful inspiration for you to
join in with yours to our Gallery.
Hope to see you there.
Thanks for visiting

My Monthly Mixed Media Make

Welcome to my Mixed Media make for

August has come and gone in a blink. Yikes!
Lots happened on the home front as well as a
trip away to celebrate my great grandson's 1st Birthday.
It was when I got home I realized I hadn't made my MM for September.
It's a quickie this time (sorry)

I found an itty bitty 4x4 canvas I had started so went from there.
I recently bought the dies in front of the canvas and cut
from woodgrain dp. Added colour to the canvas  with Lindy's Magical's.
The leaf is one I picked up in our driveway

Added stencilling with texture paste and
touched up with wax.
Continued to put it together adding
crackle glaze (wish I hadn't now)

Finished with popping my leaf and
adding colours and waxes to the edges.

Head over and check out the Mixed Media makes from our
Design Team and give a Huge Welcome to our
New Team Member - Anita.
Exciting to have her join us sharing her talents with us.

Thanks for visiting. See you next month.

Two turn 1

It's CAS Week at Just Us Girls
and Host Sue has chosen
BABY as the theme.
My cards aren't quite 'Baby' ones
more the nearing toddlers style.

It is now just over 12 months since I became a
Great Grandmother to Jaxson.
As his Dad owns a small aircraft
this is where my theme evolved.
It isn't quite CAS but I tried.
The clouds are hand cut, adding
texture paste to make them fluffy and inked for a touch of colour.
Die cut sun and circle for dimention
adding extra colour with Lindy's Magical's
Circle embossing folder is an old CB.
Plane is Sizzix Baby set inked and cut in
brown dp to resemble the Spitfire.
Sentiment - STAMPlorations and the
1 is penciled and hand cut from a TH number.
(Number dies ordered but not sure if they will
get here on time)
Adhered to white card base.

In November along came the sweetest little girl bundle
Harper - you may recall my baby card I made for her.
I had fun with this one after seeing a card on Pinterest
but now can't find the creater.
I cut the DieVersions Pretty Wings
from DP and added Cool Diamonds glitter
(a little girl needs sparkle!)

Die cut a bunch of SP circles for the body.
Embossed background is the same as above.
Die cut a circle to add the sparkly 1
Finished by adding a frame from the dp
and adhering to pink card base.
Our Talented Team and Guest Greta
have been busy with all sorts of
'baby' themed cards so pop over and see
for yourself then hope you have a baby card
in mind to make and add to our Gallery.

Thanks for visiting and hanging in there
with this longer than normal post.

A Silhouette Sunset

Time is just flying by and we have a New Challenge at
MAKE A SCENE!

It has been a little while since I got out my
Lindy's Magical's and thought the vibrance
of the colours would suit this challenge.
I added the colours by swiping with a paint brush
and a bit of dabbling with a sponge.
My tree is an OLDIE from Repeat Impressions
inked with Versafine Clair Pinecone
and heat embossed clear.
It has a lovely soft purple tinge to it .
Sentiment is also an old stamp from SU
 inked and embossed.
Die cut and framed in brown.
Attached to cream card base.
Pop over and see what my Sistah's created
and hope to see yours in our Gallery.

Keeping it Simple!

We are looking to Keep it Simple for our New Challenge at

I love when a CAS card comes together quickly.
Sometimes they just don't but this one did.
My two step stamp is Rubbernecker Poppies 719
inked with Memento London Fog and
VersaFine Clair Nocturne.
Light stamping in the background is
Darkroom Door French Script.
Sentiment is from Woodware Going to Seed.
Die cut frame and inserted grey card stock
and adhered to black card base.
My Sistahs have made such lovely 'simple' cards
for your inspiration. Check them out and
join in by adding yours to the Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in

Welcome CHRISTMAS!

What's the Theme for this month at
It's another easy one (for some)
Clean and Simple!

You will notice that my trees are the same shape as last month -
that's because I made both cards at the same time using
the same die set. Can't get it easier than that.
Die cut my two trees and attached to kraft card stock.
Added a wee star and a white embossed snowflake.
Sentiment is a very old SU one I forgot I had
till just recently.
Attached to kraft card base and my CAS card is done!
Head over to see what the Team created and
come join in. You are never toooo early
to get some CAS Christmas card rolling out.
Thanks for the visit.

and shadowed from same DP.

You ROCK!

Vicki is our Host for our Colour Week at Just Us Girls
and it's a super combination with so many possabilities!
Greta Hess from GG Creations

My card is pretty basic. I had the dies already on my desk
so went with them in the colours above.
They are from MFT and background embossed brick is Kaisercraft.
Sentiments are from Paper Smooches inked with
Versafine Clair
(I loooove those inks)
Decided to add something a little different
to finish it off  - buttons. haven't used them in an age
and don't we all have a stash!
That's pretty much it!
OH! and this is the last of my three-fers after all
there are three colours in our challenge.
Love it when a card comes together as quick as this one.
Should be a fun gallery this week with these great colours.
Check out what our New Guest Greta and the Team created and
Hope to see yours there.

My Big Bold Beautiful Butterfly...

Once again it is time for our Anything Goes
Mixed Media Challenge at

It's always fun to move away from card making and
get into the Mixed Media Zone and play.
You never know how your project will finish.
While my friend was here recently we bought a few dies
and to our surprise the butterfly above was
way bigger than we thought. You could say
we didn't look at the size did we!
Worked out nicely for my MM project though.
I thought I would go softer on the colours this time round
as I do love Tim's Speckled Egg.
Here's the how and products I used with some progress photos!
Background is coloured with Lindy's Magical's
Distress/Oxide inks and Ken Oliver Metals.
Added circles from Dutch Doobadoo stamping by Kaisercraft
and stencilling with AALL&Create Cracked Walls with grit paste.
Inked die cuts adding Stampendous
Aged Copper Enamel and adhering to background.

Die cut THAT big butterfly with heavy weight paper.

I loaded up the die with Tim's Speckled Egg,
Lindy's Magical's and Stampendous
Aged Copper Enamel around the edges
and centre of the butterfly.
Added extra colour with AA waxes of
Rich Copper and Peacock.

Cheesecloth was added to the background
before attaching the popped butterfly.
Undecided as to a sentiment if it needed one.
Adhered to coloured card base to complete.

Head over and see what magical mixed media
has been created by our Guest Anita and my
Talented Team Mates to Our Blog
for your pleasure. We would love to see you
get creative and add your mixed media piece.
using multiple mediums to the Gallery.
Thanks for taking time out to
check out what I have been up to.

Case-ing a Design Team Member Challenge

July is a month where we have Five Saturday's and at
Just Us Girls we have our Case a Design Team Member's card.
Carol Mc Is Hosting.
This is where you create your card from
one of the Design Team's cards in this weeks challenge.

We all have an over abundance of DP's so I thought
I would cut up some beautiful roses from
Marianne Designs Dark Vintage pack.
My design only uses one piece of paper -
the red rose was top left then right and
bottom one underneath the rose. These were die cut
with SB Square Dies. I then pencilled the die edges
on the back of the dp and cut to get the frame.
These were slightly popped on white card base.
Sentiment is STAMPlorations Carved Flowers
inked in Tim's Abandoned Coral.
A pretty little CAS creation that
used up a lovely colourful piece of DP.
Yep - it's another three-fer card I didn't think of
till I photographed it, and I have done it
again coming up soon. OOPS!
Of course the Team have created
beautiful cards to entice you to case them
and enter in this weeks challenge.
Hope you head into your craft space
and do just that.
Thanks for visiting.

touching up the floral hibiscus spray with extra colour
from STAMPlorations and popped an extra one on top.
Die cut the frame, added a pearl and sentiment.
Backed with coloured card stock onto white frame.
My Sistahs have created fabulous tropical bliss so
head over and check them out.
We would love to see your tropical creation
in our Gallery so come on over.
