It's Original ART.

Time has just flown by the last few months and
It's already Febraury. I am so thankful that we
take our break in January as I have had very little play time
with hubby in hospital - however he comes home in a few days
so will see how my days pan out with him needing full time care.
I need to get my project below scheduled before then.

I worked on this as time allowed so have few photos of the progress
but some closeups only and will endeavour to explain
how my tags upon tags were created.
Here are the bits and bobs -
lots going on here with the inked background
stencilled with AALL&Create. In fact the stampings
are all from them. Die cut lots of tags from
different suppliers. I knew I wanted to play with them!

Looking at where I am going to place items.

and continue on with the main tag
with cut out stamping and a tiny bit of washi tape on the side.

the corner with stamping and background stencilling
with inked edges.

the left corner with & die cut, tag on top
and lace attached to background tag.

bottom detail with finished tags with twine
and left tag has floral washi tape.

close up view of the bottom strip
with tiny tags that have ric rack and inked art stones
 and pearl.

the back tag with a pink pearl.

and that is my completed MM multiple tag make.
It was so much fun, takng some time to pick
and choose with some items being discarded and
looking for alternatives.
The hardest was the main tag, in the end left the top as is.

Head over to our Mixed Media Blog and

We are excited to have Emma join us

WELCOME Emma!

This Makes Me 'Smile'

I so love the 'Theme' for our latest challenge over at Cut It Up

My sister loved sunflowers so every tme I see them
I think of her and 'Smile'.
Hence the reason for today's die cuts and sentiment.

I love usng corrugated cardboard so that was
the perfect backdrop (swiped with white gesso)
tearing the top and bottom for my
multi die cut popped sunflower
in shades of yellow/orange from Tim's Oxide's
and some shimmer from Nuvo Solor Flare.
Added twine to the back and green leaves
cut from the same set.
I embossed an old CB leaf folder with white card stock
adding background texture
and finished with a fussy cut 'smile' from STAMPlorations
onto white card base.
Head over and see what thoughts came to mind
for the Team's 'Smile' creations
and come join in with what makes you 'smile'
to our Gallery.
Hope to see you there.

Love Always...

It's time for our New Challenge over at
Cut It Up with the Theme Have a Heart.

I wanted to get away from the normal red/pink colours
and had fun with Tim's Oxide Inks in
Peacock Feathers Mermaid Lagoon
and Crackling Campfire for the background.
My heart die cut is from CUTplorations Clustered Hearts
 with SU DP (retired)
Sentiment is from STAMPlortations Pocket Blooms.
I used metallic paper, corner rounded
and attached to metallic paper to complete.
Head over and check out what my
Talented Team Mates created.
I am sure you will want to add your
die cut heart themed card to our gallery
so I will look out for it.
Thanks for visiting.

Thinking of You.

It's our ever so popular Stencil Challenge at Just Us Girls
and Hosting is Carol M

My background piece is from my bits box
which I thought made a dramatic backing for
Tim's Abstract Florals
I got that set just before Christmas and
there is so much I want to do with it.
No colouring or adding an extra flower head
as there is enough with the
AALL&Create stencil work and colourful background
and oh! the splatters.
Added my sentiment from the set,
corner rounding and adhering to
 SU Mossy Meadow card base.
This is Annette's last week as our guest
so head over and see her creation
as well as the teams inspiration.
A big Thank You for being our Guest Annette.
Thanks for the visit.

Best Wishes.

We are into our Mood Board Challenge at Just Us Girls
and Hosting is Bobby choosing a mix of multiples to choose from.

A bigger view!
I went as close as I could with the  image on the top left
but adding colours from the palette on the right
with rust, grey and a soft pink.
Added a tiny metallic flower with a pearl centre
with a simple sentiment.
Attached to SU grey card stock and base.
Check out what our Guest Annette
and the Team took from the super Bobby Board.
Be inspired and head off and create yours
to add to our Gallery.
Thanks for the visit.

Celebrating what's NEW!

Our first challenge of the year is here at
Cut It Up and looking to create with
 'Something New" with dies.

I was gifted this layered floral die cut set
so chose to try it out for this challenge.
Cut several pieces - some white and the pink
is from a piece out of my bits box.
(would have been coloured with Lindy's Magical's)
Did some simple background stenciling with
Stamperia Formato D.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations See the Good
both inked with SU Tip Top Taupe.
Adhered to white card base.
Head over and see what's NEW
from the talented team and I am sure
you will want to add your new die cut creation
to our gallery.
Thanks for visiting

We're back at Just Us Girls!

We are back and ready to inspire you for another year at
Just Us Girls with Vicki Hosting.

We start off the New Year with a NEW CHALLENGE THEME!
We replaced our Colour Challenge Week to
Use a Die Week. More details on our Blog Here
We also start with a New Designer and Welcome to
Annette Elias who will be sharing her talents with us for January.

A CAS card die cutting some dainty flowers
inking with Lindy's Magical's -
Bougainvillea Fuchsia and Cathedral Pines Green.
While I had the fuchsia still open I noticed some colour
on the lid so stamped a few circles to the background.
The sentiment is from Kaisercraft and die cut
several times for dimension
in the same fuchsia colour as the flower heads.
Of course I had to add some splatters for a
little more colour.
Attached to white card base to complete.
Head over and check out what Annette and my
talented team mates created for your pleasure,
leave them a kind comment and
we would love to see your die cut card in our Gallery.
