Love a Rose

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday post for
Host this week is Nancy choosing Designer Paper and
We have a new and special Guest this month
It's one of our Past Designers Chris Dring from
Chrispyscreations
So glad to have you with us again Chris.

I have had this beautiful designer paper for years
and it is by Marianne Designs called Dark Vintage.
I simply cut it on an angle and added a mat behind it.
Attached this to my card base stenciled with
ARTplorations Fairy Tale Forest lightly using
Tim's  Antique Linen.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations About a Rose
(perfect for my rose dp)

You will see amazing ways our Guest Chris Dring
and the Team chose to use their Designer Papers.
There are no excuses for not being able to play
with us this week so I look forward to seeing you
in our Gallery.
Thanks for popping in.

It's a K for Creative Artiste Challenge

Hello and Welcome to my post for

It's a very special K as it was made for
my daughter's 50th Birthday.

It all started with this and applying gesso

Other products added were
Tim Holtz Grit Paste, stenciling with transparent gloss,
Lindy's Sprays in Caribbean Blue, Tiffany Lou Blue
and Tim's Broken China.
Flowers are from Little Birdie
The Heart, Number 50 and some other products above
 from Random Arts

These were covered with gesso and then
Art Alchemy Wax in Vintage Gold
Added some coloured cheesecloth behind my flowers
Heat embossed Little Birdie
Frosty Fizz Embossing Texture Paste
to the tips for added dimension.
Attached a gold 'daughter' charm
some beads to the centre of the flower,
touched up with waxes.
Also finished off by waxing the whole K
with the Vintage Gold and Peacock.
I forgot that I had taken this photo of my K
with the frame on my kitchen bench on my phone.

Once again I will pop this over to
for their current

Hope you enjoyed my presentation as much as I did
making it with much love.
Thanks for dropping in. Love reading your kind comments
and hope you can join in our Gallery this month.
You just have to use multiple mediums
on your Anything Goes Project.
Pretty easy peasy!

STAMPlorations Challenges are BACK!

It's October and we have new Challenges at
Lots of things have happened over the break
with challenges having a makeover.
You will notice that all our Challenges will go live
on the same day - just different times.
As you will be aware I was part of the
CUTplorations Team.
I have now moved to the New Stencil Challenge.
Check out all the details for the
October Stencil Challenge Here

Here is my first project.

I started by smooching my background with
Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Blue Blitz
and Golden Sparkler.
Stenciling  A-Bloom-and-Three-Buds with
Frosty Fizz Embossing/Texture Paste by Little Birdie.
This paste puffs up when heated.
While that was happening I added some
Gold Mica Powder.
I attached some gold paper on either side
and attached to metallic card base.
Finished off by adding my
Big-Hugs-Phrase-Die Sentiment
cut from gold paper.

Here are the products I used

A Floral Hello

Hello and Welcome.
Spring has certainly sprung here in Oz
and over at Happy Little Stampers we are going
Botanical for this month's
Anything Goes Watercolour Challenge.

I went with some of Tim's Wildflowers
and for my watercolour effect I
inked them with his Oxide Inks in
Seedless Preserves/Aged Mahogany
Wilted Violet and Blue Print Sketch
sprayed with water then stamped onto photo paper.
Once they were dry I buffed them with a paper towel.
I didn't quite get the washed out look I intended.
I added some white dots with a gel pen to the
centres of some of the flowers.
This was cut with a stitched die.
Added a strip of SU ribbon and a brad
adhered to some SU paper and onto white card base.
The sentiment is from STAMPlorations.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and come join us this month in our Gallery.
Love to see you there.
Thanks for dropping in.
