Time to 'Shine' with a Stencil

Hello and Welcome to STAMPlorations

Time for the new round of challenges.
You all know mine is for the Stencil Challenge.

My creation for this month is CAS

as I wanted to try a technique I haven't done

for ages - using leaf flakes - silver here.
(and it wasn't messy and no sticky fingers)

I chose ARTplorations Bloom-Peek-A-Boo Stencil

It's one of the new sizes and they are simply super!

I used double sided sticky paper and added the flakes

through the stencil. The sticky outline from the stencil was then
covered in Elizabeth Craft Design Cool Diamonds Glitter.

Sentiment is  STAMPlorations Shine-Say-It-Big-Series

I added a silver mat before inking up the

 ARTplorations Lupinus around the edges of my 

purple card stock in Tim's Wilted Violet.

Finished with a glittered gem.

What's the 'MIX' at Mix It Up

Here we are starting a new month which means

New Challenge over at Mix It Up
Hello and Welcome.

and I am sure you will have fun with

our Anything Goes Option which is 

to make a Fancy Fold Creation.

The choice is yours so time for some of us to

get out of our 'comfort zone' 

and get those creative cogs churning.

I am not one that is into this type of card but

I did enjoy the challenge of doing something different.

I found a tutorial for my fancy fold on YouTube Here

The designer papers I used are from Paper Rose
(An Australian Company)
 adding some grunge stamping here and there
from STAMPlorations, Visible Image and Prima Marketing
Inside sentiment is That's Crafty heat embossed in gold
Front sentiments are Visible Image
also heat embossed, cut and randomly placed
which read - I Choose to see the World in Bold Colour.

Wish Upon a Star

It's April Fool's Day so don't get caught with

all the silly things that happen today.

I'm not here to fool you but to show you my make

for our New Watercolour Challenge over at 

Happy Little Stampers

It's Anything Goes with the Option

this month of Stars!

I started by doing a galaxy background

with Tim's Oxide Inks, drying each time 

till I got a nice night sky.

Cut out on an angle and adhered to

my background of lightly inked stars.

Splashed a Perfect Pearls mix for twinkling stars.

My Wish Big Dies are new ones from

CUTplorations which were inked also

with oxide inks.

Punched a few stars spritzed with PP.

Finished with some Starform strips to the side.

Photo Week at Just Us Girls

It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls 

Welcome to my Saturday Posting.

With this lovely photo having a field of different coloured poppies 
oops! they are tulips. Better look closer next time!
I decided to make two cards.
Seems like my Poppy Stamps have had a bit of a work out 
in the last few weeks.

My first card is heat embossed in black
with JustRite Poppies and coloured with Magical's.
I added a water washed background
and some splatters that turned out bigger
than I had wanted.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations,
finished with a bow and on to light blue card base.

Second card is a Rubbernecker Poppy
inked with Nuvo Solar Flare Powder,
Brilliant Red Brusho's,
Lindy's Cuckoo Clock Cardinal and
Cathedral Pines Green onto watercolour paper.
Added some splatter (much better on this card)
Attached to and embossed background
from Kaisercraft  and on to white card base.
Sentiment is from SU.

A few things really.

You will see my first Mixed Media Post

as part of the Extended Design Team at

and to encourage the kids at home

let them have a bit of fun and see what creative genes

you handed on to them.

Hello and Welcome to my make for

Addicted to Stamps and More

This weeks challenge is 

I had a lot of fun inking up my

Rubbernecker Bouquet #919 image.

I like these stamps as you can have fun

just colouring wherever you want to.

I used my Magical's and Nuvo Shimmer Powders,

adding some splatters for effect and prills

to the centre of one of the flowers.

This was cut with a postage stamp die and popped.

It's Colour Week at Just Us Girls

It's Saturday and Just Us Girls 

 Challenge is Live!

It's our Colour Week and Vicki is Host choosing 

these three colours.

I love a colour challenge but this one stumped me.

Made it easy on myself by smooching a background

of the colours above so I could ink up (heat embossed) my new

Woodware stamp - Gone to Seed.

Some puffy textured embossing paste and

 added to the centres.

Finished with  a black backing,

 corner round and on to white card base.

Sentiment is STAMPlorations.

'Black' is Back

It's my Saturday Post so  you know it's time for
this weeks Just Us Girls Challenge. Bobby is our Host.

I knew when I saw the Trend I wanted to use
a favourite SU Set - Botanical Blooms.
It's a simple design. The hardest part was arranging
my floral spray. Luckily I have Glad Press and Seal
where you lay it down on top of your composition
and gently lift it up and it is all together ready
for you to glue together.
I used SU papers as well as basic black and white
and added some gems to the centre of the flowers.

An Easy Peasy Pour Card

I have an 'easy peasy' CAS card for the Acrylic Paint Challenge

over at CAS Mix Up

Happy Birthday to

and Thank You for the amazing technique challenges

you give us each month.

I did an Acrylic Pour at a Craft Show way back

and I had leftovers so quickly did some smooching

and cut out my CUTplorations Flutter Zen 1 and 2 dies.

Added a gem then attached to die cuts from

Uniquely Creative Cross Stitch Nesting Arches

which were slightly popped.

Finished with a die cut Birthday Sentiment,
 some tiny STAMPlorations inked hearts in
Memento Eldenberry
which just seemed to finish it off nicely

and attached to white card base.

Unfortunately I couldn't get a decent photo showing
the Arches so here is A close up!

My Mix is Acrylic Paint, Acrylic Pour Leftover,

Stamping, Die Cutting, Gems.

There's Beauty in 'OLD'

It's time for our Photo Inspiration at

Addicted to Stamps and More

and it is a 'ripper'

(Aussie word meaning good, fabulous etc

or another bonza! Couldn't help myself.)

I decided to concentrate on that old vehicle

and mine is a ute! Certainly looks like it is.

I started with my background using 

Magical Powders (of course)

in Canna Lily Burnt Orange.

They just make them so quick and easy. 

I then added a mix of crackle paste and Taunted Love Teal

  through a stencil to give it a Patina look - just like the photo.

Stamped my  'ute' with an old Gina K stamp then smooched.
Added Art Alchemy Waxes for added colour.
Framed in brown and popped in front of die cut
and waxed cogs.
Sentiment is a Tim Holtz sticker.
Adhered to brown card base.

Gentle Thoughts of You

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday Post for

Just Us Girls and Hosting our Word Week is Sue.

Going in a different direction to a get well card here
 I was thinking more like time will heal the pain for someone
going through a grieving process.

I chose a 'really old' SU stamp called Garden Collage. 

Heat embossed my image and coloured

adding some soft sponging.

Sentiment is from that set.

Added some variegated twine

and attached to brown card base.

We have a New Guest Designer for March.
