It's all about the MUSIC

This week over at The Outlawz
the colour challenge is a great one.

 You can find details HERE
Now I am from this great era and my idols as a teenager
were THE BEATLES. My favourite was PAUL
I loved the inspiration photo that Laurian put up for us
who chose the colours and twist.

This is what I came up with

I must admit I got my fingers in a very inky state but had
a lot of fun putting it together.
I started off with black card stock and topped it with
an emboss resist technique
with a CB embossing folder.
I distressed the edges and added some twine.
Now this is where I got inky after I stamped
my guitar from Inspired by Stamping using various distress inks
I tore the inked edges and attached to my card.
The back has a small bit of mesh which I also inked.
Cut out a pick from the Guitar stamp set and attached it.
I finished off with colouring some Western Boots
which is a digi kindly supplied to the DT
by Roxann Suits from Outlawz.

I am also entering this card in the

'ALL BOY' challengeover at Cuttin & Stampin

Card 4 Guyz Challenge #7 - MUSIC - HERE

Anything goes at - Through the Craftroom Door

Anything Goes at - Tuesday Throwdown

Thanks for coming to check my latest work out.

Friends of Speedy TV Challenge 113 - Tissue Paper

I came across this fun challenge over at Friends of Speedy TV
and knew I had to make a card for it.
I love using paper napkins which to me is the
same as tissue paper so I got out my drawer full of ideas
and here is what I made.

It was super easy to make.
I started off with white card stock and inked it with a
texture waive stencil from Memory Box.
Added 2 coloured mats at the back.
The dolphin napkin has been scrunched up and then glued
to paper. I added a little glossy accents to the coral at the bottom
and to the dolphins eye. And that is all there is to it.

A super quickie for today.

Another JUGS card

Here I am with another card for the current
Inspiration Challenge over at

I love this Penny Black stamp and thought it time I
inked it up again. Suited the colour combination
especially with the pretty daffodil.

A very simple card with some scrapbooking paper
a bit of embossing with a CB folder and sentiment is from SU.
I embossed the lovely little hedgehog in black coloured his body
a bit and added glossy accents to the daffodil and his cheek.
The tiny butterfly is from Sizzix.

Thanks for popping in today. Hope to see you back again soon.

Just Doodle - ing Challenge #43

I love it when I can use coloured digi's on my cards
and the one I have chosen for the
current challenge over at Doodle Pantry
is their beautiful hydrangea.

Those that know me are aware that my favourite colour is purple
so what better colour to choose to show off this lovely flower.

I used the following -
white card base
Purple Haze DP
Spellbinders Circles/Lacey Circles
MS Hydrangea Punch for flowers
MS Lace
Liquid Pearls and gel pen on flowers
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping
Scoring

So there you have it.

A big thank you to Laurie from Doodle Pantry
for this beautiful coloured digi.

Use a Freebie Digi Image Challenge #20

Our latest challenge over at Crafting with Dragonflies
is to use a Free Digi on your card and
link it to where you got it from.

As I am not a avid digi collector I checked out
a favourite of mine -
 Digital Two for Tuesday
and went looking for something special.
There were so many gorgeous images there but I settled on one
and decided to leave it pretty much as it is
and just added a little glimmer and bling.
I CASed this card from something similar I saw on Pinterest -
changed the floral image and added shimmer, bling
and a different sentiment which is from GinaK.
The flourish is from Spellbinders.

Now it is your turn to use one of your favourite free digi's
and join in on our challenge.

As this is sponsor
our Dragonfly Leader Hilde
will be supplying a SURPRISE for the winner.
Don't forget to link it back to where it came from.
Also check out the other Dragonflies
to see what they created for you.

Hope to see it soon.

Time to use your Punches & or Die Cuts at SAS4Kids.

It's time to have some fun with your punches and/die cuts
 for the latest challenge at
We were supplied with some fabulous images
from our sponsors for this challenge.
They are -
The Cutting Cafe' and the Winner will receive
3 digi's or cutting files
Meljen's Designs - 4 non coloured images
Oak Pond Designs - 1 digi of the Winner's Choice
Both my cards were made from The Cutting Cafe' images.

I had loads of fun with these digi's above
and after colouring them and added Glossy Accents
had the painstaking task of cutting them out.
I started with a cream base and inked the side randomly
with a Kaisercraft Grunge stamp. I also cut out the piercing eyes
which were also touched up with glossy accents.
Added a small strip of dp and white paper torn and inked
to the back of 'The Monsters"
The sentiment is popped and die cut with a small part stamped
with the grunge stamp.
Finished with own crinkled ribbon.

For my second card that is full of sugar.
I have used white and aqua card stock topped with
free designer paper from a magazine -
perfect to go with this yummy cake.
My cake is popped and cut out from Spellbinders Blossom 3
after I added glossy accents and a coloured gel pen to the
cake plate. I cut the bottom part of the cake from
the same dp and iced the top with Star Dust and Pink Stickles.
Also went around the icing with a blue glitter pen.
Sentiment is from Inkadinkado  popped and cut out from
Justrite Antique Frames.
Own ribbon.

Thanks for popping in and please go and check the
lovely cards from my other SAS Team.

Hope you can join in the fun using all those dies or punches
we all need to keep buying.

Off to have some coffee and cake.

Altered Item at Crafting with Dragonflies. Challenge #19

We are challenging you to do something different for our
New Challenge over at

We would like to see your creativity flow by altering a tin or jar
with a Vintage Theme.

Here is what I made
A Money Jar to put your 2 cents worth for your phone calls
to go with the telephone digi
supplied by our Sponsor

and this is how I started - the jar

Using a digi supplied by our sponsor above
I played around with it by copying it a multitude of times
inked in various colours added perfect pearls
and clear embossing it.

I scrunched it up to add effect then attached it to the jar.

Added lace with iridescent cotton and attached a
bag charm with $.
On the lid I glued old 1 and 2 cent pieces which is
old currency here in Australia.
The flower was made similar to the covered jar
again using the telephone digi (impossible for you to see lol)
with Tim Holtz Tattered Florals cut several time and finished
with an antique button.
Hope you will join in on our latest challenge
and be sure to go and visit the other Dragonflies blog
to see their awesome altered items.

It's 'One for the Boys' Challenge 72 at Send a Smile 4 Kids.

'One for The Boys'

Our wonderful sponsors for this challenge are
who supplied the Design Team with some
Great Images to play around with.

My first card is from The Paper Shelter
and I used pre coloured digi's
(my favourite kind) I used basic white card stock for my base.
I topped that with paper embossed with Quickutz Polka Dots.
I backed the main image with deep orange paper and popped.
Added a little bit of orange glitter pen to parts of the background
and heat embossed the sand with
Brown Sugar embossing Powder.
My sentiment aloha is from GinaK.

When I saw this image from Jelly Park I immediately thought of
Snoopy and 'The Red Baron'  so had to colour the plane red.
He's such a cute little guy and what better way to have him doing
what Snoopy would have done -
freefalling through the sky and clouds.
I cut the clouds out of mulberry paper to give them some depth.
I chose these colours too as this card will land up in the USA
and some 'Little Hero' will receive it

Don't forget to check out what the other
Team SAS girls have made.
Hope you will join in on the FUN and send your card
tohelp bring a smile to some sick children.
For information on this please check
Guidelines for Donated Cards.

Our winners will receive from
Jelly Park - 4 Images of your choice
The Paper Shelter - $20 Gift Certificate
Sassy Studio - 4 Images

Thanks for stopping by.

Mod Squad Challenge - case a Designer.

Currently over at the Mod Squad this weeks challenge is
to CASE a designer's card.
You can find the details for this
challenge over at this new blog HERE

The designer that I chose is Cheri Weston
and you can see her card HERE
at Stamp TV.

I used the following products for my card -

Basic card stock
DP from Kaisercraft -  Floral Delight
The tag was a perfect match to the paper so
I decided to use that instead of a stamped sentiment.
Spellbinder - Lotus Die (one I love using even though it is an oldie)
Behind the tag I heat embossed a rose stamp from Gina K
with mauve powder on the mauve paper.
Own ribbon
Added rhinestones in 2 sizes for a little bling to match
the sparkle in the ribbon.

My Purple Poinsettia's

I made this card a little while ago for a Special Girlfriend
but have never uploaded it for a challenge
as I wanted to keep it for something special.
I found 2 challenges that I would like to enter this card in
They are

where we need to use any shade of Purple (my favourite colour)
and
and use tape and something with the letters T A P E.
I chose my Poinsettia's.
I wanted to make this card different and found
 this great tutorial below

It is a flower pot card and the top part pulls out
to add your greeting to it.
As this was a personal message I can't show it here.
I changed the size to suit.
I used
Tape with glitter at the very top of the flower pot
 Iridescent mauve card stock
Heartfelt Creations Layered Elegant Swirls
Spellbinders Poinsettia Die & Flourish
MS Punches
Kaisercraft Sparklets
Mini Rhinestones
Marianne Designs Poinsettia
Distress Inks
Own silver ribbon.

Hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it
and my girlfriend was delighted too.

Sweet Treats - DCC115 Challenge over at The House

I made this SWEET and SUGARY card for a
colour challenge over at The Outlawz
and realized it fitted perfectly for the current
Designer's Choice challenge
over at The House that Stamps Built -  HERE.

The fabulous digi is from StichyBearsDigiOutlet.
It was a fun card to make with lots of colour bling and
some balloon embellishments I got as part of a Christmas present.
I added a doily and stand for the cake to sit on.
