It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls

It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Hosting this week is
Vicki who chose Sponging.
So many different ways to play with this one!

This was an easy cas card to make and a nice male card.
I decided to sponge the background
and masked the top and bottom.
The stamp I used was purchased at a recent craft show
and is from Stamp It Australia - Large Conifer.
Inked this with Memento Northern Pine.
The background colours are -
Memento Bamboo Leaves and
Tim Holtz Squeezed Lemonade/Dried Marigold.
Card stock is white linen.
The tree was inked once and then stamped off
on either side giving it the lighter effect.
Sentiment is from GKD.
While the main tree ink was still wet I dusted it with
Elizabeth Craft cool diamond glitter.
Still a little hard to see here.

And there you have it.

A beautiful card and I love the colors you sponged on to it. And, trees are always a great image for any card design.

Ina, this is stunning! I love how you masked off the area and the combination of colors you sponged is gorgeous. What a beautiful tree stamp, too.

This just totally floats my boat. Could go to a male or "outdoorsy" female, with or without glitter... I just love this.

I absolutely LOVE this card. It's very clean and simple, but that gorgeous sponged background really packs a punch. And then the trees are a perfect touch. Well done!!
